View 1 Replies View RelatedMy current situation is that I have a phone with 2 camera apps on it, stock and camera FV-5.
Camera FV-5 is slower than the stock camera, so I only use it in situations which I need manual control.
Whenever I open whatsapp and try to send a photo, the app asks me which camera I want to use, with no option to always use stock. I don't want camera FV-5 to exist as an option, as I will open it if I want to use it.
Is there a way to remove an app from the list so that my phone does not recognise camera FV-5 as a camera?

Having done a search without much luck, I need an app for translation of English into Chinese, preferably with a voice option too. I understand that goggle translate will do this but as I travel to remote areas will this app work when Im not connected to the net?

View 23 Replies View RelatedI bought HDC Storm MX phone from China. It has MT6589 quad-core (if that changes anything). It had all the chinese apps, but I removed them, and flashed gapps, and everything is working great, except the gps.It just cant get a lock on anything. After waiting a few minutes, it just found 2 sattelites, but didnt lock on them.It's rooted, and I already tried changing "gps.conf" file, but it didn't work. I attached the screen I get, when I am using GPS Status.
I dont know what the second icon from the left side in the status bar means.as there are probably no custom roms for this device?
I have a statement like:
System.out.println("My simplified Chinese characters: 好");
However in the LogCat (Eclipse Plugin) the Chinese characters appear as some junk chars:
05-11 22:14:11.182: INFO/System.out(31582): My simplified Chinese characters: Ã¥¥½Ã¥Æ’
First, I thought it was a LogCat font issue but I tried a whole bunch of Chinese fonts and all gave the same result.
The Chinese characters display fine in my Java source code (UTF-8 encoded).
Also the chars appear fine in the Emulator. Any thoughts?

Yesterday, i decided to factory reset my phone to wipe all data and i done that this way: Settings - Backup and Reset - Factory Reset. After this, my phone reboot and now the operative system does not launch. The screen lights on but doesn't do nothing, neather the logo appears. I've tried to pull out the battery, full charged it and some other things and remains the same.
I've tried to go to Recovery mode but i don't know how to access it in this chinese phone. I've tried Vol Down + Power Button, Vol Up + Power Button, Home + Power Button...doesn't do nothing, only black light screen.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo, for a lark, I downloaded the Google Pinyin IME, which allows me to enter Chinese characters on my Droid X. It works handily. But when I put the characters in an SMS using hand-cent, it never arrives at its destination. It's not that it arrives as gibberish, it just doesn't arrive. My friend, in a trouble shooting attempt, installed it on his Droid Incredible, also using hand-cent. I receive his SMS's with the Chinese characters in them perfectly fine, but he never receives mine. When I use my goggle voice account to send myself an SMS with Chinese characters in it, it arrives as little squares. Is this a Verizon problem, a hand cent problem, or something else entirely.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm getting a ton more time out of the batteries charged in the wall charger but I have noticed the batteries won't charge in the phone via USB. Anyone else have this problem? I like the extra time but not being able to charge in anything except the wall isn't that great. Guess i'll just use them as backup batteries.
