I am using the mail app on the eris. I can recieve my emails but they will not sync. when i open up the email domain and sign in my emails that i have deleted or moved are unchanged.

Hello! I'm trying to set up my wife's droid 2. She uses outlook at work. I have outlook webmail set up on her phone. She is able to receive work emails but can not reply or send an email on her phone. It always says message not sent. Is there a setting I'm missing?

I can still send them from my phone, but not get any new ones. Gmail still works fine. I went to sprint and they played with all my settings, and did a hard reboot on my phone, still no fix.

I've set up his and other co-workers phones to receive/send emails with our work emails.
Whenever I receive or read an email the HTC email (green) counter doesn't update for some reason. I'm using LauncherPro and running 2.2 Froyo so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it?

(I guess more realistically - as soon as it's started and Matt is able to get the thread updated - but I've got faith in 'ol Matt!) You do have to be a member there to subscribe.

Yes, the notice will be a hair behind the very instant it is released, but with any luck not too behind. I will delete this thread after the update is complete. Had my Desire for a week now and synced it to Google mail fine. In the last few days though it doesn't make the message notification sound when I receive an email, which it did for the first few days. I haven't changed anything I'm aware of so anyone know whats up?

I have my Yahoo and Optonline (Cablevision ISP, pop/smtp server) email accounts linked up with DX. Whenever I get something into Yahoo account over 5MB it just gives me a link to download the attachment rather than displaying in inbox. I can live with that. But my Optonline email account just gives me a message "attachment exceeds the limit" and nothing I can do about it. Its very consistent with anything over 5MB. I'm wondering if there is a setting somewhere to increase the allowable incoming attachment size? Any idea?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyone noticing their Yahoo notification not showing up in the bar when they receive email? I get the sound, but there is no icon displayed in the bar. When I pull the bar down, I see the message title, but the icon does not appear.
Also, I've noticed on the Messaging app, that the Yahoo icon is missing the purple Y. The icon is just a generic looking envelope. Something has changed with the account. Battery pulls or logging in or out of the account have not helped either.

on both my tablet and phone i have facebook and gmail applications. they are basically the same .apks since i have a backup of them on a sd card and if i format one device, i often use restire the apps from the sd card.
and you know how you get an instant notification on your phone if you receive a fb message or an e-mail? that doesn't happen on my tablet. it seems that a couple of minutes after i turn off the display on my tablet, it drops the wifi connection (a power save thing i suppose).
is there any way to ensure a constant wifi connection on my tablet so that i receive email/fb notifications in real time and just not after i turn the display on?

At the phone start, deep sleep mode works fine, but as soon as i receive an email or SMS, the phone will never go back in powersaving mode. Just as if the service crashed and the phone still "Awake". I've tested several solutions and apps:
- Deep Sleep Battery Saver: Failed
- One power guard: Failed
- Powersaving tweaks from Pimpmyrom: Failed
Of course i've checked if a service or apps aren't involved in the problem, but there is nothing. I've checked with Betterbatterystats, wakelock detector...Deep Sleep mode just crash and never restart . And we are a several people in this case...

Quick question though: I do not have a data plan therefore my emails are not constantly syncing and such. I was wondering if there is an application that would make my wifi turn on at a set time and for a set length of time in order to fetch and sync and then turn off. This would be very useful especially in the morning right before I wake up so that when I first pick up my G1 in the morning the new emails have been synced.

I have added my hotmail account under the mail app standard on the sonyericsson x10, and the mail is comming through, but when I delete it on the web or laptop it does not delete it on phone neither does it update that I have read the email. It does sync but emails stay on phone. Any body have a fix or answer for me?
Also I have several folders in my hotmail account, the phone only displays Inbox, drafts, outbox, sent, trash. How do I get the rest of the folders on the phone?
Googled this issue and can't seem to find the resolution. I am using the Gmail app which came pre-installed on the phone. I have entered my account details, I can send emails but I don't get a notification when I receive an email to my Gmail Inbox. I have checked the settings and I have setup a ringtone and selected the option to flag up an icon in the notification bar. However the only way I know I have an email is if I open the app. I have a task manager and Gmail is on the ignore list.
