View 9 RepliesOn my Eris i really liked using the HTC Battery Widget. I guess it's resolution is too small for the incredible.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo a few days ago I tried out BatteryLeft
I am so impressed with this widget that I felt it deserves its own thread.
Not only does it tell you your battery %, but it tells you the est. time left and time that it will die. It's way off at first, but after a few cycles (let the phone die, charge, and repeat) it gets really accurate.
That aside, this widget will show you the apps using the most CPU, Network, GPS, Sensor, and "Partial Wake" usage.
I'm looking for an extremely simple and non intrusive battery widget thing... like on the iPhone. I just want a percent showing battery life to the left of the battery on the top bar.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhich is pretty cool because it puts a small icon in the top left corner of % remaining. But it does not tell me statistics - like what is using it the most, etc. I would really like an app that tells me the estimated time remaining on the battery.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to figure out what is draining my battery all of a sudden. I was fine going all day without needing a charge, but now it is dropping fast. I was using the dazzle widget and really like it, but not if it is the cause. Has anyone else been using this and had any battery issues. I just deleted the widget to see.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is a screen shot for Lonely Coyote live wallpaper running WidgetLocker with what looks like the WidgetLocker clock, but what battery widget is running under the clock? I've looked up settings and I think it's not native to the clock or WidgetLocker but I love it, very minimal. I've looked everywhere and downloaded a ton of wrong choices, I need some help here. Anybody know?
View 4 Replies View RelatedHoe does leaving this on effect battery life? I don't use apps that require it a lot but I wouldn't mind its functionality when I do use it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm liking Virtuous, but I much prefer the stock battery widget which just shows a qualitative, graphical battery level. Being aware of the instantaneous percentage of remaining battery at all times makes me properly crazy.

View 22 Replies View RelatedWith all of the questions and threads regarding battery usage, life and monitoring, I thought this might be a good time to share my thoughts of what has helped me *deal* with this issue.
I want to preface this by saying that:
-Yes, the stock battery supplied with our phones is probably inadequate.
-Yes, having to buy a better battery after purchasing a "Tier One Phone" sucks.
-Yes, usage is subjective and dynamic and one persons heavy usage is another persons light usage.
-No, this will not address extremely short battery life (other problems are causing that)
-No, this will not account for the phone seemingly giving a false 100% indication.
-No, this will not help anything but your psyche
That said, I think we (myself included and maybe the most guilty) are putting too much emphasis on what our battery widgets and indicators are telling us. The blessing/curse of our phones is that they report battery life in 1% increments which is great for keeping accurate battery life information, but its not great for our sanity. Think about that logically for a moment!
Here is my experiment for anyone who obsesses over battery life but can make it through a day with no worries of their battery dying!
1) Next time you fully charge your battery, after you remove it from the charger, keep an eye on the widget as it drops down to between 95% - 90% and then take notice of your default battery indicator. It will still look fully charged! Do this for a day or two if you want!
2) When you are satisfied that what I'm telling you is reality, uninstall your battery monitoring widget or app and just go about your day as usual for about a week.
I am willing to bet that those of you like me, who actually have respectable battery life but still obsess over it, will not go back to what I call "percentile battery monitoring". Of course their will be exceptions as some people just need that number, but I really believe this may help some people get over their battery monitoring obsession!
I'm trying to drain my battery it was at 7% I rebooted my phone cuz i know that kills battery but when it rebooted it said the battery is 13% now what gives why'd it do that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedBackground info:
- I'm running the "Battery Left" widget and I have it displaying "estimated percentage left", "system percentage", and "estimated time left until dead".
- I listen to A LOT of Slacker Radio.
My issues:
- I was previously getting about 19+ hours out of a fully charged battery. 2-3 days ago I started having issues with the widget (I think it may have started when I installed an update to the widget) so I recalibrated it to no avail. Then I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Within a few hours it claimed that it was getting accurate readings (when I first installed the widget weeks ago, it took days to get accurate) and now says that I should be getting 9 hours out of a fully charged battery. I know that can't be right so I'll see how the widget adjusts itself over the next few days, but, any thoughts? (I know a lot of you guys use the same widget and know how it works...)
- Also, In the first two hours of my phone being unplugged this morning, it went from 100% to 70%. I did run Slacker for about an hour and a half of that time, but could it really drain the battery that much that quickly? And I noticed that when I close Slacker, if I go into phone settings, applications, running services - there's still a Slacker update thing running in there. Could that be draining the battery too, even if it's only checking for updates?
- I really don't run a lot of stuff on this phone. I keep wifi and gps turned off. I use bluetooth only a few hours each night. Minimal web browsing. Although, my POP email gets checked every 5 mins (but I just changed it to every 10) and I do use gchat and text a decent amount, but I'd say overall, it's "light" use (except for Slacker which could be a huge drain, right?)
I've tried downloading multiple different apps today and every time, the download almost immediately fails and says "download unsuccessful"
View 14 Replies View RelatedI saw that we had a new HTC widget available to download (called tasks, pretty much a checklist) and it actually sounded like it might be useful. When I tried to download it nothing happened, and its been saying Installing for a long time now. I would really like to use this but it looks like its not going to work, and since its not installed yet I can't uninstall it and try again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust got my EVO a couple days ago so I am still learning. Where do I download widgets?? Also it has a widget to turn on and off 4g, wifi, gps. Is there any way that I can add a toggle for turning on off mobile network and cdma vs. gsm? I have a horrible signal at my office so the phone constantly searches for a signal and kills my battery. I don't want to turn on airplane mode because I do still get calls and need my phone to at least kind of work.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI hear that the google search widget is blocked on the fascinate in the market place. Can't you just download it from the marketplace on another phone and copy it to the MicroSD and install it on the fascinate?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI know there's supposed to be a update on monday which has a possible fix for the battery but this battery is draining to much. i had my phone on the charger while i took a nap and it charged from 6% to 95% and its been 15 minutes and i am already at 83%, i've messed with the settings to fix the battery but it doesn't seem to have done anything. wtf is up man its like pissing me off how bad the battery is right now what are some of the settings that i should change that i don't need to use or apps i should download to fix it. another thing that really annoys me is why doesn't this phone push like my iphone used to? as soon as something would happen whether it was a new email or something facebook or twitter didn't matter, it would automatically push and be up to date, this evo i have to refresh it for everything whats the deal? and why does the facebook app suck so much on this phone and yet i cant find another facebook app? i cant even accept a friend request on it

View 13 Replies View RelatedThere's a battery use widget which is actually a shortcut to a menu (or a hidden menu, i didnt find it anyway) that shows the percentage of the battery that every process used.
It shows me:
Android System : 70%
Cell Standby : 14%
Phone Idle : 14%
Android OS : 2%
Anyway, no matter what i do to my phone - running 1.6.3.1 , with APN on, sync off, wifi off, gps off, wireless networks off, around 30 minutes of accessing the network and 30 minutes of calls - the battery almost dies at night.
I liked the looks of Battery Left, and gave it a try. I'm running the OEM extended battery.
Removed bulk of post since developer is working with me on pinpointing the issue.
So, looking for another good 1x1 battery widget that'll do increments of 1% - or at least 5%. Suggestions? I've found several that will just report the stock %, which doesn't help since stock will only do 10% increments.
The battery widget looks like BatteryLife by CurveFish but it is a little different. Is this because of a certain them installed that changes this or is it just a different app?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was having major issues with battery drain on 2.1 (second leak) and after reading some threads here I removed the HTC battery widget. This appears to have solved the problem. Apparently the phone was not going to sleep when I had the HTC widget running. The awake time was nearly what the up time was. Without the HTC widget I do not have this issue.
Has anyone ran the Android Battery Widget on 2.1 and does it create the same problem?
I want to add a battery widget to one of my blank screens. I click on the "+" sign and look under HTC widgets and Android Widgets but I don't see any Battery Widgets.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the battery widget, but everytime I charge my phone it shows zero. I have to remove it and then add it to the home screen again and then it reads correctly after that until I charge the phone again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently installed the battery left widget after lots of people having it on the 'show us your homescreen' thread. The widget is now 100% accurate (or so it says). It is 20% different to the system reading though. (widget 33% system 53% at time of writing)
