Anyone else having problems viewing videos on youtube after the update?It was working fine before the update and now i can't view 99% of the videos i try to view on youtube.what's even worse is that the videos i CAN view won't work when i try to switch to the HD mode?how do I fix this?

When I get an MMS video I am unable to view/play the video. I had no issues on phones I have had in the past. I am stumped.

View 3 Replies View RelatedEver since my update I get a message that I the phone cannot play the video. Some play in low quality but when you try high quality it says it can't play it. I just go to the music category and most of the top videos I no longer can view. Did they change something with the update to prevent youtube videos from playing. A very low percentage play.
I'm using the youtube app on the menu.
First off I would like to apologize to all the kittens, but I was just curious. Will the update make it possible to watch videos on websites like cnn or cubs.com. They all say phone cannot play videos. Thank you and once again sorry kitties.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to the category section of Youtube, it'll only show a limited number of videos. THe previous versions used to let you browse an unlimited number of videos as long as you load more. I'm also no longer able to sort by most viewed for the week/day, most discussed, etc...
The app does look nice though but in order for me to access those old features, I go to the mobile website version, which isn't that great.
I know that I can watch video podcasts in portrait view on the ipod touch.Granted I'll watch all my TV shows in landscape but for when I just want to watch a quick clip I hope this is possible.Do you know if it is even an option with the DROID?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just updated to version 2.1 and noticed my push Gmail wasnt working. I then went into the Google Mail application and can see its not showing any emails in the inbox and its not downloading any mail in "All items" either. Its only showing emails prior to the update. If I hit refresh it spins for a few moments and I see the data arrows indicate transfer but it doesnt refresh the inbox.
View 5 Replies View RelatedNo major issues, but my startup screen does seem to take a LOT longer before the phone actually loads, and once it does none of my buttons/widgets appear for another 5-10 seconds. Additionally, once in a while when exiting a program none of the buttons are on the home screen for 3-5 seconds, and sometimes a Force Close error pertaining to the home activity will pop up ... anyone else experience anything similar, or even just notice a longer boot time?

I can no longer download my photos and videos to my pc. the pc no longer lists it on my cumputer when I plug it in. I do however hear the appropriate sounds it makes when I plug it into my usb.( hardware insert.wav and hardware remove.wav)

They have a strike through line on them. I need the social networking.apk and motoblur contacts sync apk. Can somebody up loaf or let me know how to restore them. I'm thinking about sbf'or will a factory data reset be ok?

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy Eris has been working fine with the screen timeout. It is set to go off at 1 minute. But since last night, it's only dimming the screen now. It will not turn off unless I press the end call button. It hasn't been doing that, so I'm not sure what's going on.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI checked to see if I have the cell standby 50% bug and I do. My up time is 11:34:50, my awake time is 3:47:48, but if I look at the cell standby it says time on 14:42:16. How can the cell standby thing be a longer time than my phone has been on? I did the leak 2 days ago, so it's not showing that time or anything.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Eris is just no longer working as a phone. The only place I get good signal strength is at the Verizon store. I think the radio is dying because the other 3 Eris droids in my house (wife and 2 kids) all show 15 - 20 dB higher (less negative) signal strength.
I went to VZW store for some help and all they could do was #228 option 1 and *228 option 2 and recommend that I get a task killer app and use it 3 times a day.
So, anybody know how to get past the sales side and get to somebody that can determine if the phone is broke?
Data and apps all work fine, I get 3G everywhere, and it's rooted (so is the wife's) using XTRROM 4.2(me) XTRSense 4.2 (wife) - kids not rooted.
I installed MR2 a few days ago rather than waiting on the OTA update. Now I can't download a couple paid apps from the Market that I had previously paid for. WeatherBug Elite is one of them, it doesn't even show up when I do a search in the Market.
Some searching turned up a similar issue on other HTC devices on another carrier, something about an OS foot print? Is there a way to get around this? It's pretty obnoxious.
Is anyone else having an issue playing videos after the froyo update? I used Koush's zip and clockwork to upgrade. This is the only issue I have found so far.

Usually this was just intermittent, and a restart would cure it.On June 10, it was happening, and persisted despite restarts, battery pulls, etc. I finally found that the problem was google trying to sync contacts. It was having some problem and cycling forever. When I unchecked the google contacts sync in the accounts preference panel, problem stopped. My battery life has never been better. Routinely getting 18-20 hrs or more.BUT I want to sync my google contacts! Every time I trial re-checking that box, it cycles and cycles, every few seconds giving a little error at the bottome of the screen (in prefs) "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly".I have 700-something contacts (Only 250 real "My Contacts" but another 500 or so auto-created contacts from gmail use.Presumably one of those entries has some corruption, but I can't figure out which, and I don't want to potentially lose all the contacts.I have seen that for some people this was fixed by factory reset and resync, but then the problem came back a few weeks later.
What type of videos will the Eris play? MP4, Mpeg4.I tried putting both on my phone and neither would play with the stock app. One had sound with no picture, the other had a picture that just stuck. I'm trying to put a movie on my phone so that I'll have something to do when I'm travelling.

Including Custom component causes it to be hidden behind main viewI can still click the buttons and they respond (i.e. if I click in the corner where the button should be, it still works), but I cannot see the buttons or bar onto which they were drawn. I cannot find very good documentation on how Include is supposed to work, so perhaps I am using it incorrectly.
