HTC EVO 4G :: Battery Tip Does Not Work Anymore?
Oct 26, 2010i was reading some articles about improving battery. one tip was to go to the dialer and do *#*#4636#*#* and wait and then it will take u to a screen where u go to phone info and hit menu and change the network from gsm to cdma. i tried this and when i entered the numbers into the dialer it didnt do anything. the thread was from june so does this not work anymore?

Nov 3, 2010My coworker has the Evo 4G, while i have the verizon droid x. It seems that his battery life drains really fast with the phone mostly at idle all day. I am pretty efficient on my X not really used to the HTC sense (last HTC phone i had was the Eris). Any tips to help him get better battery life? I normally get a day and a half, as much as two days between charges. Where he has to keep a charger at work?

Aug 24, 2010With the recent short battery life issues occuring since the OTA, my phone is lucky to make it a day with minimal use. I am taking a trip in about two weeks to vegas and plan on using my phone heavily there for pictures and what not, so I wanted to pick up a spare battery to take with me. VZW online store is sold out of the standard D1 batteries currently but has D2 in stock and it shows the same stock part number. However the D2, according to the description uses 1420maH where as the D1 uses 1400maH. This is greek to me. I remember reading a post recently where the extended battery for the D2 was working well with the D1 and I was just curious if anyone knows if the same will apply for the standard battery.

Jun 22, 2010I fully charged the phone over night and unplugged it at 10 am. 4hrs of pandora streaming (3hrs on 3G and 1hr on WiFi). 30 mins of web surfing, 30 mins playing with maps and checking traffic.
Downloaded 2 dozen games and apps. Finally got low battery warning around 9:30 pm. so 11.5 hrs of use. but i was sweating the last hour while coming back from work. It'd be nice if seido sells some extended 1750 MaH battery.

Jun 23, 2010My battery life was bad, but it was OK, but in the past few days my battery life is 10% per 30minutes(Just over 5 hours on a charge).I used to get 8-10 hours on a charge.I noticed last week that while it was charging the status of the battery was "Overheat".I think I somehow cooked the battery?I use TaskKiller and kill 95% of apps automatically, I have bluetooth,wireless,GPS disabled and the screen dimmed.I have not changed or installed any new apps.I have not changed the way I use the phone at all.My battery was dead, 0%, and it charged to 95% in about 45 minutes.Is this even possible?In fact in the past two days I have not gotten the charge above 95% at all.

Oct 15, 2010i just bought the official extended battery for the Droid x off of the verizon online store. the battery worked fine for the first day i bought it and now it makes my phone randomly shut off when i am using it. i can use my phone for about 5 - 10 minutes before the battery causes it to shut off randomly. i have no idea why it does this because it says the battery is fully charged and i had it in the charger over night and it still does this. i feel like i have wasted 50$ on this battery and i cant even use it now. does any one know if there is a way i can fix this?

From everything that I am reading I am really glad that I have waited. Anyway, I use AOL and gmail. How is it expected these email accounts will work with the Incredible? Will I get instant notification of a new email, will I have to set it up to check each account for a time frame I specify or will I manually have to open the email and check it? HTC Incredible :: 3d Games That Work On The Incredible
May 21, 2010Gameloft Gangstar: West Coast Hustle works well as a GTA clone. Menu is glitchy when driving but game works ok. Can run over pedestrians.
Gameloft Dungeon Hunter works well as a hack and slash dungeon game. This is the best working game right now.
Sandstorm however - nothing but grief. At least so far.
Tried Quake 1 on the phone but the controls are terrible and can't cheat so it sucked. Have not seen working doom or duke nukem ports.

Jul 1, 2010i have a droid eris,im thinking of getting an incredible.can somebody tell me if they have made the same switch and if the battery life is better, the same or worse to the eris. i realize this will very by user im hoping to find some eris users that switched. but if you have a incredible and want to tell me your opinion on the battery life, fine by me. i use mine on and off some phone calls,some texts, some emails and check facebook a couple times a day.some times more sometimes less. as long as i dont use my pandora radio i make it through the day before i need a charge, but i always charge at night.

It's always been buggy, ie a message comes in and it won't download the first time and normally I have to go into the messaging app for it to work right. But yesterday I sent an MMS and my friend didn't get it. I tried again with another person and same thing. Then today another friend sent me an MMS and I can't open it in Handcent or Messaging. I'm rooted with Virtuous Rom.PS - Now the message just says downloading on Handcent and on the Messages app and I can't cancel it to retry. Just sits there forever.

So I downloaded the APK and tried to install it, and the OS thinks it's there, but will permit neither launching nor uninstalling. I'm sure there might be other info needed, but I would greatly appreciate if someone might have some thoughts about how to resolve this.
