Whenever I receive or read an email the HTC email (green) counter doesn't update for some reason. I'm using LauncherPro and running 2.2 Froyo so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it?

I know this has most likely been discussed many times. But I am looking for a decent email widget.
At the moment I am using the default htc email widget, however when ever I read an email from my gmail account it doesnt update the read status so it still shows as unread.
I would like one that would update the read status and possible the support for unified inbox so I can see new mail from hotmail account and gmail.
For some reason lately if I delete or show a email as read it doesn't sync that to my online gmail. There has been times when it shows 4 unread emails on the phone (even though everything is read) and when I log into gmail it shows the 4 unread emails even if it was ones I deleted. I tried clearing data from settings>Applications>manage applications>gmail. I have tried refreshing it and manually syncing it and it

I do not like the email counter telling me how many unread messages I have. I have notifications turned off so I do not have anything showing up in my notification bar. Is there a way to disable to email counter?

It was still working find few days back. Still get email notificantions every 15mins like how i set. But i just realized it dosent work anymore. Had to refresh it manually to get the new emails.

I use a hotmail account on my phone and I would like to know if the email can update itself, if I have to wait for 2.1 to have this problem resolved or if it's just something that I'm missing. And sometimes the phone will say "Does not connect" when I do try to update it but it hasn't done it in the last few hours. In addition, there isn't any change in my real email account. I could read an email on my phone and still half an hour later that very same email will be considered new and unread. Is there any way to solve these issues?

Now, when I remove the the card I got with the phone, I first unmount it in the settings then physically remove it. I get notifications telling me this too. View 5 Replies View RelatedI need an e-mail application that sends all e-mails to my phone, but doesn't read them on the server (unless I actually read them).I have to check my parents e-mail on-the-go, so when I sync it to my phone, all the e-mails are recieved very well. However, right as the phone gets the e-mails, it reads them on the server without me even touching the e-mails (which gets very annoying to my parents). Is there anyway to make it so that when my phone pulls the e-mails that it doesn't read them on the server?I have the Samsung Moment, and the e-mail server is Yahoo. I've tried both K-9 and the default e-mail app, but niether have let me have this setting (as far as I'm aware).
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhen my phone is on vibrate, and i revieve a text, my phone lights up but it dosent vibrate and also, sometimes when i recieve a text it dosent go to the bottom of my text messaging list, it goes in the middle, so when i recieve a message, i have to look through all my messages to see which one i just recieved. i've noticed that the time stamp is incorrect on the messages sometimes, which my be the reason.

I get the voice mail if they leave one but no signs of then calling besides that. I love my captivate but I have trouble sending and receiving pic messages too. The intents work and I can scan 2d barcodes OK but not the 1d barcodes of books which I know scan fine using the full application.
This is my code. I have tried it without putting the intent extras and it doesn't change anything. code...
Is there something obvious I am missing? The settings in the app also are selected on 1d scanning only.

I can send pictures just fine, but when I receive them, the picture doesn't pop up in the text conversation like normal, it leaves a link to "download" the image. I click download and an error message pops up stating that the process com.android.mms has stopped unexpectedly and shuts down.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen i receive a text message the phone doesnt sound an alert or vibrate, really annoying having to keep checking the phone to see if i have any messages. The software is all up to date, ive reset the alert tone in the notification settings, and im afraid thats all my knowledge used up. Ringtone sound is fine and it also vibrates for that.
