I've noticed that when I have my bluetooth headset connected to my phone, the headset rings when someone calls but the phone doesn't. Is there a way I can make them both ring in case I'm not wearing my headset?

normal, the sound gradualy increases from small
volume to gighter , how can i .make it ring loudly

All the apps I have found, to make your phone ring to help you find it, require sending an SMS from another phone. Doesn't help much when I am at home and can't find my phone. Is there an app to find my phone using my PC? Like, send an email? Or maybe there is an app for my PC that sends an SMS? I can't find that either.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my DX paired to a motorcycle helmet bluetooth headset (Cardo Scala G4). It's setup on the A2DP profile. It plays music just fine, as well as makes and receives calls. The problem is that when I have an incoming call, my headset does not ring at all. The only thing that happens is, if I'm playing music, the music stops.
I've scoured the internet and cannot find any resolution. I know that it's the phone (and not the headset) because when I pair the headset to my wife's LG Dare, it rings through the headset speakers perfectly. This is a major problem, and I'm hoping that there IS a way to overcome this.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor example, I've decided that when I get my DX I want "Uncle F***a" for my ring tone and another short audio clip for my text tone. Can I do this or do I have to purchase and download ring/text tones from Verizon?
I have AT&T now, so I don't really know how it works for Verizon and/or if there is a way to do this with the DX.
When I make a call there is a short, odd ring-tone that occurs just after I press Dial and before the normal ringing sound begins to indicate the call is going through.
It's about 1/2 second long, can be quite loud sometimes, and is kind of high-pitched....sorry, it's hard to describe. The tone modulates up and down quite fast - da-dum-da-dum-dum (if you can imagine).
I tried re-programming the phone, and also updating roaming, and it's still there every time I make a call. I haven't made any changes to call settings to speak of...never had this on my D1.
I have a sprint anycom bluetooth reciever connected to my car stereo. I think it only supports the A2DP bluetooth profile (no hfp).Right now the music plays through the car stereo just fine but when I get a phone call it does not. Ideally I would like to have the phone call audio go through the stero and use the phone's microphone as if it were on speakerphone. Is this possible?My phone is a g1 running the latest experimental release of cyanogenmod rom.I would love a built in solution but I think the ability to do that is so non standard it wouldn't exist. An existing marketplace app with the ability would be great, too. I have not done any android development but I am a java developer, so a pointer on how to do it programmatically (or that it is not possible) would be great, too.

What I want to do is develop an application on Android phone which will act as a blue tooth headset, so it can connect to my laptop by blue tooth. When I try to call somebody, I can use my phone to dial him, and my application will forward the voice through blue tooth to my laptop, and one other application running on laptop will get the voice data and forward them to Skype or G Talk or some VoIP program else. My desire will not always ring the sms ring notifier when i recieve texts, it annoyed me so much that i decided to do a warranty swap, and the new one does the same thing!is this a standard android thing? it seems to me that if i have recieved or sent a text to somebody within 30 minutes, it will not ring, as though it expects me to be hovering over my phone staring at it for a reply, is this a normal issue? and is there a way to fix it?

I went to Settings>Ringtone> and everytime I changed my ringtone, it WOULD NOT sample the tone even when the media and ringtone volume was FULL!

Every time I am in either of the above apps, my phone does not ring. Is this common. I just had Sprint walk me though a complete reboot of my phone and it still does not ring when in the mentioned apps. When I go to espn.com and surf there website, my phone will get "kicked" out of the website and start ringing.

I have made ring tones & placed them in the appropriate folders. Sometimes when I receive a phone call, the only way I know it is because my bluetooth will beep in my ear. The phone lights up & caller id kicks in but I get no sound & no vibrate. I can call the phone & actually see the symbol for "silent mode" pop up & disappear when the phone rings. I then have to go to the Sound & Display tab & re-choose the ring tone I already have selected from the list to get audible ring tones. Can anyone shed light into this?
Also sometimes my personalized ring tones for contacts will not play, or more like play the 1st time they call & play the default ring tone the 2nd time they call.

It sends the caller directly to voicemail without even ringing on their end. I have only had the phone for 4 days after switching from a Blackberry Curve. I went back and forth trying to decide if I wanted the Moment or the Tour. I chose the Moment but if the phone will not ring while I am surfing the Internet...it really is not going to work out.

The biggest problem that we are having is that the phone will not ring until about the 3rd or 4th ringtone, which by the 6th or so, it goes to VM anyways.... so If I call her (or anyone) I'll hear the calling tone from my end, and on the 4th one or so, finally her phone will ring, but you have about 5 seconds then it goes to voice mail... can anyone help me with this? if it matters, I do have google voice setup with gvoice as the stock vmail... I don't remember if it was doing that before this
