For those who have been using Android, where can i get the .apk or files needed to install Chinese I ME to Android? Which program would you recommend for Traditional and Simplify Chinese? Also does it include the keyboard or finger writing recognition to input Chinese?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working on an art project with several other people that involves simultaneity and photography. We want to coordinate a series of events involving simultaneous photographs based on the Android system.
In simple terms, here is what we are proposing. Someone writes an app for Android Phone/Camera that makes the camera take a photograph at a predetermined time so that many thousands of people all take a simultaneous photograph. The art involved here is not only the synchronizing of the event to approximate simultaneity but also making "social networking" into an element of an art project.
That would be nice video player if you could play compressed divx movies without encoding them in a program to h264 or mp4.One way I know you can play divx on a G1 Phone is to take your Divx movie and convert it using a program called XvidforPsp then put the video settings for the screen resolution for the androids phone or just select apples iphone presets and encode the video in h264 or mp4 then move the file to your memory card and open it in video player.I did this and it works great for watching your divx movies on a G1.Just whish i didnt have to do the extra steps.

When I send an email from the phone, does it get uploaded to the 'sent items' folder in the server? can k-9 access the full contact list stored in the phone? Alternatively, are there other email programs which would meet my needs?

really now i have problem i but the nandriod on sd card and i copy the files on android on c but when i power the galaxy in fastboot it asked me for android 1.0 driver and i try to use the drivers that come with sdk 1.0 and 1.5 and 1.6 but no way and after few second the mobile make restart automatically (i turns the usb debug on ) and after restart the windows detect unknown device what i have to do?

I have a stock ADP, firmware 1.0, no updates no mods and of course I want to get the latest features such as voice control, latitude etc, and so begins the fun. Why is there nothing official that can be easily found which states what is going on for people that own the ADP? I must have read dozens of articles showing update procedures and claiming to have leaked OFFICIAL developer updates and only recently did i find 2 thread that eventually end with something stating there is NO official update for developer phones yet.
I have 2 gripes about this:
1. Why no official and clear statement from the development team to clarify this before people start scrambling desperately to install leaked versions that are false? (I know I almost did) 2. Why as a developer do I have to wait for features that are already available to end users?
Is there a real estate app out there for the Droid similar to Zitter for the iPhone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am developing my am on mac (10.5.8), on eclipse and SDK 1.6 and a Vodafone HTC Magic Everything was working ok up to a few days ago. I can not see my device on adb devices. I also got a Sony Xperia and I can not see it on the list either. I upgraded the phone software (the HTC) to 1.6 a few days ago. Maybe that is what caused the change, but I could not be sure.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, for a lark, I downloaded the Google Pinyin IME, which allows me to enter Chinese characters on my Droid X. It works handily. But when I put the characters in an SMS using hand-cent, it never arrives at its destination. It's not that it arrives as gibberish, it just doesn't arrive. My friend, in a trouble shooting attempt, installed it on his Droid Incredible, also using hand-cent. I receive his SMS's with the Chinese characters in them perfectly fine, but he never receives mine. When I use my goggle voice account to send myself an SMS with Chinese characters in it, it arrives as little squares. Is this a Verizon problem, a hand cent problem, or something else entirely.

Anyone else have this problem? I like the extra time but not being able to charge in anything except the wall isn't that great. Guess i'll just use them as backup batteries.

I already checked with HTC support and below it's their reply:
"I can understand the frustration with not having the Chinese be compatible with Chinese. Unfortunately, this version with Telus is an English/French only device. If you want Chinese on the device you will need to search for a 3rd Party Application on the Market. We do not get trained in the Applications so we do not support them and you will need to do some research for them. You can Google the Chinese Language Pack as well, but again we cannot support this 3rd Party Programming and I advise to research before downloading to your device."
why after upgrade to 2.1 can not Written Chinese ,i can't written chinese in my sms or mms
