HTC Droid Eris :: Clock Bar Blocking Lock Screen Wallpaper
Apr 6, 2010Perhaps this has been addressed previously, but i haven't found an answer yet. every picture i put up on my lockscreen wallpaper gets cut off by that stupid lock bar with the clock on it. does anyone know how to make that go away or transparent at least? it is driving me crazy and i haven't "found an app for that" yet.

Sep 16, 2010I have been reading through the manual for the Desire and it states that you can have a different lock screen wallpaper to the wallpaper when the screen has been unlocked.
However, I can't seem to manage this at all.
Does anyonw know if this is possible or if it is an error in the HTC manual?
The reason being I would like to have a nice bright lock screen image but a normal black background for when apps and widgets are all over it.

Sep 13, 2010Been working my way through all the settings on my phone since rooting my Eris with KaosFroyo. Loving everything but a few minor glitches.
1. QuickProfiles does and FC when you try to edit a profile to change any of the Volume settings.
2. I would like an aquarium live wallpaper. None seem to work, even the smoke wallpaper included in the image. I have seen comments by Kaos that the LWP must be sized for Eris, but I see no way to check that. Particularly frustrating is that the preview works great.
3. I miss my default Eris digital clock and weather widget. Is there a separate install for that?

Jul 27, 2010Tried to search for this one but the search terms I used didn't seem to find worthwhile results. I'm creating an application to run on a device with a 800x480 resolution (the archos 5) so I've created an AVD in the emulator with that resolution. However, when I run my program in the emulator it simply shows the program with the default android size, centered in the 800x480 window. It is not stretched to cover the whole screen. How can I fix this? I'm using Android 2.1.

Nov 20, 2010I really want to take screenshots of my desire to show you all, but i cant get it to work on my desire. When i open the sdk ddms tool my desire doesnt show on the list, I have followed the guide found on page 1 in the "show us your desire screen" thread, but there seems to be a problem: I installed all the software including the usb-driver package for the sdk-software. I checked the "usb-debugging" on the desire.
So I read that maybe i should update the device from the Windows devicemanager. First of, my desire doesnt show, it shows only a "ADB" - is that my desire? I tried upgrading the driver on the ADB, but even if i browse to the USB-folder in sdk it says "no driver found".

Oct 30, 2013So I ordered now LG G2 32GB (950USD in Israel, I know its expensive but well... thats what it is and I wanted a device with large screen, powerfull multi tasking and something that I wont have to replace in 1 year but at least in 2 years, super power little computer for all my internet, emails, mult tasking, office things...), I could choose Z Ultra, S4, Optimus G Pro but took G2 as most people online voted for this one and I heard them plus I liked the way this device looks from all photos I watched and I liked it's longer life per each charge versus others (from reviews i was reading).
Now something I feel bothered with, I see on youtube that this soft menu buttons stays even in games, pretty much anywhere.Removing the on-screen menu buttons possibly also not the brightest idea, how I will navigate then? Any tweak would allow me to use Android in same way I use Iphone, by turn the "power" button that short click works as "home button" and remove the soft on screen menu.

Aug 23, 2010Now the new season has properly started I really want a good app that tracks scores properly so I thought we could all discuss the ones on offer. I use 'Soccer Score Centre lite' at the moment but I'm not happy with it - as I can't figure out how to track games taking place (apart my 'my club') and it doesn't lock the screen so my screensaver comes on and then it doesn't refresh properly. I know fotmob is a popular app as well - could I seek people's views on that? I'm after an app that shows you all the live games (and when clicking on them you can find out the scorers, the yellow / red cards and so on) and for it to show you the upcoming fixtures as well.I'm a championship support - not EPL - so it needs to cover all leagues. Surely that is not too much to ask? I know there have been a few threads on this already - but not since this season has started and frankly the ones on offer appear crap

Feb 22, 2010I have my screen timeout set to 30 seconds but now it doesn't seem to want to turn off like it should even when the phone is sitting still. I also turned off the email notifications so I wouldn't hear the sound in the middle of the night and it still plays the sound.Are these things that need a reboot before they take effect or might there be an actual problem with the phone?

Jul 23, 2010When one wants to publish his App on the Android Market he can upload up to two screenshots of his app. I would like to take these screenshots with my current device (Motorola Droid) that I'm using to test the application.
There are some Apps on the Android Market that allow you to take screenshots, but you have to root your phone, which I dont want to. There are related topics within stackoverflow where people want to take screenshots out of there code (here). However I just want to take screenshots of my running app with the current device, which is connected via USB to my computer; I'm developing via Eclipse, so there should be a way to tell your running device that it should take a screenshot via the sdk, right?
