HTC Eris :: Won't Sync Google / Facebook Or Twitter Accounts

My Eris won't sync my Google, Facebook, or Twitter accounts. It last did so last Monday, 11/15. I have had emails, messages, tweets, etc. sent to me, but they never sync to my phone, I have to go online to get my Gmail (refreshing within the app does nothing), but refreshing manually from the Facebook and Twitter apps does work. Going into Settings > Accounts & Sync > Sync Now does nothing, and all of the settings here are correct.I've tried rebooting and pulling the battery, but it still does it. Haven't installed anything new recently, since my internal storage is full.

I got my HTC Hero yesterday and im pretty impressed. There is one thing thats bugging me though..
Is it possible to set up multiple facebook / twitter accounts on the phone? I mean I have one account for personal and one for business, i would like to be able to switch between the two...
I've configured all my emails up fine but it seems i can only have one facebook and twitter account. So at the moment Ive only got my personal account set up. Any thoughts?

I would love some help with this if anyone can figure out what's going on. I have the FB for Android app installed. I am rooted with Bugless Beast. I was trying to add FB as a sync account through settings-->accounts & sync, but when I click add account-->FB, nothing happens. Then I logged out of the FB app, and my attempt to add a sync account would bring me to the login screen. I can log in, but the account doesn't show up in my list of sync accounts. And I'm back to nothing happening when I do add account-->FB. When I go to a contact, in the sync and gallery screens both say to log in to FB to link. In the sync screen, nothing happens when I tap. In the gallery screen, it pulls up a loading screen that stays up indefinitely. I uninstalled and reinstalled the FB app, and that made no difference. Right now, I'm syncing my pictures using SyncMyPix, but I would like full integration of my contacts and FB friends. I'd appreciate any help getting this to work.

After installing Facebook 1.3 and 1.3.1 on my Eris with 2.1 my Google Contacts are stuck in a sync loop and draining my battery. It tries to sync, gets an error about contact sync not being available, tries to sync, gets error, etc over and over. Since I'm not able to uninstall Facebook, only uninstall upgrades, going back to an older version causes the non-stop syncing to stop. WOO HOO! Has anyone else experienced this? I want the new Facebook 1.3.1, but the I can't live without contact sync.

I saw previous post about the facebook syncing not working. Whats the issue? I had the same problem.When i first got my phone I had no problem everything synced into my contacts fine and for some stupid reason i deleted my accounts and when i tried to put them back in it didnt work again. I can get the updates but i cant get the actual contacts in my contact phonebook.SECONDLY NOW my twitter account for some reason has disappeared on its own and when i try to add the account it keeps saying that the login failed. I know for a fact im putting in the right information. It also was having a problem sync my twitter contacts in before this incident happened as well. WHAT IS GOING ON?

Ok, so I successfully added my facebook and twitter account using the motorola versions. I can't seem to figure out how to sync new contacts added AFTER I already synced the initial time. Does anyone know how to get newly added contacts sent to the phone?

one can have multiple twitter, email etc. accounts on Android (running 4.1.2 on a Galaxy Note), but only one Facebook account. However, I have two of them and I need *both* their contacts sync'd to the contacts database (one is my "private" profile for close friends, the other is for work colleagues etc). Also, the built-in Facebook authentication has the same problem as the contact sync - I don't want to run games like Real Racing under my "public" FB profile.
Any way to make two FB profiles on one device? Maybe with something like a "virtualization"?

I have one gmail (personal) account, and one google account (for work, not email, just google services account).My main account is my gmail one on android and it's fine.But I would also like to see my work contacts and calendar.I added it to my "accounts & sync settings" but it always said "Sync is OFF", no way to turn it on for this account.Just to make it clear, my work account is NOT a gmail account, I use my work email address as a log-in for all other google services (mainly calendar and contacts)

I am new to the Android Universe (Picked up my Sprint HTC Hero yesterday)I have a question about google accounts and email sync.
1st, On my previous phone (Windows Mobile) I had my gmail account set up so that my email is "pushed" to my phone. I thought that the android phones were automatically set up to do that, or do I have to do something to get this to work. I only ask because it seems to take a while to receive emails on my phone.
2nd, Before I got the phone I was reading up on the features, and a lot of the posts I read made it seem like I could access my google reader section, saved maps, sync bookmarks, and anything else I had with my google account. But, I can't seem to figure out how to do this. The most I have figured out on the maps is latitude, and nothing else with reader, bookmarks, etc.

I have the phone running Android 2.3.4 (rooted).I have two Google accounts setup on my phone. I use both of them as there are apps purchased from both accounts.
I would like to sync contacts from my phone to BOTH the accounts. As of now, contacts are being synced to just one Google Account. In the "Accounts and Sync", I see both the Google Accounts listed, with the "Sync Contacts" option enabled for both accounts.
Is it possible to sync contacts to both GOOGLE accounts from the phone? If yes, how?

I'm a new VZ Samsung Fascinate user. I got the phone 4 days ago.
I have noticed that my bars are never full. I even compared it with my friend's Nexus One w/ her T-Mobile service and she had 3 bars when I only had 1.
I constantly get zero or 1 and occasionally 2 if lucky. I thought I was in a bad service area but I'm sitting at home where I had full bars before getting this one - same Verizon.
What could be the cause? Do I need to take it to VZ store (I got the phone from BestBuy) and have them take a look?
My apps - Facebook/Twitter/Google Finance/Etc are all slow and often fail because of low connectivity. It's really annoying and I'm not getting full 3G impact on my phone for $30 that I'm paying!

I wanted to go to the play store on my tab to update an app I had but I couldn't connect to the store at all. So I went to the my account under the in the settings app and I saw that its been having some sync issues. I kept retrying the sync but it kept failing. So I deleted the account off of my tablet and tryed to log back in. Now it won't even log in and its telling me it can't establish a reliable connection to the server and takes me to the WiFi options in settings.
I dont know whats wrong. My internet works perfectly fine. I can surf the web, watch videos, download and even play apps that require an online connection on my tab but I can't use any Google services for some reason.

i have 2 gmail accounts personal and a business my personal account synced up fine with email and contacts.I want to sync my business account but just mail not contacts. I don't want to mix. when i added my business account it sync up contacts that i don't want in my phone. is there a way to not sync contacts on secondary gmail accounts on the gmail app. i think before the 2.1 update i think there was a way. but i can't seem to find it.

So I've poked around a bit, and am mildly disappointed with what I've found so far in my search. I need a Twitter client that can actually reliably deal with two accounts, and not mix them up. I tweet for an organization as well as my own account, and cannot have it bugging up and switching accounts as I've heard that Twidroid does. FYI, I'm using the free version of Twidroid now, and have no complaints about it thus far, but I have not been wowed by it either. Does anyone have any experience with any other clients, or should I just suck it up and throw down for Twidroid? I don't mind paying for an app, as long as it functions solidly.

I'm looking for a twitter app that will send me notifications of my @mentions and DMs for all my 3 twitter accounts.
It seems like everything makes you choose a primary account and only sends the notifications for that one. Right now I'm using 3 different apps so that I can get the notifications for all 3 accounts.
Does anyone know of an app that can do this?

2. Display multiple accounts on the widget
I like Seesmic but the widget is just too small for my taste. I can only see the very last tweet. It would be nice to have a widget where either tweets from multiple accounts are combined or there is the option to switch between the accounts quickly directly from the widget. Any suggestions?

I just finished linking most of my phone contacts to their facebook account, and now i want to get all their birthdays into my google calendar, which i thought it did automatically when you linked a google contact to a facebook contact.So was looking for an app to do this and found this one:

The problem is then, that i live in Denmark where google/ HTC? haven't opened for the paying market, so i can only use free apps unless i root my Hero, which i won't.So do you guys know any similar programs that can do this, or a way i can get this app without rooting? I have the Samsung Moment on Sprint and I gotta say I do love everything about it, but on thing is troubling me. When I go to: Settings>Accounts>Add Account>Facebook
It just takes me back to the "Add Account" screen. There's no option to even input my information to sync the account. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

I see it does it automatically for some people. I think if their name matches exactly or possible their email in Google Contacts is the same as Facebook. But how do I sync them if I changed their display name or have no email for them?

I have an HTC Evo and am getting used to the Android system - this is my first smartphone too so please excuse my ignorance. I am a medical student and have a pretty crazy schedule and I have relied on google calendar for several years now to keep my schedule. I was excited to use it on my phone, but my problem is that it is syncing with facebook and uploading all these birthdays. Now, I don't want to sound like a jerk who doesn't care about my friends birthdays but I already check those through facebook - they are cluttering up my calendar and I want them off! I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it stop syncing with facebook and it could just be that I don't know where to go. I have looked under "Settings" within the calendar and haven't found it.

Is there a way to sync all my FB contacts with Google? I see the ones that I added manually to my phone added to Gmail, but I would really like to move all these emails in FB to Google (since the majority of contacts from my FB are email anyway).

just a minor inconvenience: I used to have my phone set to sync with google, which alerted me every time I received an email. I then found out that google sync was causing an issue with my contact pictures, taking them from facebook and resizing them. it caused them to looked pixelated or "zoomed in" in hilli billy terms. So now I have it set to never sync with google. So now I never receive a notification when I receive an email. Anyone know a way I can set it to sync only to gmail and not sync the contacts? I don't really need to sync them anyway, as I have backup assistant for that purpose.

I know that the next kitkat update makes galaxy s4 users from Verizon use Google hangouts. So in preparation of this coming, is there anyway to sync hangouts with Facebook contacts? My biggest issue is that I want the Facebook pictures of the person I am talking to to show up in hangouts similar to how it does/did in the text messaging app.
