I transferred my music onto my phone but im not getting any sound. i looked in my settings and everything looks fine volume wise just still no sound from my music player. any thought? Love the Droid though it the best phone Ive had yet and love all the FREE aps.

Back when I got my phone, I transfered an MP3 from the computer to the SD card and selected it as ringtone. it is still there and still works.....but now, after the OTA update, when I go into settings/phone ringtone this sound is not on the list. How do I get it back?
Also, under notifications, in the list of sounds the ones on my SD card are not there. I have a sound stored on the card that I would like to set as the notification. I mounted the card to my computer to verify that these files are indeed on the SD card. The phone just isn't seeing them in the list of available sounds...but, they do play if I go into MP3 or Music app.
Am I the only one who thinks the sound quality of the Eris SUCKS? No matter what player I use (stock player, TuneWiki, MixZing, DroidLive, Last, LastFM, Pandora (to a slightly lesser degree)), music comes out incredibly muddled, like I'm listening through pillows over my ears. True of any of 5 pairs of headphones I use (and I'm not about to go out and buy $100 headphones), including through my car adapter.

View 10 Replies View RelatedLiking the music sound quality (out of the 3.5mm) on your Droid X. Since I use my phone as my primary music playing device, SQ is critical. (I typically listen with super high quality in-ear monitors - Shure SE530;s.) I haven't had a chance yet to A/B with my iPhone 3G (which sounded pretty damn good!) but so far, I'm reasonably impressed with the DX audio.

I wonder if anyone else gets ticked off when you are listening to music, and interrupted with a notification. For those who never used an iphone, the music would fade a little, you'd get a short message tone, then volume would adjust back up.
The music player on the Droid just cuts off, beeps, and goes back to music. Another thing that would be awesome is, when the phones locked and playing music, you hold the home key and the music player pops up so you can forward, or whatever without unlocking, going to app, etc.
If I have music playing in the music app, and I do a "swipe-left" from the lock screen to turn "Sound Off", it doesn't mute the music. Is this the same for others? To me this seems like a bug.

I have the notification sound on and the volume is on high for the text messaging. The phone will vibrate when I receive a text however no sound will play.

I have a cheap no-name 3G phone using Android 4.1.1..I want to change the sound settings. When I originally bought the phone I set the ringtone etc but now I can't remember for the life of me how I did it because I can't find a setting for sound anywhere.
BUT no sound anywhere! All the 'audio profiles' does is literally change the audio profile..I have downloaded the 'Quick settings' app but all this does is toggle silent and vibrate off and on.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a none branded/unlocked Desire with firmware version 2.10.405.2, now, there used to be an option in older firmware versions, how old i can't remeber, to enable a sound notification for SD Card events, such as unmounting, mounting, etc, but this option seems to have been removed, at least on my phone, could someone please take a look through thier phone settings and confirm if this option is there, or not, i used to enable this option when connecting to the PC so i would know when the SD Card had unmounted/mounted.

Frequently I'll be in the car, and even when I have the Incredible plugged into my car stereo, it still puts music out through my Bluetooth connection and not the headphone jack. Under Bluetooth settings it says "Jabra Extreme Connected to phone and media audio", but there doesnt seem to be a way to say no no bad droid, phone only.
This seems to be the exact opposite problem all the posts I found searching had
Am I forgetting something? I used chompSMS to set custom notifications for specific people texting and it works. I used Ringdroid to assign custom ringtones to people and all that comes through is the default when they call.

There was a setting on the Blackberry while sleeping, the phone would be the only thing to ring or make nose. Email notifications, etc., would be silent. I got a headphone jack adapter, and when I plug it into my Touch Pro, it doesn't find it. I know I plugged it in correctly, but the sound keeps coming from the speaker instead of my earbuds. I'm wondering if there's a setting I need to change? Or if it's just not working.
