Just wanted to post on here that I was able to play a .wmv file on my Droid Eris today.
I am running the 2.1 leak from a few weeks ago.
Anyone else able to do this? Just curious and looking to spread good cheer.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've created multiple sub calendars within my standard gmail calendar account to managed my kids calendars. Doesn't look as though these calendars will come over to my Eris running 1.6. Is that correct? Any work around or am I missing something?
In the calendar option on the phone I see:
My calendar
My work gmail calendar
Outlook
I went to use my Eris as a music player for the first time. I plugged in my headphones and tested it out by playing a song. The song plays loud and clear through the headphones, but also plays loud and clear through the phone speaker/earpiece. I could not figure out why it would not just play through the headphones. (I have tried a pair of apple earbuds, as well as basic Sony ones).

I just downloaded this Android System Information free from teh Market, and I thought I'd let you guys know about it. It's pretty damn awesome. It basically tells you everything you wanna know about your phone including every spec, every task running and how much CPU it is eaiting in real time, it has logs and everything. I highly recommend getting this app.

I have already gotten a gmail account. I also got an application on the Eris that was called "Export Contacts" which seems to export my contacts from the phone into a .cvs file which I think is saved on the SD card.
Now, how do I get get that .CVS file from the old phone to go into gmail??? If I could do that, then maybe I could get the contacts from the gmail into my new phone.
How do I do this?

The only way I can see to do this is either: decrypt the file to internal private storage and point the player at that file to play, or decrypt & decode the file to pcm and feed it to an AudioTrack. 1 isn't great because it takes a long time to do that. 2 isn't great either because I don't know how I can take advantage of the HW decoder to do this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I've heard a lot about it, so i decided to flash it and it wont let me press the android after it's been loaded. The android will flash white on screen, but wont let me proceed with setting up the phone. I wiped and flashed again, and it's doing the same thing. Anyone know the cause of this? So to get me through today i re-flashed Froyo v30 and its running slow as hell, the browser moves incredibly slow and the menus are leggy too. I've flashed it before and had a great experience so i was just wondering if anybody knew what was going on.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIve noticed now, that after about a week with my Droid Eris, although a love it, it seems to be running much slower than when I bought it. I just created this thread for people to add anything that might help the Eris run as quickly as possible.
1. power phone completely off every couple of days.
2. advanced task manager seems to help
3. clear browser cache!!! - this helped me immensely. Settings>Applications>Manage Apps> then find your browser and clear the cache. do this with other large apps.
