View 10 RepliesI'm trying to drain my battery it was at 7% I rebooted my phone cuz i know that kills battery but when it rebooted it said the battery is 13% now what gives why'd it do that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedBackground info:
- I'm running the "Battery Left" widget and I have it displaying "estimated percentage left", "system percentage", and "estimated time left until dead".
- I listen to A LOT of Slacker Radio.
My issues:
- I was previously getting about 19+ hours out of a fully charged battery. 2-3 days ago I started having issues with the widget (I think it may have started when I installed an update to the widget) so I recalibrated it to no avail. Then I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Within a few hours it claimed that it was getting accurate readings (when I first installed the widget weeks ago, it took days to get accurate) and now says that I should be getting 9 hours out of a fully charged battery. I know that can't be right so I'll see how the widget adjusts itself over the next few days, but, any thoughts? (I know a lot of you guys use the same widget and know how it works...)
- Also, In the first two hours of my phone being unplugged this morning, it went from 100% to 70%. I did run Slacker for about an hour and a half of that time, but could it really drain the battery that much that quickly? And I noticed that when I close Slacker, if I go into phone settings, applications, running services - there's still a Slacker update thing running in there. Could that be draining the battery too, even if it's only checking for updates?
- I really don't run a lot of stuff on this phone. I keep wifi and gps turned off. I use bluetooth only a few hours each night. Minimal web browsing. Although, my POP email gets checked every 5 mins (but I just changed it to every 10) and I do use gchat and text a decent amount, but I'd say overall, it's "light" use (except for Slacker which could be a huge drain, right?)
What is the best battery widget? I'm looking for one that tracks by each percent. I know BatteryLife is a good one, this one did by percent on my Hero, but now it wont on my X.

View 13 Replies View RelatedOn my Eris i really liked using the HTC Battery Widget. I guess it's resolution is too small for the incredible.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo a few days ago I tried out BatteryLeft
I am so impressed with this widget that I felt it deserves its own thread.
Not only does it tell you your battery %, but it tells you the est. time left and time that it will die. It's way off at first, but after a few cycles (let the phone die, charge, and repeat) it gets really accurate.
That aside, this widget will show you the apps using the most CPU, Network, GPS, Sensor, and "Partial Wake" usage.
There's a battery use widget which is actually a shortcut to a menu (or a hidden menu, i didnt find it anyway) that shows the percentage of the battery that every process used.
It shows me:
Android System : 70%
Cell Standby : 14%
Phone Idle : 14%
Android OS : 2%
Anyway, no matter what i do to my phone - running 1.6.3.1 , with APN on, sync off, wifi off, gps off, wireless networks off, around 30 minutes of accessing the network and 30 minutes of calls - the battery almost dies at night.
I liked the looks of Battery Left, and gave it a try. I'm running the OEM extended battery.
Removed bulk of post since developer is working with me on pinpointing the issue.
So, looking for another good 1x1 battery widget that'll do increments of 1% - or at least 5%. Suggestions? I've found several that will just report the stock %, which doesn't help since stock will only do 10% increments.
The battery widget looks like BatteryLife by CurveFish but it is a little different. Is this because of a certain them installed that changes this or is it just a different app?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was having major issues with battery drain on 2.1 (second leak) and after reading some threads here I removed the HTC battery widget. This appears to have solved the problem. Apparently the phone was not going to sleep when I had the HTC widget running. The awake time was nearly what the up time was. Without the HTC widget I do not have this issue.
Has anyone ran the Android Battery Widget on 2.1 and does it create the same problem?
Just wondering which battery widget I should download out of the market?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to add a battery widget to one of my blank screens. I click on the "+" sign and look under HTC widgets and Android Widgets but I don't see any Battery Widgets.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the battery widget, but everytime I charge my phone it shows zero. I have to remove it and then add it to the home screen again and then it reads correctly after that until I charge the phone again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently installed the battery left widget after lots of people having it on the 'show us your homescreen' thread. The widget is now 100% accurate (or so it says). It is 20% different to the system reading though. (widget 33% system 53% at time of writing)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was using Battery Widget prior to a rom upgrade and it was great as it showed the %.Since the upgrade it doesn't show the %.I've tried one or 2 others but they don't have the % being shown either. To save me downloading every damn battery application can someone who has done the ROM upgrade let me know what they are using.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed the HTC Battery widget (downloaded from the Android Market) and notice that while the battery is being charged, there is a visually effective animation that continuously runs.
I always though such animations in widgets were not supported in the SDK.
How is this technically possible?
Has anyone released a more accurate Battery App? I've been using Battery Status, but I'm now bored as to how it looks. Anyone wanna recommend a good one with a nice interface?
Also, what widgets have you guys downloaded and are using?
If so, I'm not seeing it, but I thought I've seen reference to an HTC battery widget. Even the "get more widgets" option doesn't show one. I'm just looking for something small that shows a percentage number.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat battery widget are you guys using? There are a ton of them on the market.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for an extremely simple and non intrusive battery widget thing... like on the iPhone. I just want a percent showing battery life to the left of the battery on the top bar.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhich battery widget drains the battery the least...from your experience?
View 13 Replies View RelatedWhich one is the most accurate?
View 41 Replies View RelatedWhich battery widget do you fellow Eris users use? I saw that HTC made one, but I've been using the one that mPippin developed since I got my phone. It's nice that it monitors the battery and lets me turn on/off WiFi, GPS and BlueTooth or change my display options from one press.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been trying some battery widgets, and I like a lot that HTC battery widget, with the battery icon and the "battery" written down. It's a pity that this one's only for 480x320 displays. Is there a version of it for 800x480 displays?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhich is pretty cool because it puts a small icon in the top left corner of % remaining. But it does not tell me statistics - like what is using it the most, etc. I would really like an app that tells me the estimated time remaining on the battery.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to figure out what is draining my battery all of a sudden. I was fine going all day without needing a charge, but now it is dropping fast. I was using the dazzle widget and really like it, but not if it is the cause. Has anyone else been using this and had any battery issues. I just deleted the widget to see.
View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone else use this widget? its supposed to tell you down to the minute, what time your phone is going to die. ive been using it since last night, and the conditioning is still stuck on rough. does anyone who uses this widget know how long it should take to condition the battery? it says to fully charge and let it run all the way down, and im trying to do that but im also working on some side projects which requires my phone to be plugged into my laptop and consequently has been charging sporadically since about 2, and im worried that this is ruining the conditioning process.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just noticed that the battery widget (mippin) has an update available..
