HTC Droid Eris :: Games On Andriod

Coming to the Eris from an iPhone, the biggest issue with me so far has been the difference in applications between the two platforms, specifically games. I have tried a few of the games on here so far and they seem to be pretty fun. One that I have spent a good time playing is Shoot U, which is similar to ragdoll blaster on iPhone if anyone has played that before. Anyway, enjoy!

I was trying to download some games off of the android market place and realized some of the games did not work ie. baseball superstars 2010, and the ko boxing one.I know these are the free games that worked on my droid, but don't seem to work on my eris. How can I tell what games will work on my phone?

Can any of you parents of 3-5 year olds out there let me know if you have found any games or apps that are educational or at least fun for kids in this age group? I have several games on my itouch but can't seem to find them for the droid. The droid serach engine does not seen to work as well as itunes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I got the full version of snes emulator for my eris. Does anybody have any suggestions of any games that work well with this phone, since it doesn't have an actual keyboard? I have tried a couple and the controls are horrid. any help would be much appreciated!

I am working on an art project with several other people that involves simultaneity and photography. We want to coordinate a series of events involving simultaneous photographs based on the Android system.
In simple terms, here is what we are proposing. Someone writes an app for Android Phone/Camera that makes the camera take a photograph at a predetermined time so that many thousands of people all take a simultaneous photograph. The art involved here is not only the synchronizing of the event to approximate simultaneity but also making "social networking" into an element of an art project.

That would be nice video player if you could play compressed divx movies without encoding them in a program to h264 or mp4.One way I know you can play divx on a G1 Phone is to take your Divx movie and convert it using a program called XvidforPsp then put the video settings for the screen resolution for the androids phone or just select apples iphone presets and encode the video in h264 or mp4 then move the file to your memory card and open it in video player.I did this and it works great for watching your divx movies on a G1.Just whish i didnt have to do the extra steps.

I'm considering moving from Nokia to Android, probably to a Motorola Droid/Milestone and have a few questions on k-9 email: does k-9 run on Android 2.x? does it support imap idle for true push email? what is the battery drain with imap idle on? does it support html email? when I delete an email from the phone, does it get deleted from the imap server, too? When I send an email from the phone, does it get uploaded to the 'sent items' folder in the server? can k-9 access the full contact list stored in the phone? Alternatively, are there other email programs which would meet my needs?

really now i have problem i but the nandriod on sd card and i copy the files on android on c but when i power the galaxy in fastboot it asked me for android 1.0 driver and i try to use the drivers that come with sdk 1.0 and 1.5 and 1.6 but no way and after few second the mobile make restart automatically (i turns the usb debug on ) and after restart the windows detect unknown device what i have to do?

I get an error when I try to update the radio. "update radio ignoring attempt to do multiple firmware updates" I don't know what I did wrong. I put PB13IMG.ZIP on sd card, it installed. Then DINC_OTA and renamed to update applied that. REBOOTED checked settings and its still not updated.

For example, "BEGIN:VCAL" might launch a calendar application; "http:" might launch a browser.How can I "register" my application so the OS (or the Barcode application) will call it for a specific type (i.e. leading characters) of QR Code text?

Recently i got 2 android phones by samsung. One is Samsung Galaxy i5801 Apolo and the other Samsung i5500(Galaxy 5).
Both these mobiles don't have a front camera in it. Is it possible to make a video call from these devices without a front camera?

The last couple of days I have been unable to download anything from the marketplace. It is also impossible to update the apps I already downloaded.I can open and start the download, but after a few minutes the phone reports that the download failed.Any suggestions for solving this problem?

This is my first post and I am new to Android so excuse my ignorance if this is well documented and common knowledge. I have a stock ADP, firmware 1.0, no updates no mods and of course I want to get the latest features such as voice control, latitude etc, and so begins the fun. Why is there nothing official that can be easily found which states what is going on for people that own the ADP? I must have read dozens of articles showing update procedures and claiming to have leaked OFFICIAL developer updates and only recently did i find 2 thread that eventually end with something stating there is NO official update for developer phones yet.
I have 2 gripes about this:
1. Why no official and clear statement from the development team to clarify this before people start scrambling desperately to install leaked versions that are false? (I know I almost did) 2. Why as a developer do I have to wait for features that are already available to end users?

Been on the look out for a decent 3D RPG for my Desire.I've seen Crusades of Destiny, but I'm not keen on the graphics. I read a post somewhere in these forums from the developer of Ravensword for iPhone, and he said he was looking at converting it to droid.Till then are there ANY decent RPG's out there. Fantasy ones, preferably in 3D. Or can someone recomend any decent PSX ones that I can use with PSX4Droid? Been playing Diablo for a bit, and its not bad.I'm thinking of a droid equivalent to Oblivion, Fallout 3, or Dragon Age. Yes I know it's impossible to port these monsters to the droid before someone comes out with a sarcastic reply. However surely the early Elder Scroll games are low enough quality to be ported. Maybe even Morrowind.
