Just click a button and it takes a pic? I haven't taken the plunge to root, and not sure if I will and the instructions for screen shot on Droid are basically chinese to me because I have no skill when it comes to this sorta thing.I just want an app that will take a screenshot without root.People like me would pay for an app like this. When I look at them after they're uploaded, i can clearly see ugly JPEG-compression artifacts.Is there a way to make sure that the quality of the images stored on Android Market's servers is better?

Nov 20, 2010I really want to take screenshots of my desire to show you all, but i cant get it to work on my desire. When i open the sdk ddms tool my desire doesnt show on the list, I have followed the guide found on page 1 in the "show us your desire screen" thread, but there seems to be a problem: I installed all the software including the usb-driver package for the sdk-software. I checked the "usb-debugging" on the desire.
So I read that maybe i should update the device from the Windows devicemanager. First of, my desire doesnt show, it shows only a "ADB" - is that my desire? I tried upgrading the driver on the ADB, but even if i browse to the USB-folder in sdk it says "no driver found".

Mar 23, 2010It seems like everyone uses a home screen clock of some sorts, so I figured I was missing out. I tried a few, but can't get over how much screen real estate you lose! What's the point of losing 4 icons just to see the time, which is plainly displayed on the top of the screen already??? I have the stock Moto power bar up there, which is very helpful, but it takes up 4 spots too. Am I missing something, or do people just need to have the clock that big in their face all the time? BTW, I went from a Palm OS Tore to a Win Mo Treo (and i Pod touch) and then finally got the Droid back in January and I couldn't be happier!! Android is everything I thought it would be and then some.

Sep 12, 2010I am new here and I came from Symbian and Linux, for all the phones I've used there are at least one application for screen capture and one for time clock synchronization, both are very useful and basic task we will do with a smartphone, but on the Android I found none that can work without a 'rooted' phone. I don't know how other phones do it, but I know the reason for a 'rooted' phone is to be able to access the framebuffer for screen capture for example and this may be risky, I suppose it is simply a sub-routine call to the BIOS will do without the need for a complete 'open access' system. I know there is a way to capture the screen without a rooted phone, but the phone must be connected to a PC and I feel this is dumb and inconvenient, I may be completely wrong about Android, please fill me in.
