I have a old motorola g3 phone (however it is for verizon ). I can no longer download my photos and videos to my pc. the pc no longer lists it on my cumputer when I plug it in. I do however hear the appropriate sounds it makes when I plug it into my usb.( hardware insert.wav and hardware remove.wav)

Randomly, usually a day after I take a photo or shoot a movie, the files in my gallery get broken, and I can't access them. They work just fine directly after I take them, but after some time they are unaccessible. My phone gallery looks like this: Some photos/videos work, others don't. After downloading them to my computer Windows can't read them either. Is anyone familiar with this problem? What can I do? SD card - 32GB, formatted in the phone.

I connected my phone to my pc via USB and noticed that my phone storage was pretty full so I decided it would be a great idea to transfer the DCIM folder from my phone storage into my card storage..my camera photos are no where to be seen!
View 16 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to the category section of Youtube, it'll only show a limited number of videos. THe previous versions used to let you browse an unlimited number of videos as long as you load more. I'm also no longer able to sort by most viewed for the week/day, most discussed, etc...
The app does look nice though but in order for me to access those old features, I go to the mobile website version, which isn't that great.
Up until November 2011 I had an older model Motorola Droid X. I was able to take photos using the phone camera and those photos would automatically sync with my Google accounts and could be accessed by Google+, Blogger, etc. All was well and I was happy.
In November 2011, I fried my Droid X when I spilled Gatorade on it and it was immediately replaced with a HTC Droid Incredible 2. I just downloaded Google+ (over six months after replacement) and the photos that I take NOW, sync just fine. But the photos that I took during the last 6-months did not synch up with my Google accounts.
Is there any way to synch the photos taken during the 6-month period that I did not have Google+ installed to be included in the Instant Upload?

So I recently got a Droid X which I love, but I am having a really tough time emailing photos and videos. I'm looking for something that will automatically shrink photo's when I want to email them. The iPhone does this automatically. I am constantly sending pics of my kids to my parents but at 2.5 MB per pic it take WAY too long to send (if the email client even allows it). I am aware that I can resize each and every photo and THEN send them, but that seems very time consuming and unnecessary. Is there anything that will automatically shrink photo's when I attempt to email multiple pics?
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust got my Droid 2 FedEx today, and am getting her all set up. I was using an LG Dare before. I had an micro 2GB card that had all my pictures, music, videos and contact photos (picture ID pictures).
It was easy going from an old Verizon phone to another old Verizon phone because the file structure was the same for all the SD formatted cards (MY_PIX, MY_FLIX, etc...).
In looking at the 8GB card that came w/ the Droid 2, there seems to be no such structure. There are directories, (.android_secure, Android, logs, and LOST.DIR) but I am not sure where to put my videos, pictures, etc. Any thoughts?
So I've went into the /data/data/com.snapchat.android/ folder, and it is only about 200KB, so the image/video files can't be stored there.
I also noticed if you have a new message, and you close and open the app, it will have to redownload it. So it seems that snapchat is storing the images in the RAM.
So I dumped the ram of my snapchat PID, using this method. I had to download a compiled gdb binary.
I then used photoRec to scan all the *.dump files [I concatenated them all first, the file was about 100MB]. For filesystem I said "Other."
All I got was one txt file. It seemed to be xml, and contained a lot of usernames of my friends, but that's all.
I recently used the USB to charge my phone on the laptop.Next time i went to look in my gallery most of my pics and videos are gone. i also can't find a folder on my computer that contains them. are they gone forever or is there a way to retrieve them?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI finally was able to unlock my Cliq from the T-mobile network to the At&t network, and I can now make calls and text, but all of the sudden I can no longer access the market for apps. It keeps telling me that my password is invalid (which I am 100% sure it is not). Also, every few minutes, I am recieving a text that says "122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. 0605040710000041637469766174653A64743D36", but I haven't even sent any text messages.. It started doing that right after I sucessfully unlocked the phone.

I have too many pictures strewn across too many devices. I need to look into a solution that allows me to access all my photos from one central point on my computer and my smartphone. Can I only realistically look at services like Google drive, Dropbox, etc. or are there other solutions that specialize only in photos that would make things easier (e.g., I've thought about uploading more photos to Picasa web albums and using that as a clearinghouse for my photos/videos.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have lost a few pdfs which I have been reading for weeks (!) on my Nexus 7 (Android 4.3). Via the reading history of my pdf reader (Moon+ reader) I can see that at least one file is still present in the cache under the following folder address: /data/data/com.google.android.apps.docs/cache/filecache2/c042587322c4a438463efbd2cc533cbf/mypdf1.pdf
How can I access this folder? When accessing the device via the Android File Transfer sofware for Mac, I don't see this folder. I have access to Android/data/com.google.android.apps.docs/files, but this folder contains no files but only another folder (called "pinned_doc_files_not_for_edit") which is also empty.
The lost pdf is still there, I can open it in the reader via the reading history, but I would like to access the folder to see whether other lost files (which are not in the reading history) are also still present. To be clear, the file which I can open is also not detected when searching the device for pdfs.
My Incredible will no longer set photos as wallpaper. It goes through the motions of saving and setting but keeps only showing the default.wallpaper.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Sony Xperia has taken it upon itself, along with facebook to download a lot of photos from facebook "friends"- most of whom are friends of friends of friends(etc). I want to delete them, but cant find out where they are saved. When I try to delete them from my album, it will give me the option of deleting any foto I WANT that I've put on, but not the BLOAT rubbish of people/places/brick walls etc that I dont want. I've now disabled Fbook to stop any more.

Besides TubeMate, is there any Android app (or any method on Android) to download youtube videos AUTOMATICALLY? I want to have the videos download while I sleep so it is available to me when I wake up and get ready. Right now I manually download some videos using TubeMate (when I remember).
I did have another setup using "youtube-dl" program on linux and setting up a cron job to download the latest video from a channel. I would then upload this to dropbox and then redownload it on my Android using FolderSync app.
Any better way to auto download new videos from youtube channels. I have a Galaxy S3.
