Aug 29, 2010Is there anyway to make the incredible stop notifications for new email and sms messages without stopping it from ringing? I am a new user and am used to the blackberry setup that would vibrate those notifications in the holder but still allow the phone to ring. I figure there has to be an app for this but can't find it.

I would want to reach up and answer the phone and use the phones speaker mode for talking or can be easily removed. Something basically like the bluetooth speakers they have for visors. I am surprised I have not been able to find one.

Problem is, all the ones I've seen are basically clear cases that advertise the fact you have an expensive phone on your arm. I don't really want a handlebar mount cos my riding gets pretty rough so is there something that isn't either of these that anyone has found?

Jul 12, 2010I am using the OEM charger on my Dinc and nothing else. I randomly get a message something like, "The charger you are using is not compatible with your device. Remove the charger now to avoid damage to your phone". I have not used anything other than the OEM charger ever. It isn't loose or frayed or bent strangely. It also seems to charge even though the message pops up. For now, I'm using my computer's USB port to charge it but man, that's SLOOOOOOOOW. It has done it since I first got the phone and before I had even installed my first app. It also does it after a factory reset and reprogram. Customer service is sending an aftermarket wall charger free of charge until I can get an OEM unit as they are obviously out of stock.

Oct 5, 2009Firstly just wanted to say how useful this forum has been in keeping up to date with all the latest goings on for my HTC Hero (well, T-Mobile G2 in my case). Anyway. I'm having some problems with the speaker on my phone, the one you hold to your ear, rather than the one that plays music, loud speaker etc. I think I've found a solution, so wanted to share that with you guys, but also find out if anyone else has had a similar problem.
My phone has started crackling a lot when making calls. Other people can hear me fine, but their voice seems to crackle and fizz if it gets too loud. If I turn the volume up on my phone it gets even worse. At first I thought it was a blown speaker or something, but looking at the sim card holder, it seems to be that that's causing a rattle, it gets vibrated when the sound comes through the speaker. When I tap the back of my phone, gently!, it makes a slight rattling sound. I can eliminate the problem entirely by taking the back off the phone and firmly holding the top of the battery, thus stopping the sim card holder rattling around. However this isn't an ideal solution for everyday use!

Am using Mini to Micro usb converter/adapter on motorola RAZR1 charger--plug charger's mini into the converter plug, then plug the micro end of the converter into the Evo.
When I plug this set up into the phone, the screen changes from the Home screen to a large icon screen with Footprints, Navigation, Voice Search etc. big icons. Have not seen this screen on this phone before.
Have tried two different mini/micro converter plugs on different Razr1 chargers with the same result.
Since the RAZR2 chargers are compatible with the Evo, I had assumed that the RAZR1 chargers would also be compatible, the only issue being the mini/micro interface. So I purchased for short money some converters so the I could use the multiple RAZR1 chargers I have.
Seems that the RAZR1 must have a substantially higher, or lower, output that is just not compatible with the Evo.
Does anyone have any info or experience regarding RAZR1 chargers with the Evo ? ...with this screen changing thing ?
HTC EVO 4G :: Wall Charger Freezeseboots Phone
Oct 5, 2010Just this morning I plugged my phone into the wall charger and it froze up everything. Eventually the phone reboots, but after it finishes booting it freezes again and the whole process repeats indefinitely. If I charge it from a usb port it works fine. I searched around but haven't seen anyone else with this issue. Any insight or suggestions would be great. CM6.0 w/King's #2 kernel UPDATE EDIT: It's now doing it even if I use the usb port method. Getting pretty fed up with this thing, it had been working flawlessly with this romkernel combo for a week before this.
