I would like to know if it is possible to swap the top and bottom pull out menus?
Also, if the phone is shut down will the alarm turn it back on?

Had a problem with my alarm clock this morning. It went off @ one of the alarm times I have (although I could swear it wasn't checked to be on for today). But then I could not shut it off. Tried hitting nearly ever button both physical and virtual and the damned alarm wouldn't stop. I eventually just shut it off and turned it back on and that did the trick. Did I miss a step in how to turn alarm off?
View 4 Replies View RelatedFor a few weeks, my phone has been shutting itself off randomly for no apparent reason. I remove the battery, pop it back in, and it powers up normally. It's off now, I've removed the battery (for about 10 - 15 seconds) and it still won't turn back on.

When turning it off, it would alert you it would be turning back on at your alarm time to wake you and would do exactly that. Stock app doesn't do that. I've searched and gone through market apps descriptions looking for this function. At the least I want the alarm to go off when the phones turned off. I don't need it to notify me when its turning on, when its shutting down.

Not a big deal but when I shut the phone off it won't turn back on unless I do a battery pull. This happens 2-3 times a day so can get annoying. I'm about to get a case though and don't want to keep taking it off and on and risk messing up the fit or scratching it. Does anyone know of a program that shuts the phone off like a battery pull?

The phone worked great all afternoon after I got it but 30 minutes ago I pulled it out to enter something into my calendar and it was off. I tried to turn it on but it seems dead.The battery has at least 40% remaining last time I looked and it is charging right now just in case. Anybody else have this happen? Is there some special way to turn this on that I don't know about? I held down the hang up button to turn it on and it is not working.Any ideas? (The Sprint rep at the store where I swapped with the other person said the warranty sticks to where ever the ESID is active - meaning on my account so I do have the warranty for it).
View 13 Replies View RelatedI am not sure how this is happening, however, my customer ringtone frequently changes to some other short stock ringtone. I discovered that if I shut the Inc off and turn it back on, my custom ringtone returns.
Anybody know what is causing this and how it can be stopped?
I have the HTC Incredible. Is there anyway to have the phone back out of the menus and go to the homepage? I don't like that when I click the internet or contacts it is in the same spot that I left it the last time I went there. Or if I am looking at something it doesn't go back to the homepage once it goes into sleepmode

Basically I use my phone as an alarm to get up for work. My old Nokia N96 I could set the alarm and then switch the phone off at night and the alarm would still go off on time. This does not seem to be the case with the X10i. It doesn't even go off when the phones in airplane mode which is poor. I just don't want to have to leave my phone on overnight in case it rings and i wake up.
Are there any good alarm apps that allows you to turn the phone off and the alarm would still ring at 6.30 for work?
Is it normal to have the bottom back get somewhat hot while using for an extended period of time?

This helps save battery life and keep from waking you up in case you get an email or text in the middle of the night. Is there any way the Eris has something comparable? View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I use the task killer...and at the moment say when I kill tasks it'll tell me there is about 200M avaliable memory free...if I use the phone for a day it'll maybe go down to 150M even if I am still killing apps and there is nothing in 'running services'. If i turn off the phone and turn it back on it goes up to 250M. What is running that I can't stop myself to make it go down from the 250M but that I can just eliminate by turning off the phone?

I have a "Ringtones" folder on my SD with my own, but the ROMs carry theirs internally and once you change ROMs, so do the ringtones. I haven't looked yet, but would they possibly be in the ROM zip file and could I just pull them out of the zip to my computer? I guess I will look now, but let me know if this is the right way or if something else works better. Ultimately I would like to pull off all system ringtones so I can condense to my own and ones I have selected. It's overwhelming sometimes given that I don't and won't ever use 70% of the stock tones.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAre any of you having trouble with this? The sensor doesn't seem to be working the way it should. I have a problem accessing the keyboard during calls to automated services and sometimes the screen won't stay lit long enough for me to end my calls.
Aside from that, my Droid keeps freezing up today. I haven't had any trouble with that before. I've got a week to go before I pass my 30 day trial. I'm not sure what to do. This phone has to be mailed in as I got it online. If there's a way to fix these problems, I'd rather not send it in and wait 3 weeks to receive a new one.
I tried several alarm clocks on my droid, and they all seem to have a problem. if I set alarms for 6:30, 6:41, and 6:52 am. Each with a different sound. If i snooze alarm 1, alarm 2/3 never goes off. i thought all 3 would be seperate, but it seems only 1 can be active at a time. unless im doing something wrong. this happens on the default alarm clock and, better alarm clock.

Recently i installed the latest launcher pro and now my brightness will not save. everytime phone is shut off it reverts to 0 brightness. same thing happens when taken off the charger, it reverts to 0 brightness. can someone help? is this a launcher pro problem or what?

I tried out chompsms recently, but I just didn't like the way it working compared to the regular messaging system. My friend somehow turned off the notifications for the built in messaging system, so now that I've uninstalled chomp, I don't know when I get messages. I can't figure out how to turn it back on. I've looked all through the settings.

I was wondering if it is possible to set an alarm and turn the phone off. Then when it is time for the alarm to go off, the phone turns on and everything is good again. I've had this function with a lot of my older phones, but I can't seem to find hte option with my Captivate. I'm pretty sure it doesn't do it automatically because I just tried it, making an alarm for 2 minutes later, turning off the phone and waiting.

Well when I got home, I attempted to re-enable my 3g internet and it won't connect, even the 3g icon is not in the status bar.My Droid is with Page Plus if that helps.Can someone please help me out with this. View 25 Replies View RelatedAnyone else running into this issue? The alarm goes off on time but pressing snooze or trying to shut it off is ineffective. Even frantically mashing the side buttons and hot keys doesn't stop it. Honestly, I don't even know how I eventually get it to shut off, but I do.
This is not a pleasant way to wake up.
