Anybody having this issue on handcent or stock text/email? it just started within the past day. my phone will no longer vibrate when i get texts or emails. sound works just fine. All the notifications are set to vibrate when phone is on vibrate mode. i even set it to vibrate always, and it still will not vibrate at all. if i get a call however, the phone vibrates just fine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI despise any form of audible notification on phones and so generally have it on vibrate for 99% of the time. However, I find the Incredible's vibrate notification for text messages a joke: two quick spurts and no recurring vibrating. Is there any way to perhaps change the text notification to be like a phone call (instead just be two bursts of it) and even make it recurring? Stock options are unbelievably bare and I haven't found any apps that change the vibrate profile.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've gone into messaging settings and set vibrate to on and it is not vibrating on incoming messages. The phone vibrates on incoming calls so the actual vibrating mechanism works. Any ideas on what could be going wrong?

It is the same on incoming calls. The vibrate works if I turn the ringer off and go to vibrate mode, but it won't work with the ringer.

Is there a way, or an app, that would allow you to assign different notifications to emails vs texts vs missed calls?
Also, does anyone know if there's a way to set the phone to re-notify you periodically if you have a notification that has not been looked at? I tend to leave my phone sitting on my desk at work and would like it to let me know if I missed a call or text while I was away from my desk.
Ideally I'd like to silence email notifications, but have text and missed call notifications with unique ring tones for each, and I'd like the phone to renotify me every 10 minutes or so if I have a text or missed call waiting for me.
I've changed the settings on the main settings and messaging settings several times, taken out the battery, reset the phone..It will vibrate for incoming calls, but not for texts.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAs the title says really, I cannot get my Hero to vibrate when I get a text message. In Messages > Settings > Vibrate, the option is ticked but even if I untick / restart / retick it still doesn't work. I've also tried pressing the volume button down to vibrate mode and back again but that makes no difference.I've even tried working with Handcent and yet I still cannot get the vibrate working. Everything else works such as the status bar notification but that's it.The vibrate part is definitely working for phone calls and other apps so I don't think that it's a hardware problem. Any idea what could be causing it? I'm using the latest official UK Orange ROM.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure when this started happening or if it ever even worked, but my vibrate notifications do not work for text messages or email (i'm using K-9). I've gone through EVERY possible setting, in the messaging app, in K-9, and the standard phone settings, to ensure that Vibrate Notification is indeed on, and yet it does not work. It doesn't matter if my phone is on Vibrate Mode, Silent Mode, or Normal Mode, no vibration notifications.
I've tried restarting the phone, nothing works.
My Haptic Feedback works perfectly.
I was on 2.1 stock, did the leaked ota and then the 2.2 leak. Everything is working great but I've noticed vibrate is not working for notifications. It seems to work for hepatic feedback and on calls BUT apps like gmail/messages/chompsms/others don't vibrate at all even if it's enabled. What the hell do I do? Any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedPhone will not vibrate when I receive emails, SMS, or gTalk messages if I put it in Vibrate Only mode. Phone calls do vibrate. In settings for each of those apps, I have a check mark in the Vibrate box. My Vibrate mode *used* to work, but when I uninstalled Quick Profiles it seems to have killed vibrations for everything except phone calls.

View 14 Replies View RelatedOK, so I switched to droid from my windows mobile device and I quickly realized there is no option to silence your phone according events on the calendar. I had this on my windows mobile phone and I really miss it, so I found an app called Vibrate During Meetings (Vibrate During Meetings Widget (v. 1.0) applicate�n en el Android Market - AndroidZoom.com) which supposedly works for the Droid according to the comments on the app in the market; however I bought this app and it installed, but the open button is blanked out so I can't open can't run it for some reason. I would really like to get this app to work, but I don't know why it won't open.
I Have tired uninstalling and reinstalling, turning the phone off and back on, but I still can't open it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why I can't get this app to open. The developers website is terrible and doesn't even give any info on this app, so I emailed the developer and I'm waiting to hear back, but haven't heard back yet.
Having an odd problem here. I'm aware of Verizon's limit on text messaging characters but this is odd.I can send texts going beyond 160 characters but when I receive them, that's when the trouble starts. I'll get the text broken up into 2-3 separate texts, but always followed up by another message stating "Media Objects were removed...". Then, the person sending the text receives a message stating their text may have not been received. This is all between Verizon to Verizon customers.Anyone know what's going on? or how to fix it? Did not have this problem with other Verizon phones so I'm guessing it's only applying to the Droid/Eris?

I use Hand Cent as my default messenger, but I've tried sending them from both applications and neither of them are working.....any ideas?

Links don't work and text is not selectable on many emails, including emails from this site.
The fact that links don't work render the app pretty much useless as an email client!
All I want to do is create a simple "vibrate" profile that turns phone calls and text messages to vibrate. I have the call part but the messages just come in silently with no vibrate. I have the following in the task:
1) Vibrate on Notify: On
2) Vibrate on Ringer: On
3) Silent Mode: Vibrate
My phone when in vibrate mode doesnt vibrate when i receive a text, but does if i receive a call, all settings are as they should be for it to vibrate....
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X with the OTA 2.2 rooted and when I put the phone in Vibrate the phone will not vibrate at all not for phone calls, text, or email? I have "MINI INFO WIDGET" and when I go in there to adjust the volume to vibrate it will work but then when I try to go back to Sound Profile I have to manually adjust the sound again? I have Vibrate Widget and when that is selected it goes to silent only. I tried Uninstalling MINI INFO and VIBRATE WIDGET but I still have the same result sooo it can't be the programs.
