View 8 RepliesI got my college email account today, and I want to sync it to my phone. My college uses Gmail for the email accounts, but instead of it being @gmail.com, it is @[college name].edu ... so how would I go about adding this to my phone since it is gmail without a @gmail.com?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI searched first but couldn't find anything. I have all my email accounts set up on my Droid X but I can't figure out how to get my school account on there too. It is myname@students.mycollege.edu and it is an outlook account so I don't know how to enter it for it to work right.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI know Android uses two email clients but I assume the Gmail client has the best integration and functionality (please correct me if I'm wrong). My school uses an email system that's based off of Gmail with my address being example@fiu.edu. The calendar is also the same. Here's a link of what the log-in looks like:
https://www.google.com/a/fiu.edu/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&rm=false&co ntinue=https://mail.google.com/a/fiu.edu/&bsv=zpwhtygjntrz&ss=1<mpl=default<mplcache=2& hl=en
Would this work seamlessly with the stock Android Gmail client?
I've been playing with the K9 Email app as a replacement for the stock program. I rather like it, but there is a deal breaker. On my secondary gmail account (not the one the Eris is set up with, but another one that I set up in K9) the font size in the message is so tiny I can't see it. I've searched the options over and over to find a setting to increase the font size, but apparently I can't find it. Would any of you happen to know where it is?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got the Droid Eris yesterday and I was setting up my gmail accounts. I noticed that the only way to view my school gmail account was through the gmail app, however I can view my personal gmail account with the mail app on my home screen. I have tried to select my ASU gmail account for that app but it doesn't give me an option to show it. Is there any way to add that account to the mail viewer?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to link my school email account with my Eris and it wont let me. I got all the settings entered correctly, but it says it cant verify the account and to try again? And advice or suggestions? My blackberry I had before the Eris linked it up no problem.. Ive got to figure this out! "Another way to check your email account is with a POP or IMAP email client like Outlook, Eudora, or Apple's Mail. The table below contains the information you will need to set up your email client to access your university email account."
View 5 Replies View RelatedYes, I have looked around the forum for the answer to this question but no one has the same issue as me (as far as I know)Okay, when I try to set up my school email on my Hero, I get an authentication failure and it says something like " Authentication failed. Please verify your username and password."I have tried using the settings that google has on the website and the school doesn't have anything about setting up an email on a phone ( any phone).I tried changing the server to imap.grcc.edu and I had to confirm the certificate but then it gave the error again. I also tried taking the @email.grcc.edu from the username and that didn't work either. I am really frustrated right now. And no, I do not want to forward it to my other email. I like to keep my school and personal emails separate. Sorry if I sound a bit mean but I know that's what some of you will ask me.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my Droid X, I was able to add my CSUF (@csu.fullerton.edu) email by the following process: 1. Add existing Google account, 2. Menu button -> Browser sign-in, 3. Enter my email address and then select a Google Apps link near the bottom of the page, 4. sign in with my school info, 5. ta-dah! The problem I'm having is that I don't see a similar Google Apps link in the Jelly Bean version from step 3. I've tried a variety of combinations of signing in, without it, but I end up with failure every time. I was just receiving school emails today, on my previous phone, so I'm pretty darn sure it's just an issue with the new setup system.
I'm aware that I can set it all up through the other Email app, but I really prefer having it through Gmail.
I have now successfully added my CSUF email as an existing Google account, by following these steps...
1. Add Existing Google account
2. Don't enter any info, as one normally would to register a gmail account, and instead press the Menu button and select Browser sign-in.
3. On the following screen, enter the email only and press sign in.
4. For me, here it took me to the CSUF sign-in page and I did so.
5. I actually browsed the site a bit, from there, which leads me to believe that if your sign-in is failing by all of these other steps, the missing factor may be spending enough time signed in through the browser.
6. I pushed the back button until I was greeted with the "Signing In" message.
I've done this before, and it only exited me back out to where I could enter my email and password for an existing account, so as mentioned, success might be due to spending enough time signed in for the connection to register.
Is it possible to use the stock email client that comes on the phone to send and receive my school emails? I login on my computer through windows live and the ending to my email is @mail.mizzou.edu. I already tried to set it up on the phone once but i get error messages.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm wanting to set up another email account and when I select the new account button on the setup account screen, it takes me to a screen with a "Motorola service agreement" and I have to agree with the terms and conditions before continuing. Is this correct? Do all email accounts go through a Motorola server? The same thing happens with setting up Facebook, MySpace and other services.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried following the directions posted on my university's website and also contacted IT department but they haven't gotten back to me yet. Here are the directions I tried to follow:
GroupWise IMAP
Configure Your IMAP Client
Configure your IMAP client using these specifications:
imaps.luc.edu is your "Inbound Mail," "INBOX server" or "Incoming E-mail server"
993 is your "Port", for INBOX server Port," or "Incoming E-mail server Port"
SSL is your security setting.
mail.luc.edu is your "Outbound Mail," "SMTP gateway," or
"Outgoing E-mail server" if Loyola is your Internet provider (see note below)
your Loyola Computer ID is your username
the client should check for new e-mail every 10 (or more) minutes
Note: If you do not connect to the Internet through Loyola, your "Outbound Mail" or "Outgoing E-mail server" specification will NOT be mail.luc.edu. Check with your Internet service provider for the correct specification. The outgoing email settings must be incorrect. After fooling around, I managed to make it work so that I can read my university email with email app but responses to said emails will end up going through my gmail account. I want to be able to send outgoing messages through my university address as well. It should be possible seeing as my university is offering IMAP functionality, plus my girlfriend goes to the same school and her Blackberry is synced up with the email server perfectly.
I've searched and cannot find anything regarding rtf files and the Droid.
Can anyone help me by directing me towards and app or setting that will allow me to view rtf files received as email attachments?
I have Documents to Go full version but the phone won't even download the file.
I am a converted BB user. One of the features i cant seem to find that i liked on the BB is the select all/previous and mark as read function. I have tried pressing keys on the keyboard (if only there was a ctrl+A function) and looking under every menu i can find. Does anyone have any idea as to how i could do this?
