Anyway, can I delete the 2.1 file off my SD card once it's installed on my phone? If so, what's the easiest way to do that.

I have tons of Apps that I don't use or even want on my phone. They all came with the phone and it won't let me uninstall them. How can I get rid of them? Are they slowing my phone down? (Stuff like Footprints, Youtube, Also, what is the cheapest way to upgrade to a better phone? I have Verizon and renewed my contract about 6 months ago so I don't have the early upgrade option yet. Will I have to buy a new phone at full price?

I have Astro file manager and when I use it to look at all the folders on the SD card, I don't see any folder that remotely looks like it would be the one. I have opened up all folders that I don't know what's in them and I don't see the apps. Unless I'm missing something. Has anyone figured the name of the folder containing these SD card installed apps?

Also, when in PDF viewer, I noticed a couple of other files such as the quick start guide. I can only assume that they come as standard on the card? View 3 Replies View RelatedJust downloaded a file manager (two, actually - deciding which one I like best), but in accessing my SD card, I notices a bunch of folders with nothing in them. I'm wondering if this is possibly due to when I switched from my Motorola Droid, they allowed me to take that 16 gb card and put it in my Eris since I had some downloads and photos on it (and, yes, I had to buy a replacement 16 gb card for the Droid, so now I have an extra 8 gig card just laying around doing nothing). So I was wondering, does anyone else have these files? Are they safe to delete? Should I delete them or just leave them? Here is the "tree." I've indented sub folders five spaces and put in parenthesis if the folder/subfolder contains any files/info.

I'm trying to transfer a 5gb file onto my Eris. The SD card is mounted, and it shows that 7gb is free. I am able to copy over a 1gb file to and from, but when I try the 5gb file, I receive the following message:The disk in the destination drive is full. Insert a new disk to continue. Retry Cancel.If I click Retry, I get the following:
Cannot copy (filename): there is not enough free disk space. What's the deal? Anyone know how to get this to work?
How do you copy files to the SD card? When I look in the Mobile Devices folder, it won't allow me to copy any files. When I click on Removable Disk, it asks for a disk.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have tried a lot of custom Roms. I'm on Neat ROM Lite now. Not sure which ROM changed my file access permission settings to cause this problem but I'm not able to delete any files from my external memory card. I was able to delete when I was on stock rom. The other problem is for a few apps I get an error message which says can't install on usb/sd card. I have posted this in another thread some time back but got no response.
This is what my file permission looks like.
I am able to delete when my fone is connected to PC via USB. So I don't think it has anything to do with a faulty sd card.
I have an HTC Droid Eris with Verizon. It came installed with several apps that not only do I not use, but that in some cases start automatically. These include Amazon MP3, Footprints, Google Talk, Teeter, and YouTube. I would like to uninstall them, but I am not given that option (like I am for third-party apps) when I go into "Manage applications" in Settings. Is there another way of removing them from my phone?

I can not boot because I've wiped the phone (dalvik, system, data, internal storage, cache), and I suspect the ROM I have is corrupted but I can't connect it to my computer and transfer the file via USB because I have no ROM installed and can not boot. I also can't take the SD card (since there's non) and put the file that way. My phone is Oppo find 5
My root file flashing was successful, but installation of the ROM cm-11-20140204-NIGHTLY has failed. I assume the file was corrupted, but I have no way to find out what it is. I now realize my mistakes, like wiping the system unnecessarily.Is there any way to get another file on the device?

First post here. Been reading for a few weeks and just got my Eris on Sunday. I tried a search for the answer to this question, but came up empty. It probably has been answered before and I just can't find it. Does anyone know the correct way to delete out any scenes that you have saved on the phone? I got over anxious right away with it and ended up having 4 saved scenes on top of the 6 from HTC that are already there. I would like to have just 2 extra ones total and be able to delete out 2 of them. That would give me basically the 6 HTC scenes and then a USer1 and USer 2 type of thing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I just installed Easy Root because I was so disappointed with the new OTA update I just had to do something...So a few questions that I have are what are some must have apps to have with having a rooted Droid 1. Not much seems to be different, I am still having lag time from loading up my icons when I go back to home which was originally my main problem with the update. I have so far just downloaded Rom Manager, Wireless Tether, and Set CPU which is set at 600 mhz Max and 125 Mhz, is that alright? My last question is how do I delete the pre installed apps? I have already gotten a gmail account. I also got an application on the Eris that was called "Export Contacts" which seems to export my contacts from the phone into a .cvs file which I think is saved on the SD card.
Now, how do I get get that .CVS file from the old phone to go into gmail??? If I could do that, then maybe I could get the contacts from the gmail into my new phone.
How do I do this?

I want to use my Eris as a wireless adapter to link my Home wi-fi network to my PC. Not use the cellular network. I know PDANet will allow me to use it as a modem but am unsure if it will let me use Wi-Fi the same way.
