Android :: Sync With 2 Google Accounts

I have one gmail (personal) account, and one google account (for work, not email, just google services account).My main account is my gmail one on android and it's fine.But I would also like to see my work contacts and calendar.I added it to my "accounts & sync settings" but it always said "Sync is OFF", no way to turn it on for this account.Just to make it clear, my work account is NOT a gmail account, I use my work email address as a log-in for all other google services (mainly calendar and contacts)

My Eris won't sync my Google, Facebook, or Twitter accounts. It last did so last Monday, 11/15. I have had emails, messages, tweets, etc. sent to me, but they never sync to my phone, I have to go online to get my Gmail (refreshing within the app does nothing), but refreshing manually from the Facebook and Twitter apps does work. Going into Settings > Accounts & Sync > Sync Now does nothing, and all of the settings here are correct.I've tried rebooting and pulling the battery, but it still does it. Haven't installed anything new recently, since my internal storage is full.

I am new to the Android Universe (Picked up my Sprint HTC Hero yesterday)I have a question about google accounts and email sync.
1st, On my previous phone (Windows Mobile) I had my gmail account set up so that my email is "pushed" to my phone. I thought that the android phones were automatically set up to do that, or do I have to do something to get this to work. I only ask because it seems to take a while to receive emails on my phone.
2nd, Before I got the phone I was reading up on the features, and a lot of the posts I read made it seem like I could access my google reader section, saved maps, sync bookmarks, and anything else I had with my google account. But, I can't seem to figure out how to do this. The most I have figured out on the maps is latitude, and nothing else with reader, bookmarks, etc.

I have the phone running Android 2.3.4 (rooted).I have two Google accounts setup on my phone. I use both of them as there are apps purchased from both accounts.
I would like to sync contacts from my phone to BOTH the accounts. As of now, contacts are being synced to just one Google Account. In the "Accounts and Sync", I see both the Google Accounts listed, with the "Sync Contacts" option enabled for both accounts.
Is it possible to sync contacts to both GOOGLE accounts from the phone? If yes, how?

I wanted to go to the play store on my tab to update an app I had but I couldn't connect to the store at all. So I went to the my account under the in the settings app and I saw that its been having some sync issues. I kept retrying the sync but it kept failing. So I deleted the account off of my tablet and tryed to log back in. Now it won't even log in and its telling me it can't establish a reliable connection to the server and takes me to the WiFi options in settings.
I dont know whats wrong. My internet works perfectly fine. I can surf the web, watch videos, download and even play apps that require an online connection on my tab but I can't use any Google services for some reason.

Is there a way to only have certain accounts sync automatically? I have my phone set up with my gmail account as well as an Activesync account at the office. I would like to have the gmail account always sync but the work email sync manually. Does anyone know how to do this?

Does anyone know if there's a way to set the sync interval on accounts via sync adapter in pre-froyo? They've added the API to do so in 2.2 but I'm curious to know if there is a workaround in 2.0-2.1. (My backup plan is the alarm manager) What's odd is there doesn't even seem to be any preset interval either .so accounts are never synced!

I have a Nexus One running the stock Android 2.1. I've got my normal gmail account that works flawlessly, and also my company's email hosted on google apps. Both accounts are set up, and both work for email, but only the gmail account seems to be able to sync my calendar. Is this a limitation of Android, a setting in the calendar, or a problem with the built-in calendar application? If I can't get the corporate calendar to show up, it seems like a pretty big limitation.

Using Eclipse 3.5.2, SDK Platform Android 2.2, API 8, revision 2 In Settings --> Accounts & Sync --> Add Account I do not have the option to add anything but an Exchange Account in the emulator. I should be able to add a gmail account. Am I being stupid or is there a problem with the emulator?

Does anyone know of an App that acts similar to the Blackberry email client? What i really mean is does anyone know of an app that acts as a third party entering your log in details and then pushing emails to your phone (similar to what i believe the BB client does)
I only ask as i wish to connect to my Uni email address and the IMAP settings are restricted on undergraduate accounts, so cant sync in the usual way via IMAP. However, people who have BB's at uni have no issue in connecting to their emails. On asking the IT guys why this is they explained "The reason people are able to use Blackberry?s is due to the fact that they provide there password to an external company to access there mail on behalf of them which is strongly against the terms and conditions of there university account, and as a result should not be doing this at all." Essentially i need an app that mimics this. his new HTC desire?

Due to circumstances at my work , I cannot access the internal network outside.
Therefore I have to use exchange active sync to sync my work calendar whilst I am at work.
To access emails outside of work with have a email route setup and a external email host.
The short is I have to add 2 accounts under the same email address. One which will connect to the work network locally over wifi and the other that will just allow me to view work emails externally.
This has worked fine previously but since my phone has been updated to 4.4 kitkat when adding the second account it pops up with a error message about duplicate accounts.
How can i bypass this message and add the second account?

I know a lot of people are having issues with gmail pushing and I am having that issue where it won't push at all. Additionally, when I actually go to the setting and hit "sync now" it won't do anything. I am not receiving any sort of emails or updates.Anyone know how to fix this?

I would love some help with this if anyone can figure out what's going on. I have the FB for Android app installed. I am rooted with Bugless Beast. I was trying to add FB as a sync account through settings-->accounts & sync, but when I click add account-->FB, nothing happens. Then I logged out of the FB app, and my attempt to add a sync account would bring me to the login screen. I can log in, but the account doesn't show up in my list of sync accounts. And I'm back to nothing happening when I do add account-->FB. When I go to a contact, in the sync and gallery screens both say to log in to FB to link. In the sync screen, nothing happens when I tap. In the gallery screen, it pulls up a loading screen that stays up indefinitely. I uninstalled and reinstalled the FB app, and that made no difference. Right now, I'm syncing my pictures using SyncMyPix, but I would like full integration of my contacts and FB friends. I'd appreciate any help getting this to work.

According to: What's changing : About the conversion - Accounts Help, Google will be merging Apps Accounts and regular accounts. Anyone know how this might impact Android? I currently use an Apps account and a regular account both with a myname@mydomain.com login. Once I got the hang of which services used apps vs, regular vs. both (and how to tell which one I was using for what), this seems to work OK on the desktop. But on Android certain services like Checkout seem to only work with @gmail.com accounts. I wonder if this change will make things more or less confusing on Android.

Recently I got kinda excited over the new Froydvillain update cuz of Froyo, so I went to flash this rom. However I found out (I should have known too) that there's no Sense in this build. I tried to make do with it but I guess I'm too used to HTC's widget (Especially Friendsteam despite the umpteen times that it failed!). Anyways I flashed back to VillainRom12 which I was using previously and damn,
Friendstream still doesn't work cuz there's this error message when I try to access the accounts and sync settings page.

is there any way one could sync multiple Outlook accounts to the same phone? I've tried to add multiple accounts that aren't Outlook, and I can't do it.
Or, what is a good work-around to try? Porting the accounts to Google calendars and sync them that way? It's for work, so I don't know if that would be the best option.

The primary account on my N1 is a Google Apps account. I added code to one of my apps to support the LVL. Now I am trying to test it on my N1. Since the address associated with my market publisher acct is an @gmail address and not my Google Apps account the license check fails every time. I tried adding my Google Apps account to the list of "test" accounts in my profile. It continues to fail. Has anyone else encountered this? Has anyone been successful using a Google Apps account as a test account?

I have 2 Exchange accounts and I have been able to configure both of them for Push notification to my Droid 2, I was wondering does anybody know how I can just open the second account in case I wanted to read an email that came in earlier that I have already looked at and therefore does not show up in my notifications any longer? When I open the Email application it only shows my Default account and it does not appear to give me any options to open and look at my second account.

I've tried searching around Google and this forum and couldn't find an answer to this question, so figured I'd post.Basically I do all my syncing manually, whereby I have a number of items in my Accounts & Sync list (a Facebook account, two Gmail accounts, Twitter, etc) get synced when I hit a shortcut on my desktop. These all work fine.My problem is that I have other things that I want to sync as well - namely the Weather Channel app, the other Facebook app (the one that isn't Friendstream), Tripit, etc., and it seems the only way to sync these manually is to open the program and hit sync/refresh. I don't want to use a scheduled sync.I want to be able to add them to the main list in 'Settings > Accounts & sync' so that I can do all my syncs in the one go, the native/official ones as well as these other ones, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do this.

one can have multiple twitter, email etc. accounts on Android (running 4.1.2 on a Galaxy Note), but only one Facebook account. However, I have two of them and I need *both* their contacts sync'd to the contacts database (one is my "private" profile for close friends, the other is for work colleagues etc). Also, the built-in Facebook authentication has the same problem as the contact sync - I don't want to run games like Real Racing under my "public" FB profile.
Any way to make two FB profiles on one device? Maybe with something like a "virtualization"?

I'm looking for an app that backs up the "Accounts & Sync" settings for all my accounts, before flashing a new rom. I tried "MyBackup" from the market and it backed up my Sensation quite nicely, but it doesn't restore the accounts and setting up everything again was difficult.
Any app that does a backup that includes a backup of the "Accounts & Sync" settings?

Here's the deal: I will be upgrading to the Droid X very soon. I know that when you setup the phone you have to tie it to a Google/gmail account, but what if my wife wants to check her email and stuff as well? She isn't going to have a smartphone of her own. Is there a way to designate an app or widget for her Google account on my smartphone? Or will she have to go through the browser every time and log-in?

I did a search and found some old (4-11 months old) threads but I'm hoping there's been some updates.I just decided to give Google Talk a whirl and it looks great, but the first account I added to my phone isn't the account I primarily use (which has the majority of my contacts). Is there a way to switch accounts in Google Talk so I have all the contacts from my main account?If not (that'd be something they need to address in a GTalk update) is there an app that will allow me to use the other?

I've got two Corporate Exchange Accounts with which I want to be able to Sync both email and calendars with my Fascinate. My wife has the Motorola Droid 2 with Android 2.2 and it supports multiple Corporate Sync (Exchange) Accounts. (She has three exchange accounts - two part time jobs and one for personal). I bought the Fascinate, but after I got home realized it only will support one Corporate Sync account natively. I have downloaded and installed Touchdown temporarily to handle my second Exchange Account, but Touchdown also only supports one account. I'd much prefer to use the same application for both accounts so I can see my calendars overlayed.
As I understood it, Android 2.1 supported multiple exchange accounts, but I think Samsung made a decision to override that, by including an Email app on the Fascinate that only supports one account. Has anybody heard about Fascinate's Android 2.2 (Froyo) update and whether or not it will support multiple Corporate accounts? With the exception of not supporting Multiple Exchange accounts, this phone really hit it out of the park for me. Great screen, thin and light, fast, 3G Hotspot (so I can get rid of my aircard). I'm 4 days into my 30 days with Verizon. I hope we hear something about Fascinate's 2.2 update before then.

i have 2 gmail accounts personal and a business my personal account synced up fine with email and contacts.I want to sync my business account but just mail not contacts. I don't want to mix. when i added my business account it sync up contacts that i don't want in my phone. is there a way to not sync contacts on secondary gmail accounts on the gmail app. i think before the 2.1 update i think there was a way. but i can't seem to find it.
