HTC Desire :: Does Seido 3200mah Battery Work On Phone?
Jun 19, 2010
I love the phone, its amazing. and it's one and only flaw really is the battery life. I struggle to get through a day with quite a few power saving things on it but anyway, would this battery designed for the nexus one work for the desire? Seidio 3200 mAh Extended Battery for Google Nexus One on eBay (end time 08-Jul-10 17:05:29 BST) the only reason i'm so sceptical is because it would involve a new case and I'm not sure if a case designed for nexus one would fit the desire. it not, are there any other batteries or really small portable chargers for the desire?

OK this might not get answered I was wondering anyone here that has the big ol'extended battery from seido also has maybe a touch pro holster from seido and was wondering if they would fit together?

Just wondering How the FM Radio in desire works. Is it like in other phones where you have to use the headset for the radio to work? And another question to those that might have tried, how long would the battery last when using FM radio?

HTC desire users. I often charge my phone rather frequently like once it twice a day. Sometimes I charge even when the battery is only half full as I am going out. Will this spoil the battery or phone? (If I charge when the battery have not been all used up).I heard from people that it might spoil the phone if I charge in this manner frequently.

My mom has a car charger for her old Motorola Razr and it uses the same mini-USB plug that our phone uses. I was wondering if this would work in charging my Eris or will it just destroy the battery?

Well it's really a simple question. I thought why not? But wasn't able to find any DAB apps in the Market, so perhaps it's not possible?

Just installed Chrome to Phone and although its a great feature in 2.2 it is a bit hit and miss. out of about 10 websites i tested to send to my phone 2 were successful, and sending a goggle e maps page to open maps on the phone didn't work at all.

OK let me clarify, it does work, but only if I am actively using the phone. If I set my alarm then hit the power button to turn the screen off, or even just allow the screen to timeout and turn off, then the alarm fails to go off. This is REALLY annoying as it renders the entire alarm feature completely useless.

Installed the Snesoid and GameBoid on it but they are not working. I open up either application with a message 'No ROM loaded. Press Menu for more options.' I put my games in a folder called Roms. When I select the folder to load a game, it recognises that the games are on there but as soon as I choose a game it loads for a couple of seconds then the whole application closes returning me to my home screen on my phone. What's up with that? I want to play Mario Kart dammit! P.S Is there any way to stop the phone's time syncing with my PC time. It's doing my head in!

I have had my phone freeze up a few times now. I might be running a lot with my live wall paper but it seems to be happening a lot lately. Is pulling the battery bad for your phone or should I just wait the few min till it reboots ? And one more question will the phone always reboot it self ?

Lately I've had a problem with the Battery in my Desire. When I charge it, the fist 10-20-30% of my battery just drains in no time. Like this morning, it was fully charged when i left home, and i have around 15 minutes to work. The phone was just laying there while i drove, and when I got here it was already down to 94%.I looked through my calendar, and then it was down to about 90%.It's been an hour since then, I've only used it for a few texts, and now I'm down to 79% battery left. With the kind of use I've had today, my phone would normally be around 98% at this point. There should be nothing running in the background, and no other syncing than a bare minimum.Spare parts tells me there's been basically no use.Trafficstats doesn't show any unusual traffic. It's like the battery is just draining itself for no reason.Been like this for over a week now.Any ideas to what I should do?

IF i want to turn the phone off it will go to shutting down and continue to do this for hours the only way to sort this is to remove the battery, is there a fix or is anyone else having this problem ? this hard core shut down cannot be doing the phone any good.

I am running neophyte 1.6 ROM and everything was going fine, however, now when I charge my phone, the phone registers at full battery when it is at 95%. Sometimes it'll say 100%, but then it just jumps back down to 95%. What do I do? Is my battery screwed?

I have had my Desire for about 3 week snow. I absolutely loved it at first but am becoming increasingly frustrated. Main problem is the battery needs charging so often. I have done all the things suggested, dimmed lights, changed wall paper, turned off internet etc., but after playing a few games and making a couple of calls back to the charger it goes.
Now, today I went to send an sms and it says phone is full and won't let me send a text.! What's with that? 3 weeks old and it's full? I'm in shock. I have deleted as many msgs as I can and deleted some apps I don't use but still I can't send a text or open one. I really don't know what I can delete and now think this is going to be an eternal problem. This phone has turned from a huge delight to a huge disappointment for me and I haven't even paid my first bill.

I've had an HTC Desire on Orange in the UK for about 6 weeks and it is having persistent problem. Firstly despite having a strong 4-bar out of 4 signal, online services and the internet do not work at all when a 3G signal is being received (e.g. news, weather, all widgets, internet, email etc).Calls and texts do work however with a 3G signal. But when a 3g+ signal (HSDPA) is being received, all internet services as above work fine. However, when a 3+ signal is being received, the phone does not make or receive calls or text messages, and often fails to send texts. Calls I make immediately shut down (bleep + call ended), and incoming calls from other people go straight to answerphone. Also often when turning the data connection on/off, it freezes and has to be rebooted, and turning airplane setting on and off does not fix the problem.
I have also tried the different network settings (GSM, WCDMA, auto, etc). GSM sends and receives calls and texts but doesnt work (or is incredibly slow) with internet, and auto and WCDMA only show the problems as above.I don't think this is a network/coverage issues as, as I have seen many people reporting these same issues on other networks and in other parts of the UK, and I have read that other people are having to manually turn off HSDPA to be able to make calls (using an app?). Even if I can stop HSDPA from connecting to make sure the phone works, I still cant use the internet at all on 3g even GSM works better!
Finally, when I connect to a bluetooth device (e.g. car and headphones) the phone will connect briefly, and then randomly disconnect. I have also seen this issue reported elsewhere.I very much like the phone and don't want to get rid of it, but these problems are making the phone unuseable. Also I don't know if I should be contacting HTC or Orange about this. Will the upcoming Android 2.2 fix these problems?Anyone know how to fix this or if I need a new handset? Are there any apps that can help? Also does the Nexus One have these problems and are they fixed by Froyo?

I am currently trying to track one down from t-mobile as there has been many shortages lately but, anyway i was told this was because of the screens being changed to SLCD ones from sony. I know that sony do quality products and that but, will there be much difference e.g battery life wise, representing color etc. compared to the AMOLED screens.
