Aug 10, 2010I work in an office and can listen to XM radio all day on the phone. Is it bad to keep it on the charger all day while I do this, to assure I have 100% battery life for when I exit the office?
Or is it better to let it dwindle down to 15% or so and then charge it while at work?
Motorola Droid X :: Charger Plugged In And Phone Turned Off
Jul 16, 2010I have a Droid X and so does my GF. Both of us have obviously been adding apps, trying to figure things out, etc. quite a bit. She plugged hers in last night to charge and it turned off. We thought maybe because it was so warm from messing with it. Well, today it's turned off twice for no reason at all. Anyone else have this problem or have a recommendation? Everything seems ok on hers when we compare our two. Mine has yet to do this once?

Oct 6, 2010I bought 2 spare BP6X batteris and a Motorola OEM P323 Charger for my Droid. Does anyone know why my Droid says the battery is fully charged, 100% (with cord attached), then if I put it in the charger the red light stays on and it charges for another 30 minutes? The app battery status pro (new) also shows a higher voltage when said battery is re-inserted into the phone.

May 24, 2010I have the VZW car charger they were bundling back in November, it was not meant for the Droid as it wasn't even listed, it was meant for BB etc. What I have found is that it doesn't give out enough power to charge the Droid at the same time that you are using GPS so the phone actually discharges the battery as you are using. It did not say "charging" and it actually never di gain any battery life from it.Maybe it was defective?So I decided to go and get a Jabra USB car charger and still the same problem. Oct 5, 2010Recently my car charger has stopped working. When you plug it in the phone says charging, and the red light on the adapter goes on when plugged in, but the battery percentage only decreases over time and the little light on the left that normally goes on does not. Has this happened to anyone before? I switched out the USB cable but it's still not charging. The next obvious idea is to buy a new charger but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas before I did. Also, if need be, anyone know of cheap places online to buy one?

Nov 14, 2009I bought a generic car charger for my Droid. My thought was something along the lines of "a micro USB charger is a micro USB charger" and clearly I was wrong.
I noticed that after an hour on the charger while i was using GPS, 3G and Bluetooth, that the charge on my phone had actually dropped by about 10%. At best, the generic charger only slowed the drain from the battery. I replaced it with a Rocketfish charger from Best Buy and, while charging was painfully slow, it did charge.
Maybe it was the brand of charger and maybe my charger was faulty but I thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who is going to grab one.

Jul 17, 2010I have a micro USB charger for my Bluetoth headset (Electronics) and another for my work phone (LG). I can't seem to get the X to charge up using either??? Interestingly, if I take the iPhone charger and change the cable from the USB/30 pin to the USB/micro USB it works fine. All the chargers are rated 5V. The X on any regular USB port on any computer I've tried so far. So, if the 5V is the same for all those chargers, is then just a question of driving enough amps into the X?

They look the same to me (just one is $10 cheaper!) so I thought I'd ask if anyone had any experience with this device. How does it charge the phone? Is there a micro USB connector inside the dock, or do you have to use your own cord? Any other perspectives you can offer on these devices, or any other devices that would charge and do FM transmitting at the same time will be greatly appreciated.

Sep 30, 2010I noticed my phone has stopped being charged by the wall charger. Not to sure why this is. I tried several different outlets in my house and it wouldn't charge. I then used the same cable and plugged it up to my computer and it charges with no problem. My car charger cable works too. Any ideas why the wall charger would want to stop working all the sudden? Its not the cable because like I said I have it charging via my computer.
