I just downloaded swype but it doesn't auto space like the instructional videos show. Is that a setting I need to change or does it not auto space on droid? I have auto space on but it doesn't work.

Just got swype the other day and loving it. The only thing I don't know what to do is have it auto space after a period. Having to hit space is very annoying

If I ever decide to cancel typing (say I have text input open and the Swype keyboard is covering the bottom half of my screen) the keyboard stays open and I have to tap home again for it to disappear. Are there any workarounds for this or is it simply because its beta? I noticed that even if I revert back to the default Sense keyboard it does the same thing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince I updated to Froyo when the official one was released for the UK my Gallery has been almost useless, it now sorts photos based on where they were taken which I don't want and it doesn't show any new photos/videos I take, possibly because the phone saves them to the external SD card now instead of the internal one. Is there anyway to fix this? I've looked everywhere for some gallery settings but I can't find anything, to change the sorting etc.. Or can anyone recommend a half decent gallery app? I just want something that shows the recent photos I've taken...

I have done a search on this site and a few others in the hope of finding out a problem I have with SWYPE on my DHD.
I have auto spacing selected but when typing a sms using SWYPE, no spaces are automatically placed in between words. However when I use the SWYPE keyboard for entering in a calendar entry, spaces are automatically defaulted between words.
The version i am using is 2.4.44.10912 (has English language) and there appears to be a red circle on the space button for the message SWYPE keyboard but the red circle is not present on keyboard when I am entering in a calendar item.
I have uninstalled SWYPE and re-installed, but the issue is still present. Any ideas?
How can you make it so that when I choose a word from the suggestion line it auto spaces for me?

View 3 Replies View RelatedLooks like someone made videos for other phones but it would be really really awesome to see someone make a video showing the steps to root a droid and then install nandroid, then the rom or whatever -- basically all the steps to awesomeness.I would do it myself but I am really bad at comprehending written instructions. I do much much better watching someone do it. Some of the instructions here are very thorough and yet still lack a certain something that would make me feel confident enough to try the steps.Can someone do this? I would put it up on my site if they needed me to.

Whenever I input an 'a' the first option on auto complete is ' asw@armysurpluswarehouse.com' which is apparently from one of my google contacts. Since the web address has a period in it I am unable to select the entire thing at once by double tapping so that I can tell swype to take the word out of the dictionary it uses.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I used to use Swype on xtrROM 3.0.3 and it worked fine. After switching to 4.0.6.1, the swiping action doesn't produce any text but tapping the letters does. I've been all over the Swype forum and see a lot of complaints that Swype has the same problem on Froyo. Any ideas? At least I still was able to find SahpeWriter but it isn't as smooth as Swype was.

I made it as a default input option.
Yet, when I open anything that requires a text input, the swype icon does not show up on the keyboard as it did on 1.5.
In onbe word swype does not swype for me.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI commute to school underground with no service for roughly 1.5 hours. During that time, I like to watch youtube videos. Besides TubeMate, is there any Android app (or any method on Android) to download youtube videos AUTOMATICALLY? I want to have the videos download while I sleep so it is available to me when I wake up and get ready. Right now I manually download some videos using TubeMate (when I remember).
I did have another setup using "youtube-dl" program on linux and setting up a cron job to download the latest video from a channel. I would then upload this to dropbox and then redownload it on my Android using FolderSync app.
Any better way to auto download new videos from youtube channels. I have a Galaxy S3.
I can't see the titles of videos in the gallery. This makes it hard to find my kids' movies on there when they want to watch something. Is there a way to have the videos listed as a text list in addition to the thumbnail views on the Incredible.
