I disable the sense by following the steps in the stick and now I cant re enable it. It will not allow me to click the "clear defaults" again. What can I do to fix this or will I have to call for a factory reset?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been using the Cyanogen 6.0 Rom for like 2 weeks and really like it. Besides the random reboots which I now notice after flashing stable 6.0. I really like this rom but they just uncapped 4G in Boston and would love to have it as part of my rom. I've got accustomed to not having HTC sense and don't really wanna go back(though if I have to for 4G, I will). Any good roms without sense that have 4G Enable? If not then any great stock Froyo roms that has everything working and is fast as Cyanogen?

I just thought I would mention unchecking this option causes pandora to stop playing after ever doing when the phone is locked.

She was right in the fact that it won't get past HTC now.. I'm at a loss on what to do besides a factory restore.
View 4 Replies View RelatedToday i noticed that when i leave an application either by backing out or pressing home, sense has to reload. It first flashes the HTC sign, then it takes about 10 seconds to load my home screen. Now this morning i installed an update for "spare parts". Im assuming this was the culprit so I un installed. Still having the problem though. Extremely annoying!

View 11 Replies View RelatedSense UI keeps crashing on me! It used to happen maybe once every couple weeks but now I get it 2-3 times a day. I just got Pandahome last night and when I switch from Panda to Sense it restarts sense maybe 1 out of 10 times but the crashing problem began before then so I don't know what's causing it. I'd try a hard reset but last time I did that my phone wouldn't activate and it took Verizon 3 hours to fix.

It's more than a little frustrating as my customized home screen was pretty heavy on the HTC widgets.

View 17 Replies View RelatedGreetings, after having heavily used the the phone for a week here are my Sense UI/HTC apps pet peeves on the Eris (probably not present in Moto Droid - if someone would confirm it would be great):time stamp missing if it's not today (e.g., SMS from yesterday or before don't show what *time* they were received or sent, same for info on when last mail was last sync yesterday ). The system keeps this info, why not display it? This is useful for me.No weekly calendar view - what were they thinking?? (The day view looks so cool - but not useful to me. However, I can just imagine what a nice job they would have done for a weekly view.This is more a wish list item, not a gripe It would be nice to have the screen blank time separately from the phone lock feature

So if it is out there then I am sorry for the repetitive post.I just updated to 2.1, and can't figure out how to switch to the Home instead of HTC Sense Home? Anyone out there know how to do this? Before on 1.5 OS, all I had to do was hold down the "Home" button to display my most recent 6 apps, then hit the button again to pick if I wanted "Home" or "HTC Sense".Now, that does not work.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying a run without sense to hopefully relieve a lot of the lag problems I've been having. I know I should root, but I don't want to while I'm still under warranty and I'd like to give it a try without to see if I would like it without sense. I have launcher pro installed with home switcher and that seems to have changed over fine(with one incident where my sense home came up). The problems I'm having are with the messaging and dialer apps. I've installed handcent and like it, but I still get the notifications for the sense messaging app, so now I get two every text messaged. Also I've installed Dialer one, but the green phone button still fires up the stock dialer. Is there any way to fully replace these parts without rooting? I also really want the calendar app back, is the launcher pro one similar enough? I like seeing the whole month and being able to scroll with just the widget.

One of the biggest thing I am looking forward to is the new Sense's browser performance. So can someone record a video demo-ing the browser? In particular, I would like to see how much the MULTITOUCH (pinch-zoom) has improved from the 1.5 Sense, that is one of my biggest concerns.
View 28 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend has a Droid Eris and she is currently on 1.5. From my understanding HTC needs to update Sense UI before she is able to get the 2.0 or 2.1 upgrade. Say she didn't want Sense anymore and just wanted to upgrade to 2.0 or 2.1.
Is this something that's possible? Will she lose any functionality? I think it would be worth it to ditch Sense UI and just be able to be on the latest firmware. As these updates become more frequent, I think relying on HTC to keep up is a little unrealistic. Upgrading the firmware at your own pace seems more appealing. Is this possible?
Does anyone know if the new OS will allow for Bluetooth Headset initiated Voice Dialing?

View 19 Replies View RelatedI backed up my apps in anticipation of a factory reset and nothing since then. so since i switched back to sense yesterday, i have noticed that when off the homescreen for too long, like while browsing the internet, when i return to the homescreen, sense reboots itself. black HTC screen comes up and sense gets a reboot. i figure maybe this is because the OS is used to switching sense to the background because i was running helix for so long.
