I just downloaded this Android System Information free from teh Market, and I thought I'd let you guys know about it. It's pretty damn awesome. It basically tells you everything you wanna know about your phone including every spec, every task running and how much CPU it is eaiting in real time, it has logs and everything. I highly recommend getting this app.

View 10 Replies View RelatedAfter a round of hassle (many thanks to sontaikle), finally i managed to do some screen capture from my Android but right now I am thinking about this. Is there any way I can do a REAL TIME phone simulation on my PC. Its alike TV output from phone to projector (Galaxy S can do that) but I have other Android which have no TV output function from the phone, so I wonder if I connect the phone to PC and get the real time screen output (few second lagging is ok for me as well) to PC than I can project it out via projector during discussion, presentation. I have tried this Emulator, too bad its doesn't project that on the phone on PC. How to install Android SDK and play with Android 2.0 in the emulator - Android and Me

I have installed a few apps (google voice, notepad, swype) it shrank by 1 Mb (only) After the nightly profilactic battery pull for 1 minute I rebooted the phone and now I have 120 Mb. Where did the 10Mb go?
View 6 Replies View RelatedJust received my replacement Eris on Friday the new one already has the 50% without signal bug and has frozen up on me today several times.The battery is discharging at an ultra high rate and my Up time is 4:04 while my awake time is 3:58 as you can see not much difference between the two.I have killed all of the apps I can see in running apps and services.What could the problem be?I am a newbie.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince receiving the 2.1 OTA it seems that the camera is not closing properly after exiting. I first noticed this after I received the OTA update and just assumed I needed to do a factory reset, which i did yesterday.I checked it again this morning, took a pic, waited an hour and a half, and voila it's still eating battery at a prodigious rate as compared to other apps and systems currently consuming battery. The only thing I've found that works to date is rebooting the phone.Any ideas? anyone else experiencing this? My 1.5 ran beautifully and 2.1 is too, (I'm in the Frisco camp) with the exception of this camera glitch.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHTC Sensation 4g which I love--but for just 1 gig of internal software, some of which is obliterated by bloatware...I keep clearing the overall cache and uninstalling apps, and every time I look up---space is disappearing again. No matter how much I seem to clear, it gets used by something.
At this point there isn't a whole l_ot left I can clear. I've moved everything I can to the card. The apps left on the phone that I control (the HTC bloat ware can't be uninstalled) are coming down to ones I want to keep.My theory is that it is three things largely eating up space: Facebook, G+ and/or gmail's contacts.
Now, all 3 apps I like and use, but in any event I must have Gmail and contact; it is highly desirable to have FB, and I really can't uninstall FB or G+ anyway with the HTC sense configuration. When I clear the cache of G+ and FB, I usually recover quite a bit of space--and then it's gone again once I use it.
So, is there anyway to limit how much data Fb/COntacts/ G+ download to my phone?
I know this was talked about before at different times but I still have 3 questions.
1. what is the difference between a task killer and a task manager?
2. should we be using one of these apps or not?
3. when you look at the awake time if it is like 70% or 80% and you aren't using the phone a bunch I take it that means something is running,how can you find what is running.and is the awake time that big of deal?
I have just recieved a notification a few days ago saying the phone storage space is getting low. I don't understand why this notification has come up. I cleared all of the cache from the applications and it still remains. I have a decent amount of apps downloaded but I used to have a lot more downloaded and never had this problem before.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I am running an older version IC3ROM (4+ months old). When I left, Froyo was a buzz word, and leak rooting was a dream rumored to never happen. Is it time to upgrade to something new? I can't really complain about IC3ROM, as with Launcher Pro, it has been great. I don't particularly like the idea of starting over, but if there's something out there worth it, I'd give it a go. Opinions? I don't really care about Verizon's interface as I always replace it with launcher pro, but performance and stability is #1 concern.

When I charged it and turned it back on this morning I went into task killer to clear out all the apps that turn on automatically and then I hit home. Whenever I did this before, it took me back to the home page, no problem. Now I get a black page with HTC on it and then it resets the home page and I lose my weather. Eventually, it comes back, but why all the sudden am I getting the black HTC screen?

View 5 Replies View RelatedIve had my evo since day one.Absolutely love it.It's just that within the last month it's been taking awhile to open anything.If I click on mail it seems as though it stalls for awhile, then "loading" screen then it opens.Same thing with the messenger to check my text.Again with the loading screen which stays open longer than it use to. Ive tried to reboot here and there but it doesn't seem to make any difference.I just miss the way my phone use to run and open everything up so quickly.Im not complaining, if this is normal than o.k.I can wait a few more seconds.Is it that I have too many apps.Ive used up most of my space on my sd card, is that it?I have my phone stock.Is it time to root and will this solve my problem?

I finally received my Eris today. So... I rushed home, plugged the phone into the wall, and did the activation. (This was about four hours ago.) My phone has yet to be charged. By far... this has taken way more than any of my other pones. (Then again, this is my first Smart phone.) So... how long does it usually take for the phone to charge?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI notice that when I open Advanced Task Killer I see all kinds of apps I never started up and ran, even if I kill them, the next time I open ATK, after the phone goes to sleep or I go off to something else and come back, there some of them are again.Alarm Clock - and this has an icon (red bell) next to it that is NOT the Alarm Clock apps icon (white face clock) that comes on the phone so kind of curious what the heck it is?Corporate Calendar never use this, never use an Exchange server, don't want it to run.
View 11 Replies View RelatedOk I've read a gazillion threads on battery life and 2.1 etc etc and you have me all waiting anxiously for an update and bigger batteries but what about actual talk time on the phone? didn't see any threads about that. Its not uncommon for my phone to be a toy all week then on the weekend catch up with some buds or family or whatever and yak on the thing for 2 hours straight. Will it hold? I know my old razer with an ext batt would go 4 hours talk time easy, glimmer would do 2.5 hrs easy with stock battery sometimes more. Pearl did well, haven't really talked the Storm out cause its my work phone and I tend to shun that thing on the weekends ....so let me know how long you've talked on it! Battery life does seem to stink but I can't put the damn thing down so I'm sure that has something to do with it and all my other smartphones sucked battery wise too the first week or so, so I'm not passing judgment yet, just want to know how long i can talk on the thing before it dies....I will do my own testing soon but would like some ideas.
