View 4 Replies View RelatedHow can I change my default email notification? I have a folder on on my SD card root/media/notifications. I have ringtones and such in there. However when I go to the menu...settings...and try to change the ringtone for email...there are no options there at all to select other ones. I can only check mark off the option to be notified. How do I get to choose the other ones I have?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI used "ringdroid" to make notification and ringtone sounds and they show up on the lists but only the ringtones work. And even when I try to select a default notification sound, it doesn't change to it, its stays the same as when the one that it was set to when i got the phone. Any ideas what might be causing this and how to resolve it?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI know you can change and have separate ringtones for separate contacts and separate notification tones for text vs email but can you have separate notifications for text messages? I would like to have my twitter messages as silent but all other text messages have an alert.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSorry if this has been asked... I've searched and so far nothing. I just got my new Droid Eris. So far I love it, except for my text message sounds. My ringtone works as my new one. My notification sound plays my preference (Clapton's Layla) when I have an email and such, however, when I get a text message, it still plays the default sound. Is there somewhere you change this other than notification sounds?
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to change when I get a low battery warning message? Can I make it at 5 % not the default? Also, can I turn off the audio notification for the low battery warning?
I an very new to the Eris, so I apologize if this is a simple change that I just haven't found yet.
Does anyone know if there is a way to change the text that always says "Verizon Wireless" when you pull down the notification bar? I am currently not rooted, but will be doing so in the next few days (I'm still trying to decide what ROM i want to flash to start out). I don't know if this is even possible, but I thought it would be another good way to make my phone unique.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded a bunch of email notification tones from Zedge to use with my email, I got into the settings, set the right tone to be used, then go out of the settings. The problem is that if I go back into the settings it defaults back to the "Droid" tone and does not keep the one I want.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have disabled the messenger and placed it in the drawer. I downloaded handcent and ringo lite. I would like to have a general ring tone for incoming texts. However, fire department and my wife I would like to assign seperate notification tones. In addition I would like to download ringtones other than the standard ones on the phone. I see them in the phone ringer section but not in messaging. How do I get them in there. I am new to this so I need detailed instruction.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have read a few threads about missing contacts but have not seen this mentioned.I set ring tones for a lot of my contacts, not all, maybe I'll get around to it one day.It seems that when I set a new song as a ring tone, one or more of my contacts end up with the new song for a ring tone. I noticed that the default would change to the new song but that is easy enough to reset. The problem with an already set contact is I don't know it until I get a call from them.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy biggest problem these days seems to be around the reminder tones for text messages, e-mails, calendar, etc. They only ring one time and it is this little bitty noise. If you don't hear it then you are out of luck unless you just happen to look at your phone. Is there an app where I can put different tones that will continue to beep with reminders until I acknowledge it?

View 28 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to customize one of your already custom ringtone tones that you have selected for the droid eris? what i mean is, can i select which part of the song i want to play when someone calls me? i just purchased a song off of amazon and applied it as my ringtone. you could do this with the iphone and i was wondering if you could do this with the eris as well.
View 2 Replies View RelatedUsed to use Rings Extended and Ringdroid, but uninstalled when I could no longer get SMS or any notification tones to ring. Alarms etc still work. When I go to Settings->Sounds & Display->Notification Ringtone and select from either Android System or any other ringtone program I try, any tone plays when I select it. But no tone for sms, email or notifications.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to set individual notification tones for all my contacts? I've been able to get ringtones for incoming calls figured out but I really NEED to have different tones for my texts from different contacts.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just DITCHED my iphone 4 (at&t service sucks where I live!) and bought a htc hero.I want to assign CUSTOM notification tones of different programs I use with push notifications, however many programs will not let you assign CUSTOM tones and force me to use use the system assigned tone for notification (a single custom one)Is there a workaround for this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set some mp3s as a 1)Ringtone and 2)Notification. Here's how far I've gotten:
1. I mounted my Hero to my computer.
2. I have the media folder with the files of RINGTONES, NOTIFICATIONS.
3. I have the mp3s that I want, in EACH folder.
4. Unmounted the Hero.
Now I'm lost, because I went to my settings to set a default ringtone for my phone calls, and they are not showing up. The only ones showing up are the ones that came with the phone. The same thing is happening for my notifications.I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to this kind of stuff, so if there is anyone out there with the patience to help me out step-by-step,
Just got my Moment and noticed that I can not have different tones for text, voicemail, and email. They all have to be the same as well as when I plug the usb cord into and disconnect it from the phone. Any idea if 2.1 is going to allow people to customize the tones for the phone? I really depend on those. I use the sound to determine weather or not I need to get to the phone to check on it or if I can just ignore it. Also any idea on the voice command? The one that comes with it is worthless, I really liked the "live search" from the instict and you would think Samsung would be able to put in the moment since it was in the instinct.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI purchased the legend yesterday and I'm not sure whether or not I can set a message notification tone to one person. I've figured out how to install different message notification tones onto the phone, but I cannot figure out how to set a tone to one person.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am able to upgrade now and im thinking about jumping ship to Android. I currently have a Blackberry Storm2, i absolutely love the S2 but unfortunately the OS is so far behind everything else on the market and its sooo buggy! A while back i did have a HTC magic but i hated it as there was so much missing from it as in features/specs. I Have a few questions about the Desire if someone wouldn't mind trying to answer (most are biased from using the magic) 1) Do you get push email (I use gmail) 2) are you able to bluetooth pictures etc between phones? 3) are there any niggles about the phone or anything missing from it as in features? 4) Are you able to change ringtone/SMS/MMS/Email/Cnectd/Messenger tones to any MP3 you want? Is there any previous Storm2 or other blackberry users which have jumped to the Desire? If so do you miss anything/how are you finding it.
View 26 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded and installed Ring droid. I have converted one or two songs to ring tones. Ring droid will allow you to assign that ring tone to a contact at the time you make the ring tone. What I can't figure out is how do you change ring tones for any other individuals? I thought you would go into contacts and there would be an option there, but not. So, I went back to Ring droid and the only way I can find to add a custom ring tone there is to convert the same song again. So now I have three copies of the same ring tone. There has got to be a better way. I know I am knew to the Captivate, but this seems like something that would be a no briner (which I have been accused of being).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am new to this community and to the lg spirit 4g phone. My calendar, email and text all have the same ringtone. I miss a lot of things because I can't hear the alert go off no matter what tone I use from the phone's memory.
Do you know how I change alert tones?.
The tones I hear when dialing a number suddenly seem louder than they used to be. Yet I can't find anyplace to change the keypad volume. What am I missing?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave the phone. Went through all the fun of finding my own prefered ring tone - well I made it from a song, and another ring tone for other uses.
Set them up, set the "Message" tone, set the alarm tone and all was good.
It wasn't long after that I bought a SANDISC8 gig SD card.
Coppied ALL files over and swapped the cards.
I am not sure exactly WHEN the problem started, but it still exists.
Now and then the phone is in my pocket and it starts making a sound. It isn't one I selected, so ignore it until it becomes obvious it is mine as no-one else is talking on their phone.
I look and it is a message/phone call/alarm.
They are NOT the ones I set. So I go through the process of seting them back to what I like.
Someone says it could be a dicky SD card. I shall test that soon by putting back the original one and seeing what happens. The only problem with that is that it is SO INTERMITANT that it is hard to know if it is or not really the problem.
