I still can't get internet connectivity even after trying all the posted solutions.
Can you tell me (viz. those of you with a working hotspot!), can you still use your browser when the hotspot is active. Just turning the hotspot on on my desire cuts the (mobile data) internet connection with the browser, and anything else!
In fact even after turning off the hotspot I have to toggle mobile data on/off & APN's to get data back.
Also which APN's/usernames/passwords do you have success with & which not?
I think my last resort is to de-brand (Tmob used on Orange) I reckon!
I know, there are already threads out there but I think my question is different...I am looking for a simple password manager just to show the usernames and passwords for about 30 frigging passwords for work...I downloaded KeePassDroid, but when you enter your stuff, it hides the passwords when you look them up...unless I am doing something wrong? I had a Blackberry before this (I'm never going back) and the password vault they had on theirs work t.It listed the usernames and passwords out in the open so you can get at them quickly. It was protected by a password to get into it, but then everything was open to plain view. Any suggestions?

I just had to have my handset replaced so I was about to download eBuddy again. But when I went to read the commnets, I saw a bunch about eBuddy stealing FaceBook passwords. Is this true? What is the best way to investigate something like that? I would really like to keep using eBuddy.

I used to be able to open the email app (using icon), then go to menu key/Email settings/Default email account and I could radio button between my two accounts, both were options (yahoo and outlook). My yahoo account is all set up correctly, and im getting notifications, but I cant toggle back and forth, because only one account is listed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMoved from a droid x2 to a rasr maxx and have been unable to add one of my email account. I'm using the email app native to the rasr and get to the part where you tell it to go off and set up the account, where it cycles for about 45 seconds and then comes back with the message that it could not open connection.
I've made damn sure the account user name was correct as well as the password. Even did it twice, same result. Next I tried to manually set up the account and got the same damn error message. Now, I'm not sure that I had the port correct and I tried all of the security settings to no avail.
one can have multiple twitter, email etc. accounts on Android (running 4.1.2 on a Galaxy Note), but only one Facebook account. However, I have two of them and I need *both* their contacts sync'd to the contacts database (one is my "private" profile for close friends, the other is for work colleagues etc). Also, the built-in Facebook authentication has the same problem as the contact sync - I don't want to run games like Real Racing under my "public" FB profile.
Any way to make two FB profiles on one device? Maybe with something like a "virtualization"?
I'm now trying to implement my own content provider. My original data was stored on network or local/remote file systems, so I want to provide data via input stream. I know that client may call ContentResolver.getnputStream to retrieve the input stream to access data. But I don't know how to implement content provider in this situation, I searched the Internet but all the tutorials for content provider are talks about how to expose data that stored on local database. how to expose data that stored on file systems using a content provider? what happened when client call ContentResolver.getnputStream? I want to know how to return an input stream to my client.

Both email accounts are on gmail.
1. email account is personal. So notifications are ok from the morning to the evening.
2. email account is a work account. I don't want it notifiying me or making sounds unless it's mon-Fri 8am - 430pm.
I must have person emails from the personal email be able to make notification beeps durring the weekend days but I don't want the work email to cause notification sounds during the weekend.
I'm flexible to download email apps or configure. I flexible to have one email app for both accounts. Or 2 email apps , one per each account.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 & now I have upgraded to the new Samsung Galaxy S4 I can transfer everything from contacts to text messages to outlook calendars events. My problem is I can not for the life of me find any information on transferring my e mail accounts without imputing everything all over again which will take for ages so copy & paste affair to transfer all my e mail settings from pop settings and log in passwords as I have 7 e mail accounts that need transferred surely I am not going to have to do this manually which will take ages if it has to be done manually.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 a couple of days ago and since then i've tried to get my e-mail settings sorted out. I have been searching the internet for a long time without finding a solution.
My problem is that i have 4 e-mail accounts and 3 of them i need constantly. My phone can show my e-mails on a nice widget on the homescreen using the default "e-mail" labeled widget3 . However i cant choose which e-mail account i want it to show. Now all i have is 4 times the same nice widget showing me the same e-mail account's 3 newest posts.
I have tried several other e-mail clients but all of them have the same problem. I really like the default client which is bundled on the phone, but it won't do me any good if i cant see all my accounts.
I have the Samsung Moment on Sprint and I gotta say I do love everything about it, but on thing is troubling me. When I go to: Settings>Accounts>Add Account>Facebook
It just takes me back to the "Add Account" screen. There's no option to even input my information to sync the account. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?
My boyfriend has two email accounts on his phone. He wants to backup his personal contacts to his personal account and his more important contacts to his other account. When he tried to do this it doubled the contacts on his phone. (Basically went from 50 contacts to 100 contacts).
Is there any possible way of doing this?
I have a Galaxy Nexus with Stock 4.0.4 ROM and a Transformer Prime also with the stock ASUS firmware (4.0.3), The company where I work has a mail server that supports exchange (Kerio Connect) At that server I have (because I need it that way) 2 different accounts, I need one of those accounts to synchronize everything; contacts, mail, calendar, and the other one to synchronize only calendar appointments.
If I configure the first account everything works just fine. But, when I configure the second account, I start receiving login errors for both accounts every certain time, the apps shows me the option to update my account credentials and when I do it works for the moment but after a while it fails again. If I delete whichever of the two accounts the other works fine.
I have not tested this scenario against other email servers, so I'm not sure if this a problem with my server or if this is an Android problem.
Both accounts are configured as Exchange accounts from Settings menu.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI would love some help with this if anyone can figure out what's going on. I have the FB for Android app installed. I am rooted with Bugless Beast. I was trying to add FB as a sync account through settings-->accounts & sync, but when I click add account-->FB, nothing happens. Then I logged out of the FB app, and my attempt to add a sync account would bring me to the login screen. I can log in, but the account doesn't show up in my list of sync accounts. And I'm back to nothing happening when I do add account-->FB. When I go to a contact, in the sync and gallery screens both say to log in to FB to link. In the sync screen, nothing happens when I tap. In the gallery screen, it pulls up a loading screen that stays up indefinitely. I uninstalled and reinstalled the FB app, and that made no difference. Right now, I'm syncing my pictures using SyncMyPix, but I would like full integration of my contacts and FB friends. I'd appreciate any help getting this to work.

View 26 Replies View RelatedMy Eris won't sync my Google, Facebook, or Twitter accounts. It last did so last Monday, 11/15. I have had emails, messages, tweets, etc. sent to me, but they never sync to my phone, I have to go online to get my Gmail (refreshing within the app does nothing), but refreshing manually from the Facebook and Twitter apps does work. Going into Settings > Accounts & Sync > Sync Now does nothing, and all of the settings here are correct.I've tried rebooting and pulling the battery, but it still does it. Haven't installed anything new recently, since my internal storage is full.

Now I have a crapton of Contacts.. many are just people I have emailed once in my life or some random friend of a friend from facebook. I really don't went them cluttering up my contacts list when I go to make a phone call.

I'm trying to se up both my hotmail and yahoomail email accounts so as I can view my messages on my Desire but I'm not having any luck. When I go into Messages and enter my email and correct password I keep getting the message: 'Cannot connect to the mail server to verify your account information. Your server is not responding'.What do I have to do to sort this out? The HTC Desire online manual is very vague and brief with anything regarding troubleshooting.
