I dnt know if this was mentioned but u can save pix from default txts app. You have to watch where u place ur finger. Don't press and hold on the picture attachment, press and hold on the whole message. You will see that the message and the attachment will highlight green and a screen will pop up.

I just got my first text with a picture since getting this phone last week. In the message, it says "slideshow" and when I click on the "picture", it gives me three icons at the bottom. The far right icon allows me to "save" the picture, but I don't know where it's saving it to, if at all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI can not send pictures via text message with the stock message app, Handcent, or Chomp. I had been using Handcent for the past 2 1/2 months or so just fine, it would send pics. Then all of a sudden about a week ago it just stopped. It just kept showing the turning green circle over and over until the sending failed. I updated it, I uninstalled it, I reinstalled it. I tried Chomp. I tried the stock app. None of them will send a pic to another phone or to an email. I can send pics to facebook with the facebook app. The stock email app will send an email with a pic attached however.

I cant figure out how to save a pic that is sent to me via text. I can click the pic, and it opens full screen, but I cant find a way to save the object or save the pic or file or anything... Is this no longer an option with the Droid X??
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my x a few days ago and have never had a smartphone (i'm coming from the Dare)...i was trying to send a picture in a text message today, and it sent it horizontal... i took the picture vertically...and when i attached it to my text message it sent it sideways. so i rotated the picture 90 degrees and sent it, and it was still sideways.... anyone know how to fix this? i take most of my pics vertically...and i don't want them posting to facebook or sent to my fam sideways!

I can't save nothing on it, and when I installed this app Astro, a file manager, I still couldn't do nothing with it. My apps are saved to my phone, and the pictures I take with my phone and the videos are also saved into my phone. Only songs are saved into my SD card. Am I doing something wrong? or is the Micro SD card only made for songs, and not the pictures and the videos and the apps? I have an app to back up my information called m:IQ, and there it says I used up 46% phone memory, and only 2% of the Storage card. So can anybody tell me what's wrong exactly?

PROBLEM: The pics I take WITH the phone camera just go somewhere IN the phone - NOT to my SD card. I can't find any option in the pics to "save to SD card" or anything like that. I had the phone updated the other day and it wiped all the pics I had taken with the phone - but not the SD ones. Now I have more photos and no way to save them to the SD card?

View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to send a picture in a text message, it tries to convert it to a slideshow. Is there any way to turn this off? Whenever I try sending one picture as a slideshow, the recipient (even if they have a similar Verizon phone, like the Droid) can't see it. It never used to do that, but I don't see a setting that will allow me to just send the picture without making it a slideshow.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have facebook synced up to my contacts so that their fb pics can also be their contact photo, except they only show up half the time. is anyone else having this problem? it was sorta annoying before but now it's really bothering me because I just DL'd the handcent update and now they have the contact pics next to the chat bubble. View 3 Replies View RelatedWell, because no one has any idea how to change from the phone symbol to the index card symbol on the large "people" icons I found another way to do what I want.
I still can't believe nobody knows how to fix that problem but oh well.
Anyway, I found that you can add a people shortcut which adds a small face icon and made my own people page.
It works great. When you tap it it brings up all of the persons info and allows you to choose what action you want.
Just like the large default people icons *IF* you could change to the index card symbol.
Now, the ONLY problem is, I can't get the persons picture to show up on the main page instead of the silhouette pic.
I am synced with google so all my contacts have pics and they DO show up in the info when you tap on the icon but NOT on the main page icon.
I just want to add the pic to the home page icon, any ideas how to to do it ?
