View 2 RepliesSo I use the task killer...and at the moment say when I kill tasks it'll tell me there is about 200M avaliable memory free...if I use the phone for a day it'll maybe go down to 150M even if I am still killing apps and there is nothing in 'running services'. If i turn off the phone and turn it back on it goes up to 250M. What is running that I can't stop myself to make it go down from the 250M but that I can just eliminate by turning off the phone?

Even when I have the widget activated for 4G there are many times it doesn't come in at all in a prime 4G area. When I turn my phone off and back on it starts to work again. What gives?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought an HTC First a few weeks ago ( I think lol) and love it so far. So earlier today at school I was on my phone, and nothing was wrong. I put it in my pocket and about 20 minutes later I pulled it back out and it was dead. Odd, because it was almost full before. So I thought, whatever I'll charge it at home. So after school I put it on charge and the red light wasn't blinking. I gave it around 30 minutes and still nothing. It's been a few hours and still, it isn't charging or turning on. I tried holding power/vol+/vol- for more than 2 minutes. I have warranty but HTC said if I send it in I'll be forced to pay to replace the screen too, which has a TINY crack on the corner .
View 5 Replies View RelatedOnly thing I can think of that I miss on my storm. When turning it off, it would alert you it would be turning back on at your alarm time to wake you and would do exactly that. Stock app doesn't do that. I've searched and gone through market apps descriptions looking for this function. At the least I want the alarm to go off when the phones turned off. I don't need it to notify me when its turning on, when its shutting down.
View 4 Replies View RelatedFor a few weeks, my phone has been shutting itself off randomly for no apparent reason. I remove the battery, pop it back in, and it powers up normally. It's off now, I've removed the battery (for about 10 - 15 seconds) and it still won't turn back on.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of an RSS feed which can show more than one type of feed in the widget. The standard HTC one only shows results from one feed in the widget and you have to click it to get to more stories. I want to display a few feeds i.e BBC sport and normal news in the widget at the same time. Any Ideas?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I rooted the evo 4g and it was working fine for a while, but when I took it out of my pocket suddenly the screen was off and it would not turn back on. It's been charging for hours now so I know it has battery. When I plug in the USB cable, I hear the little bell that means USB debugging is turned on but there is nothing on the screen. Any idea what I can do to fix it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm a former Palm Pre user who recently purchased a Sprint Evo. Although I miss the hard keyboard, I'm learning to use swype. I have a newbie question. Is there anyway to turn the screen back on, once it has turned off, other than pressing the on button. On my Pre, all I had to do was slide the keyboard to turn the screen back on. The Evo's power button is difficult to press, especially using the phone with one hand. Looking forward to any answers. Maybe there is a program that will turn the screen back on when I shake the phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedA few times a day my Evo will shut off randomly and turn right back on. Does anyone else have this happening to them?
View 9 Replies View RelatedFirst off my browser won't let me click certain buttons after a few hours of the phone being on. Not a big deal but when I shut the phone off it won't turn back on unless I do a battery pull. This happens 2-3 times a day so can get annoying. I'm about to get a case though and don't want to keep taking it off and on and risk messing up the fit or scratching it. Does anyone know of a program that shuts the phone off like a battery pull?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am a new Eris user and so far I love it except for a few problems. One being when I am talking on the phone and I need to hit a button how do I get my screen to turn back on? Sometimes its like the phone knows it needs to turn back on and other times I fight with it. Also the battery life is killing me but I do use it alot.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just traded my Palm Pre for a Samsung Moment today (made the deal off of Craigs List). The phone worked great all afternoon after I got it but 30 minutes ago I pulled it out to enter something into my calendar and it was off. I tried to turn it on but it seems dead. The battery has at least 40% remaining last time I looked and it is charging right now just in case. Anybody else have this happen? Is there some special way to turn this on that I don't know about? I held down the hang up button to turn it on and it is not working.Any ideas? (The Sprint rep at the store where I swapped with the other person said the warranty sticks to where ever the ESID is active - meaning on my account so I do have the warranty for it).
View 13 Replies View RelatedI can attest to the fact that this works. It even brings the little red x's back. Looks like new. I just tried it on my wife's LG Env3. She washed it a few months back and both stickers (on the battery and the phone) were completely red. Did the rice/oven trick and all was well, no problems whatsoever. Well lately she's been having some battery problems ,her phone has been shutting off randomly at times as if the battery is loosing connection with the phone. No corrosion issues from the wash, I honestly think this issue is unrelated. Well, it turns out that there was a problem with the Env3's battery/connection design and the Verizon rep. was happy to send her out a replacement phone right away. He said a lot of folks had this problem with the Env3. So, then I start thinking, what about those stickers and found this online:Turn Your Cell Phone's "I Got Wet" Indicator from Red back to White

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I have issue with my phone, no one can hear me on phone calls. Unfortunately I need to return the phone to stock so I can take it into the store for warranty. So if I just run the 2.1 official, will that take care of it? Or should I use some other method to do it. Also, I see the update is an EXE, is that gonna give me troubles since I have a linux PC?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn order to conserve battery life, I am in the habit of turning off my mobile network whenever I'm not using it. At home, I have mobile network off, and wi-fi enabled. Over the past several days, I notice that when I try to toggle mobile network to on, it doesn't work. After going in to settings, for mobile network, it says Turning on... After restarting my phone, mobile network always turn on successfully.
View 19 Replies View RelatedThis has probably been asked before, but I can't find the answer, so I'll post it again. Sorry, if it has. I tried out chompsms recently, but I just didn't like the way it working compared to the regular messaging system. My friend somehow turned off the notifications for the built in messaging system, so now that I've uninstalled chomp, I don't know when I get messages. I can't figure out how to turn it back on. I've looked all through the settings.
