Can i record a simple voice message and send it via MMS? It was pretty simple to do with a cell phone...
I saw that the eris comes with a voice recorder, but i recorded a message and was not able to send it.
Any ideas?
Also, when sending pictures via MMS, it always resizes them and obviously the person receiving doesn't get the same quality. I realize that sending via Gmail doesn't resize, but i send to other cell phones a lot.
I'm thinking the only fix is lowering the camera resolution? I think that lowering the resolution is still better than having it resized for the message. Has anyone tried lowering the resolution to a point that the picture does not need to be resized for MMS?
Same thing for Video messages.. can't even send them. Not sure if it's HAndcent, or the file is just to big
I don't have a computer to get on google wave, so I don't know if other one of them awesome white widow roms has came out yet. Has 4.0 busted out yet? If so, will someone please email le the zip for it, please.

I previous had email working fine on my Droid Eris with the 2.1 OTA. However today after updating my password, the Exchange ActiveSync account will not work on my phone. It gets past the authentication phase, however it seems to have issues saving the account on my phone.After some research, I have found documented cases of simlar issues on other hardware but not the Eris. Is anyone else having this issue, and what changed? Ive had it working on 2.1 OTA, but it will not work now.In my research I came across the following site, is it legit? It seems kind of sketchy, and I dont have the knowledge to determine if it is harmful or not.

This works flawlessly for email and contacts but recently stopped working for calendar. My phone returns the message "The Exchange Server returned some status errors." View 24 Replies View RelatedFor those who have tried to sync up to their work exchange server that requires a downloaded pin from the respective server has probably noticed that this is unable to accomplish using the native Eris app. I was told to download Touchdown, but I have a problem paying for something Eris should have done in the first place. Any other free apps out there or is the Eris update supposed to fix this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been watching this forum for the past two months since I got my Eris. Well this morning I installed the OTA update to 2.1. Since then I cannot sync my SBS03 Exchange email. The strange thing is that the contacts and calendar will eventually sync (after a few hours). I spent the better part of today talking to Verizon and HTC tech support people who have no ideas what to do. I rebooted my server and still have the problem.
First thing I did was do a hard reset on the phone and the problem did not go away.
In what way can a google voice number be used with an eris? I see alot of people wanting a GV invite. What can be done that is so sought after?

View 10 Replies View RelatedDid a search but couldn't find anything on this. I don't have a single song on my Eris. And probably only about 20 pics. Very vew apps. Which tells me this is all based on my email file. I sync'd up both the Sent Items and the Deleted Items about a week ago and I'm betting that stuff has filled up my card. If there a way to clear those two buckets? I really don't need Deleted and Sent on my phone. Didn't realize it would take so much room on the card. Anybody have any ideas?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe just upgraded to Exchange 2010 at work, and all our other phones work just fine. Evo, iphones, other Droid models, so it's not the server. This one phone is the only one we have that is a Eris and we can't get it to sync contacts. I have tried to clear the calendar storage, nothing, redid the account, nothing. It gets email and contacts just not the calendar and has the ! next to the sync circle. If anyone can please tell me how to resolve this it would be great. Been searching for 2 days trying to figure it out.
View 3 Replies View RelatedEver since 2.1 OTA I can't get my sync settings to stick.I want it to push items as they arrive. I check that box, but when I exit out, it goes back to manual. I've tried changing this in the email settings and in the main sync settings.This is driving me crazy- I keep missing my work emails!Also- I have never figured out how to get my vibrating notifications back after the OTA. If my ringer is on vibrate, the only notification I have that an item arrived is my LED.Finally- has anyone found the fix to the multiple notification email bug? I still get 3-4 notifications for one email when my ringer is on ring.

View 22 Replies View RelatedI did the manual OTA update to 2.1 and once I re-setup my exchange account it enforced the security policy (no surprise there thank god for LockPicker!). The Pattern Unlock stayed as well. So I would have to pattern unlock THEN input the 4 digit alphanumeric (major PITA) So after installing lockpicker I only had to pattern unlock - no problem.
Well I've had the dreaded "no-audio" bug a couple times since upgrading so I decided to try a hard reset before pursuing a warranty replacement. This time I did the same thing, setup my Exchange account and installed LockPicker. Now I do NOT have the pattern unlock. Under Security -> Screen Unlock Pattern I only have "Change Unlock Password" and there doesn't appear to be any way to enable the Pattern unlock.
Here is where it gets interesting. My friend has an Eris as well, is on the same exchange server and got 2.1. He is in the same boat that I was PRE 2.1 upgrade where he has the pattern unlock AND the password (I hipped him to LockPicker) and is now where I was with only the Pattern Unlock. Under his Security -> Screen unlock it is the same as mine, with only "Change Unlock Password".
Now not have the pattern unlock is not the end of the world, I just liked having that small bit of security...just curious if anyone can find a way, short of another hard reset, to get Pattern Unlock back. I'm guessing that the issue is that I didn't enable pattern unlock before setting up Exchange and allowing it to enforce that security policy.
Will the Android 2.1 update for the Eris finally allow Exchange tasks to sync with the phone? Will I have to go with some 3rd party paid app like Touchdown to get this? I don't like the idea of non-native apps that may not integrate as well.

Basically now I have to decide if I want to use goggle voice with my current phone number everyone knows or make a whole new one which gives you extra features like free sms. Which way did you guys go, and also lets say I choose to keep it with my current number, could you in the future decide to make a goggle number or are you stuck with that decision you made when signing up?

To put it plainly, the existing voice dialer in the ERIS stinks, and there doesn't seem to be any change with 2.1 over 1.5. Are there good dialers that can be purchased or freebees? I know about Vlink or something like that but the Beta is closed and the real version hasn't been released yet. What is everyone using?
