I last unplugged my phone at 11am yesterday. It's now 6pm so that's been 31hrs. Under battery information it currently says 8hr 33m 24s since unplugged. Anyone else getting false readings?

I own a Nexus One running Froyo. I can just not rely on its battery status. The battery rapidly discharges when I use the phone, but then increases by some amount if I keep it in my pocket.
I have had a lot of instances when I have stopped using my phone when the battery level falls below 30%(battery color from green to yellow), only to find it green when I use it again.
I have rooted my phone, allowed the battery to die, reset its stats, but in vain.
I've had my Desire a few weeks now and am resigned to the fact that I have to charge it regularly as I have it linked to my office Exchange server using push email. As I am on call for my job I need it on overnight as well. I always plug it into the HTC charger at bed time, but this morning I noticed something odd. When I woke up (still plugged in) the battery was showing 100%. As soon as I unplugged the charger, it dropped to 90%. I've seen a similar question on the forums but the circumstances were slightly different - anyone have any thoughts, duff battery maybe?

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust installed SkyRaider 2.5.2 yesterday and radio 2.15. Using Launcher Pro+ and updated the notification bar to have the circle indicator. The charge took almost five hours. (Which I see is a common thing). However, when I unplugged my phone from charging this morning (9+ Hour charge) the battery went from 100% to 93% in about five minutes. It seems like I am losing 1% every minute or so until I reach 93%. Then it kind of stays steady. CPU clock is running constantly at 600 MHz+.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had the Droid since the day it was released and have had absolutely no problems with the battery up till now. I can still make it through a full day without having to charge it. But now it seems like something funny is going on. About a week or two back i had charged my phone over night(like i always do) a few hours later it alerted me that the battery was low and that i should plug it in(hadnt used my phone at all yet that day). I thought that was a little strange so i rebooted it, once it restarted i checked my battery and it was at 90%, i figured the phone just read the battery wrong for some reason and moved on. But today my phone randomly shut off and i had to do a battery pull to get it to come back on, i have read that the battery pull issue has happened to a few people so far so i didnt think much of it, but this combined with the false low battery reading makes me wonder if there is something wrong with my phone. Has anyone else had a false battery reading and if so did you need to replace you Droid?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI usually charge my phone over night and I have never had any problems. Last night my phone didn't charge and I woke up to a 15% charge. I figured that I must have knocked the charger out of the outlet, so I just took it to work with me to let it charge today. It's been charging for almost an hour and there is still no change in the charge (now it's at 10%). When I go under settings and look at battery use, I see that I have "1d 0h 18m 22s on battery." I don't know if my phone is just incorrectly reading my battery or something.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, I upgraded to 2.1 a few months ago. Everything seemed fine. Data works, can connect to my comp (Win 7) to transfer files no prob, bluetooth/WiFi/GPS all worked well. But about 3 or 4 weeks ago my data turns on and off at random, texts don't go through, and whenever I plug my phone into my computer, when I unplug it, it restarts.
If I put it into debug mode and connect it to usb, when I unplug it it restarts. It restarts to the Samsung lading screen over and over and over and over again until I unplug the USB. I am not computer/android guru or anything, but I do know my way around them decently. And nothing I can figure out works. i went into the Sprint store and the guy told me to do a factory reset. I did. Didn't do anything, same problems.
I'd like to know if there is a way to get the elapsed time since the phone was unplugged from AC supply. I know that I can register a receiver to catch battery events - but this just works if my service is running already when the status changes. In my case I assume that the application is started when the AC supply was already plugged out before and I then want to retrieve the time.

Today I was going to root it with SPH-M900_MR2_DD03_REL-joeykrim-recovery-2.1.3.tar. I almost always wake before my alarm, and use the alarm in case I oversleep. Would be nice if I didn't have to hear it go off a half hour later.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a problem on my first HTC Hero where after a while, when I unplugged my headphones - e.g. after listening to music, it would go into headset mode. i.e. Although no headset or headphones were attached, the Headset Icon would appear and you couldn't hear anything through the inbuilt speaker and the inbuilt microphone would not work. I got orange to send me a replacement and now the same is happening. I have to reboot the phone to get it to work.
Further info:
- I'm using a set of sennheisser headphones, have tried another third party set and the same thing seems to happen.
- have installed the headset on/off widget but even when turning the phantom headset off via this, the speaker does not always work. Don't know what happens to the
- loudspeaker mode works but then switching this off doesn't guarantee the inbuilt speak/microphone will start working
- never used a bluetooth headset
- have updated the ROM to the new faster version, but this problem happened on my original phone with the older version too.
I wonder if this is a related issue to that some people have experienced where there headset does not work - as I say I'm not using one - but it seems perhaps the software or physical headphone/headset detection in the minijack socket is dodgy?
I got this problem, the headphone logo is on my htc hero, but there is not headphone plug in, therefore I got no sound unless I plug in my headphone, but when I take it out, the logo is still there. To make it worst, I now cannot sync to upgrade the software. I did a master reset, and the headphone logo is still active. All I did was switch off my phone and turn it back on, this happen.

One thing I would like to try and do for him is set up something that will turn the tablet off automatically after the car is turned off. The tablet will be permanently connected to the 12V cigarette lighter socket via car charger. I currently use Tasker to automate many things on my phone and the tablet, and any experience in using it to turn a device off say 10 minutes after the charging source is removed (car turned off).
I own a GSM Galaxy Nexus and I picked up the official car dock yesterday, and I've noticed that it doesn't have an elegant method for pausing currently playing media when a disconnect is detected, like how when you unplug a headset and supported media apps will pause (e.g. Pandora or Google Music).
EDIT: Originally I was using Tasker's built-in media button functionality for pausing music, but that actually was triggering a global play/pause toggle which would toggle all apps at the same time, resulting in unwanted resumed playback from Pandora and Google Music. I managed to resolve the issue by using the Locale Headphone Button Plugin instead. With it I can issue a non-toggle pause event that only pauses tracks that are currently playing. There is absolutely no need to simulate a headset event.
Anyone know what could be the cause of my battery dying while I'm asleep at night? I don't put it on the charger at night if the battery is above 20% and the last couple nights my battery will be near 30% and when I wake up in the morning it's dead?! My feeds are set to update 12 hours apart which is usually around 7am, and I thought it was the auto task killer but I shut that off. The only thing I can think of is my alarm?! But really?

With the Nexus One every time i check, there is at least 15-20 apps running that dont need to be. Is there a way to minimize this to conserve battery?

Before I go on, I have no issues with 3G, been getting a solid signal since I got the phone yesterday, just a little confused on what to do? Shouldn't standby SAVE battery?
Anyone else have this happen? This morning my phone battery started draining really fast and the phone was hot. After a couple hours, battery was drained, I checked the system to see what was the drain and it showed facebook took out 89% of the battery. I'm not even using facebook. How do i get it to stop?

I've been using my phone a bit, and it looks like my battery goes down by about 10-12% for every 15 minutes I'm on a call. Is this normal? It seems like my battery isn't lasting anywhere near as long as it should. Extrapolating those figures out, you'd be looking at 150 minutes (2h 30m) of call time per charge - way below the quoted time (7h on 3G). Additionally, I seem to be able to lose about 10% of my battery just browsing the web for 10 minutes over 3G. I have GPS off, but WiFi and sync on.Are you all getting significantly better than this?

Is it bad for my battery to leave my N1 in the desktop dock throughout the work day? I leave the dock next to my monitors in the office and basically just leave the N1 in the dock while I'm at work (8:30am to about 6:30pm M-F). Is this bad for the battery or no big deal?

I think i've seen some mention of people using Nexus batteries and as long as it's the standard capacity it should fit right? Whilst I doubt the capacity is as good as the official HTC ones you can get a charger and two 1400mah batteries on eBay for the price of a single Desire battery here..

My Nexus One drains 1% every 4 minutes, no matter which ROM I install Sense, AOKP ICS, MIUI (ICS) and even Stock. The battery remains the same, I have tried various options: from calibrating the battery, wiping battery stats to purchasing a new battery. Neither of those options worked out. The battery still remains the same. My guess is that it's a hardware error.I have no guarantee, as my bootloader is unlocked and I opened the phone once.
