Sprint HTC Hero :: Apps Missing From Market
Jun 23, 2010I had Shooter Lite (a free ballistics app) on stock Hero. Then I wiped and flashed Fresh. Now that app won't show up in the market for me.I know I read something about apps not showing up if the ROM is not "signed" by Google, or something. But the zip from Fresh 2.1.2 ends with "_signed_release". So what do you do to get missing apps to show up?

Oct 3, 2010Today i have been having some fun today downloading and yes buying (!) apps from the mkt. well, i started getting a little instability - i couldn't get an IP from my wireless router --- i had d/l "wifi keep alive" and "wifi reconnect" and "wifi reassociation". so i went to the mkt intending to uninstall one by one until i restored my ability to DHCP to the router. selecting the "downloads" section of the mkt revealed only about two pages worth of apps. believe me - i have a LOT more apps than that! mostly all the apps that appear are purchased apps (one exception - gmail is there too) - but even then, not "all" of my purchased apps are there! in doing my due dilligence checking to see if anyone else had this problem and solved it, i found this thread and this thread - neither of which have anything to say to help me. ANY idea how to get my apps to show up in the mkt? the apps themselves ARE STILL ON MY hero, they just don't appear in the mkt)

Nov 19, 2009I have done the latest firmware update and for some reason I can not find the App called Calorie Counter. This was one of my favorite apps and now its like it never existed? Does anybody else not see calorie counter when they search for it? I don't understand how it could just not show up anymore in the market. If anyone has it, could they possibly back up the app to there SD card and send me the .apk file so I can install it? Would that work?

Anyone here running stock Hero 1.5 able to download Weatherbug Elite, Camera Zoom FX or tapatalk? I was told by our network that when we get 2.1 they will appear, but if I remember right there were folks here running stock Hero 1.5 on Sprint who had them.

Nov 19, 2009I did a hard reset and then upgraded my firmware. I then went to re-install all of my previous applications and noticed that some were missing from "My Downloads". I then went and did a search to locate them in the marketplace and got no return, as if the application doesn't exist any more.

Nov 10, 2009Just wondering if anyone knows how data roaming works with Sprint. I was in an area where I was roaming but it seemed as though the Facebook app was updating. Maybe I hit a pocket of wifi access, I dunno.So, is data roaming happening? If so, is it included under the "no roaming charges" umbrella that comes with the Everything plans or could be be charged for roaming data?

Nov 25, 2009Maybe I'm the only one, but I can't find something that the developer says is there. I'm trying to find FlightTrack and I'm told "There are no matches in Android Market for the search: flighttrack." When I go to the developer's site and scan the 2D barcode and follow the link I'm told "There are no matches in Android Market for the search: pname:com.mobiata.flighttrack"
The developer is talking to Google about it. In the meantime, can some of my fellow Hero owners who took the recent update see if they can see FlightTrack in the Market and report it here? Then I'll know that the problem is either limited to my phone or is a general one for Heros.

After successfully following the instructions on how to circumvent the issue,I kind of had a feeling like I should be careful on which apps to download so as to not undo the workaround. Feb 28, 2010Since flashing to a 2.* rom and back a few times i am now back on fresh 1.1 and I am trying to do a few updates and download new apps but everything hangs. It just says either authorizing credit card for paid or starting download for free apps. I have even let it go over night and it never finished.

Apps such as weatherbug, barcode scanner, pkt auctions, and amazon just to name a few.I have even went back to the oringinal sprint ruu with not luck and then no luck with the OTA update. Apr 19, 2010I have seen a lot of posts saying that people once they rooted they lost access to some of the apps they had with android 1.5.This is an HTC hero rom that was ported over to the eris that I am running right now. With this rom which is running 2.1 you will get access to the protected apps on the market (the apps that come up missing). Read the known bugs section though. Included is an app that circumvents the power down hang and I actully like using it more then shutting down the phone the convential way hope this helps. People running eris with 2.1 don't have access because it has not been officially released yet.
