What type of videos will the Eris play? MP4, Mpeg4.I tried putting both on my phone and neither would play with the stock app. One had sound with no picture, the other had a picture that just stuck. I'm trying to put a movie on my phone so that I'll have something to do when I'm travelling.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday my phone was working fine. No problems at all. But for some reason when I woke up this morning it started acting up. First, my phone would just freeze on me for awhile and then unfreeze like nothing happened. Second, my screen turned completely black twice for no apparent reason. And third, I can't even type using Swype or the stock keyboard anymore! It's either I can type but it won't show.. or I just can't type anything at all as if it's stuck.

The only way that I have been able to get it to work is by restarting the phone. Is there another way to fix this?

When I try to watch them using my droid eris, I get a message that says this content can't play on this device.I have been able to watch YouTube videos but not the Hulu or AdultSwimFix ones.Does anyone know what I need to do to be able to watch these videos?Is there an app I need to get or a setting I need to change?
View 8 Replies View RelatedGot a HTC Droid Eris the other day and absolutely love it.However, when adding a new contact on the phone, the drop bown menu box only lists "Phone" and does NOT give a "Google" or "Exchange" option as is indicated on p. 72 of the pdf "User Guide for Droid HTC Eris" by Verizon. I have examined 3 others Droid Eris phones of friends/family, and on each of their phones when adding a new contact the drop down menu box does list the "Google" option in addition to the "Phone" option.The problem with not being able to select "Google" as the contact type is that the contact information does not "sync" with the Gmail "Contacts List" online.

My first problem is that my swype is not working right anymore. It will let me type, but it will not let me swype. It says that this was configured for a previous version or something. My second problem is that my weather app force closes all the time. Is there I fix for that also?

It also navigates itself away from web pages and I think the constant left motion of the cursor makes the phone run slowly. I cant look at maps either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my old SD card from my previous phone i had videos of my son and when i put that SD card into my Eris the videos play but don't have audio.. my levels on ringer and media are all the way up but still no sound.. I then changed from my old SD card that was 512mb to the 8 GB that came with the phone and still no luck.. i can play the videos on my computer through the SD card but they don't through my phone.. can someone please help? I have some very priceless moments of him since birth to now and he's about to turn 2.

After recording the video, Facebook is not one of the options that is presented to me when I click share. When I try YouTube, I get an error message that the video is too large. My only option is to e-mail it to myself, then go to my computer and upload from there. Not really what I'm looking for.
I believe there's an app called Qik or something like that which my do this but I'm not sure?
When I download like a 50 sec video it will play about the first 3 secs and then all I hear is sound. Is there an app that fixes this or can I change something on my phone to make it work?
View 2 Replies View Relatedi notice when i try to use my phone's "flash player capabilities" that it works like chit. for instance, it won't play videos streamed on justin.tv. and today i tried to go to kings of leon's website so i could listen to their new album from my phone (Kings of Leon | Come Around Sundown) but it failed to work again. i can see all the songs, click on the buttons, even track forward in the songs, but NO SOUND and the songs remain on pause and won't play. is there an update or some kind of APP i can install to where i can actually get some benefit from the flash player.

I just go to the music category and most of the top videos I no longer can view. Did they change something with the update to prevent youtube videos from playing. A very low percentage play.

I figure maybe it's a Flash problem, but I can't seem to play ANY YouTube videos on my Eris. The error I always get is something about the video not being found. This is a new Eris, got it about 2 weeks ago so I am assuming it's got the most current ROM. Does anyone know how I can get YouTube to work while on the cellular network and not WiFi?
