HTC Incredible :: Sense Force Close / Reloading After Root
Jun 19, 2010Not sure what I after I rooted my phone but HTC Sense keeps either reloading itself everytime almost everytime i hit the home button from an App (a popup box will come up saying reloading, and my home screen is blank, then stuff appears slowly)OR In the middle of whatever app, i'll get an "HTC sense com.application bla bla force close wait ".Anyone know what I could of done to screw this up?

Apr 15, 2010I'm looking into getting the Droid Incredible but had a question about all Android phones with the HTC Sense UI. I know that there is a wait for these phones to upgrade when Android has a version upgrade for their OS. If I were to remove the Sense UI from the phone would it be possible to upgrade immediately when a release is available? Take, for example, the Droid Eris. Would it be possible to disable/remove the Sense UI and install Android 2.1 and not have to wait? Or is Sense embedded in the phone to where that's not possible?

Dec 1, 2013I just purchased an HTC One ( a little late, but it wasn't available in my country, Mexico until about 2 weeks ago) I checked what version of Android I was running and I was unpleasantly surprised to know that I was running 4.1.2... I tried to update the software but the phone told me that I was running the latest version available for my phone... I wasn't planning on rooting but know that i'm stuck in 4.1.2 I might try to. Is there anyway I can update to at least 4.2.2?

So i heard that you can get better battery life on your Incredible and you can also make you phone faster. Here is what i have done so far. I install Unrevoked on my mac and connected to my phone and did its stuff. after all said and done i have and Icon on my phone called SuperUser which i have no idea what that is. Then I read that i need to download busybox , Ok! But now what? I can't seem to understand anything. All i wanted was to remove some of the preinstall apps and get a faster CPU and get better battery life. But since i dont know what i am doing and getting frustrated i just want to go back on how my phone came when it came out the box. I am idiot to this so please i need step by step on what i need to do. I have a MAC not a windows computer. Also if you think that you can walk me through with either project (remove root or what i was orig planning on doing) please send me expecting details.

Oct 28, 2010I have a rooted dinc with a Innocell 3500mAh Extended Life Battery.Other than the battery and being rooted (removed some stock apps and added wireless tether),its still stock (ie. ROM, Kernel, etc.).I don't talk, text, or browse the web much, but I do stream Pandora ALL DAY at work.Usually about 7-8 hours non stop Ever since I rooted, it seems like it runs a little slower (ie. scrolling through home screens, exiting apps, sometimes it hangs or lags, etc. The snapdragon processor just isn't "snappy" (pun intended) as it formerly was.I was thinking about doing a Factory data reset ? or do I need to unroot, then reroot again?

Aug 31, 2010I see there are a couple of threads on this but I want to make sure I have this right. I just got off with Asurion and they are shipping a replacement. I had rooted my phone, installed some root only apps like wireless tethering and set cpu, removed some bloat like CityID and Tweet/Peep, and changed the boot animation. No custom ROM or radio update.When I wanted to get the OTA update so I applied s-off and flashed back to stock recovery.
So what do I need to do to return this phone. I know I will need to apply s-on. Then should I flash a stock 2.1 or just revert the changes I made to boot animation, restore the bloatware, and remove the root apps? Do I need to remove any other files that go with being root?

Aug 4, 2010Just put the latest ROM on my phone last night and rooted. I was all excited adding my apps back and setting the phone up that I neglected to test the phone.
I received a phone call today and couldn't hear anything. Like the person on the other end muted their phone. Now the kicker, if I put the phone on Speakerphone I can hear the caller just fine (as fine as pre 2.2). I looked around and haven't been able to find any reference to this.

Jul 29, 2010I just rooted my incredible with unrevoked and everything is workinhg except my video camera. I set the resolution. To 720p and I hit record and it stays on for 4 seconds and then restarts my phone. Please help. Wireless tether works though. I'm very happy about that.
