Oct 2, 2010I have baked snack and htc sense keeps freezing it says force close htc sense and i do that but then it starts loading and it says force close or wait. how do i fix it.

HTC EVO 4G :: Phone Keeps Rebooting And Freezing
Aug 31, 2010Since we got the phones mine has been fine and my wife has had nothing but trouble. Her phone reboots all the time and freezes. We finally went to the Sprint store Friday and they determined hers was bad and sent her a new(refurb). We received it last night. We activate the new one and this one is worse. She has had it reboot 3 times today alone. It also keeps freezing on her.
Another strange issue the new phone is having is when she clicks on an email in the Gmail app the screen flashes like it is going to open the email and it just goes right back to the inbox.
Did she get 2 bad phones ? Now we have to go back to the Sprint store again. She also only receives one out of every three of my text messages.

Apr 29, 2010I've had to pull the battery out three times now because the phone freezes up seemingly randomly when I use the browser. Haven't experienced this while using any other apps. Is anyone else experiencing this? Hoping this will stop happening or a new ROM will fix it.

Aug 21, 2010Ever since the 2.2 update, or downgrade as I now call it, my phone has been freezing nonstop. I have no clue what's going on. I have very few apps. The only reason I got this phone was because I'd thought it would be better than my old Samsung Instinct, which also constantly experienced freezes.
Here's an in depth look:
Press top button, slide down to unlock but no response.
Home screen, will not respond to touch.
Placing a call to someone, and before they answer, another call will come in completely freezing my phone, hard reset required.
The only reason I switched from the instinct is because I was sick of the freezes. And this phone hadn't done it before the update. Now, since my 30 day return is over, and the update came after the 30 grace period, I'm stuck with this POS phone.
Do you guys have any clue about this?
If not, looks like I'm switching from sprint after my 12 year run with them.
HTC Incredible :: CM6 RC3 Loaded And Phone Started Freezing
Aug 29, 2010Just loaded up CyanogenMod6 RC3 last night and since then my phone has frozen twice. I'm on the 2.xx radio not the 2.15. Should I up the radio? Or is the freezing a known issue with CM6?

Jun 14, 2010Today my phone has been randomly freezing up, once in dolphin browser, and once in a game called drop.each time the phone screen freezes, and i cant do anything and none of the buttons work. i turn off the display by hitting the top button, then it wont come back on ever, so had to take out battery and restart phone.any idea whats causing this? i've had the phone since june 4th, and today is the first time this happened and its happened twice.

Motorola Droid X :: Phone Freezing / Rebooting Randomly - Fix It?
Jul 31, 2010Seems to be getting more frequent. At first it was just freezing and would sometimes return to a usable state while I was listening to music. In the past couple of days it has begun freezing completely when using gtalk or other messaging applications when I would go to enter text. Voice to Text hangs and then force close, but everything else freezes up. I hold down the power button and feel the vibration when the screen to choose what option comes up, but nothing on the screen changes. A minute later, it reboots. I haven't had to do a battery pull yet.
Droid is rooted and I have removed maybe 3 apps... I can't pinpoint an installation of something that maybe caused this to start. Anyone with similar issues? Any fix? Should I just try and swap it out? I have the newest update...
General :: LG Optimus G2X - Waterlogged Phone Freezing On Wake
Sep 13, 2012I have a LG Optimus G2X (p999), running CM7.
The phone got waterlogged being in a backpack during a thunderstorm. The common "overnight-in-rice" remedy worked to dry the phone. On power up everything seemed fine except for one thing, the notification that says "Safe to remove SD Card". Upon further inspection it seems to be irrelevant to the real problem, as the sd card is still readable and writable by the phone.
The phone "freezes" after allowing the phone to sleep (locking not necessary for the problem to occur). After the screen goes off for more than a few seconds, then next wake action will turn on the screen but the system will not respond. Only hitting the power button seems turn off the screen. From that point onward, no key is responsive (screen will stay off). The cause seems to be caused by the following logcat message

waitForCondition(LockCondition) timed out (identity=67, status=0). CPU may be pegged. trying again.
This warning is spammed from the point of "freezing" untill I pull the battery. Also the following message seems to be an indicator as to why the phone won't wake again.

The problem is difficult to debug because I cannot debug it, literally. The problem only occurs while on battery power. Connecting the cable to a usb port stopping this problem from occuring.
Things I've tried
-Airplane mode (to eliminate any communcation device as being the problem)
-Loaded an entirely different rom (Paranoid Android CM9 Based)

Sep 24, 2010Recently when I use the stock/default music player, when I try to pause or stop it, it keeps playing. If I press the hard home key, it will go to the home screen but the music will keep playing even if I press pause. If I am still in the music player app and press the back button, it goes to a black screen and keeps playing. Today I tried to shut down my phone to get it to stop and it kept playing for a couple minutes and took much longer than usual for the phone to shut down.
Do I just have to use a different music player? Is the default one really buggy or something? Not sure if it has anything to do with it but I only noticed it after I updated to 2.2.

Nov 8, 2010So my Vibrant has been freezing on me and then consequently restarting to the state right after the Galaxy S boot screen, where it shows no signal and searching for media on the SD, etc.
Today it did some really really weird stuff!
I was using Google nav and then all of a sudden the screen froze, but it didn't reset or anything. The screen it froze was not good looking either, it looks like it's faded with scan lines.
I attached a picture, sorry for the low quality, but only had a friend's Pre to document it before I had to do a battery pull. But you can see the scan lines on the screen faintly.

I know that there is a wait for these phones to upgrade when Android has a version upgrade for their OS. If I were to remove the Sense UI from the phone would it be possible to upgrade immediately when a release is available? Take, for example, the Droid Eris. Would it be possible to disable/remove the Sense UI and install Android 2.1 and not have to wait? Or is Sense embedded in the phone to where that's not possible?
