I have facebook synced up to my contacts so that their fb pics can also be their contact photo, except they only show up half the time. is anyone else having this problem? it was sorta annoying before but now it's really bothering me because I just DL'd the handcent update and now they have the contact pics next to the chat bubble. Is there anyway to keep the pics on there at all times or any reason they go away?

Well, because no one has any idea how to change from the phone symbol to the index card symbol on the large "people" icons I found another way to do what I want.
I still can't believe nobody knows how to fix that problem but oh well.
Anyway, I found that you can add a people shortcut which adds a small face icon and made my own people page.
It works great. When you tap it it brings up all of the persons info and allows you to choose what action you want.
Just like the large default people icons *IF* you could change to the index card symbol.
Now, the ONLY problem is, I can't get the persons picture to show up on the main page instead of the silhouette pic.
I am synced with google so all my contacts have pics and they DO show up in the info when you tap on the icon but NOT on the main page icon.
I just want to add the pic to the home page icon, any ideas how to to do it ?
Two problems, first is I want to add the large widgets for phone contacts like the default settings which I removed on accident. I now have the small people links. Second, is there a way to add pics for the people widgets without using the facebook pics ?

Now after the OTA update, the links are all but not there. I have two people, me included whose Facebook profile picture still shows. When I go to re-link someone, I no longer get my full list of Facebook Friends to link their profile to.

It has the best facebook app on its homepage and IMO it is way superior to any out there.The browsing is super fast and you have the ability to download videos from your favorite sites to your sd card. Probably my favorite app side from personal assistant.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had the Eris for 3 days now and I mostly get the hang of it. I'm running 2.1 (newest build).
Last night I linked all the contacts in "people" with Facebook (for people that are on FB). When I press "phone" now it lists nearly all my facebook friends. I did not add them. How did this happen? Oddly it did not do all of them. It stopped half way through the Ts. As much as I like all my "friends" there are least 200 of them I do not want listed on my "phone" list. How can I remove them from the phone list? There does not appear to be any way to delete them. When I do the "people" program they are not listed there. Is there anyway to remove these friends from the phone list and if I do will the phone try to put them back there?
Is there any way to have multiple phone numbers for the same person in favorites? I want to have my wife with her cell number and her work number there. It appears that I can only have her once in favorites with one number. It would also work if I could select which number when I pressed her button. It does not look like this is possible. Any ideas?
Alright, so I'm pretty terrible with birthdays and other important dates so I started adding some of them to the calender. Suddenly I thought to myself, "Hey is there a way I can do birthdays, anniversaries etc from my people contacts and facebook and link them in one shot to my calender." Is this possible? Is it possible to have it send daily reminders as the date approaches? I see the option to send a reminder a day to a week in advance but does it send out reminder every day from the reminder point to the day of the event?

I used to be able to upload a mobile pic directly to Facebook and it would show on my wall/in my friends' feeds. Lately, my pics go directly to my "Mobile Pics" album, and do not show on my wall unless I publish the entire album again. I've checked my Facebook settings, and everything is set to 'Publish Content to my Wall", but my mobile pics continue to get uploaded directly to the album and do not publish. Anyone else having trouble with this? I'm not sure if it's a problem with the phone, the FB app, or my Facebook settings.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have all of my contacts linked to their respective facebook accounts, but the pictures that show up when I go to my People never update with the facebook pictures, they have stayed the same since the day I linked the two regardless of how many times the person has changed their default picture since then. Is there any way for me to change this so the pictures in my People update with facebook? Since they are linked I assume they should be able to do this.

I removed some bloatware using TB and removed the apk responsible for updating my facebook contacts profile pics. I notice this yesterday as my wife had changed her profile pic and status they have not updated in my contacts. This has been going on since the night I 2.2 it and rooted and removed the bloatware. Does any body know the apk (system app) that needs to be re-installed. I have downloaded the system apps.rar file and have all of them, I just don't know which one it is.
When I purchased my droid a month ago, all the pics on facebook for the live/news feed were showing up perfectly. About 2 weeks ago, none of the pictures display. They only have a "x" next to the update. At the bottom of my profile page, there is an option that shows: Photos: Off - On - Max. The setting is set to On.
Anybody remember how to get the FB Profile pics back in your contacts/people list?

They have a strike through line on them. I need the social networking.apk and motoblur contacts sync apk. Can somebody up loaf or let me know how to restore them. Anyways, I was toolin around in Accounts & Sync under Settings. Right now, the accounts I have set up are Google, Weather, and Facebook for HTC Sense. When I click Add an Account, there's something called just "Facebook," in addition to the "Facebook for HTC Sense."I've always known there were two Facebook apps (or whatever you wanna call them) on my phone, cause when I want to share a pic I take, I can do it using either "Facebook" or "Facebook for HTC Sense." I always share the picture using "Facebook" because it allows me to post a comment as well.Anyways, getting back to Accounts & Sync, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on how these two apps differ. Maybe if I choose to sync the "Facebook" account as opposed to "Facebook for HTC Sense," that could solve some of these issues we're all having? I have no idea, but I'm hesitant to do anything for fear of clogging up my phone's contact list with Facebook friends.

View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to send a picture in a text message, it tries to convert it to a slideshow. Is there any way to turn this off? Whenever I try sending one picture as a slideshow, the recipient (even if they have a similar Verizon phone, like the Droid) can't see it. It never used to do that, but I don't see a setting that will allow me to just send the picture without making it a slideshow.

Don't press and hold on the picture attachment, press and hold on the whole message. You will see that the message and the attachment will highlight green and a screen will pop up.
