When I activate my phone i have the facebook "you are not logged in" dialog taking up about 1/3 of my screen. I don't even use facebook. If I click it changes to the login. I can't drag it anywhere. if i could at least minimize it to the normal size i could live with it.

Had my Hero for a few weeks now and overall loving it. Its Orange branded and updated to the latest ROM. Lately I've started to face this problem where Facebook (from Social Networks), keeps getting logged out every other second or so. Most of the times it just won't log-in with a 'Service not available, try again' sort of message. Also if I try to log in from the Contact, it behaves the same way.On the other hand, the Facebook widget and app are connected and working fine. This is really upsetting since I have many contacts on Facebook and having their pictures showing in the Contacts was a pretty handy feature for me.I've already reset it once, but to no avail. My Twitter and Flickr accounts remained signed in, whereas Facebook just doesn't. I've also tried signing in on an alternative Facebook account to isolate the issue, but the result was the same.Would love to hear from folks facing the same thing and what they did to resolve it. I've also put in a message with HTC.

I am trying to run example of facebook android sdk , in that i have run stream example to fetch the

I am using facebook sdk and with the help of example given with that SDK i developed a code to login and store access_token into database
i have 2 problems:
1). when i try to fetch access_token from database and pass it to facebook it doesn't allow me to post on wall using that example given with that facebook sdk, why is that so??
2). i gone through that facebook.java code, but what i got is that to post on a wall i got to open a dialogue box as there is no other method to pass my message straight away and post. Please tell me solution towards it or tel me wat should i do when i want to post on a wall without opening a dialogue box

just a minor inconvenience: I used to have my phone set to sync with google, which alerted me every time I received an email. I then found out that google sync was causing an issue with my contact pictures, taking them from facebook and resizing them. it caused them to looked pixelated or "zoomed in" in hilli billy terms. So now I have it set to never sync with google. So now I never receive a notification when I receive an email. Anyone know a way I can set it to sync only to gmail and not sync the contacts? I don't really need to sync them anyway, as I have backup assistant for that purpose.

I'm creating an application to run on a device with a 800x480 resolution (the archos 5) so I've created an AVD in the emulator with that resolution. However, when I run my program in the emulator it simply shows the program with the default android size, centered in the 800x480 window. It is not stretched to cover the whole screen. How can I fix this? I'm using Android 2.1.

I use 'Soccer Score Centre lite' at the moment but I'm not happy with it - as I can't figure out how to track games taking place (apart my 'my club') and it doesn't lock the screen so my screensaver comes on and then it doesn't refresh properly. I know fotmob is a popular app as well - could I seek people's views on that? I'm after an app that shows you all the live games (and when clicking on them you can find out the scorers, the yellow / red cards and so on) and for it to show you the upcoming fixtures as well.I'm a championship support - not EPL - so it needs to cover all leagues. View 1 Replies View RelatedI really want to take screenshots of my desire to show you all, but i cant get it to work on my desire. When i open the sdk ddms tool my desire doesnt show on the list, I have followed the guide found on page 1 in the "show us your desire screen" thread, but there seems to be a problem: I installed all the software including the usb-driver package for the sdk-software. I checked the "usb-debugging" on the desire.
So I read that maybe i should update the device from the Windows devicemanager. First of, my desire doesnt show, it shows only a "ADB" - is that my desire? I tried upgrading the driver on the ADB, but even if i browse to the USB-folder in sdk it says "no driver found".
So I ordered now LG G2 32GB (950USD in Israel, I know its expensive but well... thats what it is and I wanted a device with large screen, powerfull multi tasking and something that I wont have to replace in 1 year but at least in 2 years, super power little computer for all my internet, emails, mult tasking, office things...), I could choose Z Ultra, S4, Optimus G Pro but took G2 as most people online voted for this one and I heard them plus I liked the way this device looks from all photos I watched and I liked it's longer life per each charge versus others (from reviews i was reading).
Now something I feel bothered with, I see on youtube that this soft menu buttons stays even in games, pretty much anywhere.Removing the on-screen menu buttons possibly also not the brightest idea, how I will navigate then? Any tweak would allow me to use Android in same way I use Iphone, by turn the "power" button that short click works as "home button" and remove the soft on screen menu.

My dialog shows a relativelayout, which is set to fill_parent in both width and height. However, it doesn't fill the whole screen. I tried settting the window flags to full screen but that didn't help either. Can someone tell me how to do this?

I also turned off the email notifications so I wouldn't hear the sound in the middle of the night and it still plays the sound.Are these things that need a reboot before they take effect or might there be an actual problem with the phone?

When one wants to publish his App on the Android Market he can upload up to two screenshots of his app. I would like to take these screenshots with my current device (Motorola Droid) that I'm using to test the application.
There are some Apps on the Android Market that allow you to take screenshots, but you have to root your phone, which I dont want to. There are related topics within stackoverflow where people want to take screenshots out of there code (here). However I just want to take screenshots of my running app with the current device, which is connected via USB to my computer; I'm developing via Eclipse, so there should be a way to tell your running device that it should take a screenshot via the sdk, right?
