i just uninstalled Panda Home and iT asked me what did i want Home to open with .. I clicked on the Remember check box and.. wanted to hit orignal HTC scence home but clicked Home.. how can i change the seeting to go to Htc scence..

Everytime I go select it, it lets me check smart alarm, and pick the duration I want (5 mins) and then the sound I want (breeze) but it still plays the regular alarm melody everytime- even though I can physically see that smart alarm is checked. View 5 Replies View RelatedI was using the facebook app and clicked a youtube video link and decided to make youtube the default app to launch for this specific action. However, I later decided that I want it to launch the link in a browser (so I can read comments) instead of playing instantly after clicking the link.
I tried "Clear defaults" under settings>applications>manage applications but there is no settings for youtube. I tried to clear defaults for facebook and my browser, and tried reinstalling the facebook app but no luck.
A while ago I found a tip somewhere on how to get to some additional hidden android browser settings including how to change the user agent string so that the browser would identify itself as a desktop browser or iPhone browser while surfing. This setting is reset between sessions, I didn't use it frequently and eventually forgot how to go about making the change. Recently I had a need to access these hidden browser settings again and it took quite a long and frustrating search effort to finally locate this information which does not seem to be widely publicized. So, in an effort to save anyone else this trouble, I figured I would post the information on how to do this on a couple Android boards that I frequent and also include a few words that might be picked up as search terms for anyone else trying to find this info. The procedure is very simple. I currently have an HTC Sprint Hero running Android 1.5, so I'm not sure what other devices or builds this will work on..

View 2 Replies View RelatedBack when I got my phone, I transfered an MP3 from the computer to the SD card and selected it as ringtone. it is still there and still works.....but now, after the OTA update, when I go into settings/phone ringtone this sound is not on the list. How do I get it back?
Also, under notifications, in the list of sounds the ones on my SD card are not there. I have a sound stored on the card that I would like to set as the notification. I mounted the card to my computer to verify that these files are indeed on the SD card. The phone just isn't seeing them in the list of available sounds...but, they do play if I go into MP3 or Music app.
Is there a button/setting to get you back to your homepage? Other than creating a bookmark for it.
View 12 Replies View RelatedFYI, the slot cycle defines how often the device wakes up and checks the CDMA network for messages, incoming calls, etc. This does not effect the throughput of a data connection. It will only improve responsiveness for catching incoming calls and messages from the network.Each increment in settings doubles or haves the interval time. Slot cycle 0 wakes the device to check the paging channel every 1.28s. 1 is every 2.56, 2 is 5.12s, etc.Only thing you are doing is using more battery.any other observations are a placebo.
View 30 Replies View RelatedMy wife's stock 1.5 Eris got the 2.1 update the other day. Since then she cannot setup her speed dials. It goes through like it works, but there are still no speed dials in the list. I cleared cache and data from Dialer and the two People apps in the manager, but it hasn't resolved it. VZW support last night had me do a battery pull, but that also didn't help.
So other than the Factory Reset option, is there anything I can do? Are there any apps specific to Speed Dials? I'd like to avoid the reset at all costs, if possible.
Under Settings -> Date and Time, whenever I set a Date to a future or past number, it gets overridden by the Network/WiFi. I've made sure that I've unchecked the Automatic option. Anyone have any ideas why this is?
When I turn off my Network(3G) and WiFi, I'm able to set the Date to whatever I want without it getting reset like 2 seconds later.
Is this possible?

On my secondary gmail account (not the one the Eris is set up with, but another one that I set up in K9) the font size in the message is so tiny I can't see it. I've searched the options over and over to find a setting to increase the font size, but apparently I can't find it. Would any of you happen to know where it is?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI know that this is sort of stupid thing not to know, but how do you actually set up the link between the Eris and the desktop when using Wireless Tether? I went through the Wireless network Setup and I even went through Network Setup Wizard and Network Connections and still haven't been able to figure out how to actually initiate wireless tetherthing through wi-fi. I'm sure that it's something bonehead that I haven't considered. The only time I've set up networks is with the help of ISP tech support or the ISP setup CD.
