Dec 12, 2009For those who had VZ before your Eris, you'll remember "Get it Now" or whatever it was for buying ringtones, etc. Is there a similar way to get ringtones for the Eris?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently Purchased a HTC Droid Eris and was wondering if anyone could help me with adding ringtones, wallpaper and music to my phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Nonsensikal ROM installed on this Eris and occasionally make my own mp3 ringtones. But they never show up in the default list of available ringtones. Is this by Eris design?I know how to add a custom ringtone but was just curious as to why I cant include it in the default listing area rather than having to go to my music gallery.
View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing handcent and/or the stock client, when I receive an attached ringtone as do 'save MMS' on the sd card it is stored as qcp and not the native mp3 format the user sent.
Any ideas on a workaround, or how to use the qcp as a ringtone instead?
Not like its important; but my buddy who's still on the crackberry is having too much fun watch me pop a gasket trying to figure this out
I have a Droid Eris. I have Zedge. I have a certain notification sound that I downloaded from Zedge. It shows up on the list, but there is apparently no sound associated with the item in the list. I manually downloaded the notification to my phone to see if it would play on the phone at all...and yes, it does. But I can't select it from the music player to be a notification sound...all that lets you set is the main phone ringtone...and I don't want it for that.
I hooked up the phone to my PC and made sure all the files were in their correct and happy places...notifications in notifications folder, ringtones in ringtones folder, zedge in zedge.
How do I set different folders for my ringtones and mp3's? I put some ringtones as well as mp3's on my phone. When I open up the music player app, it shows my ringtones and mp3's all together. How do I keep them separate? I don't want my ringtones playing in my music app. The same issue applies to my pictures. I have some small pics that I'm using as my caller ID contact pics, I have some camera pics, and then a few wallpaper pics. I"d like to have them separated when I open up the Albums app. How do I do this?

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy stupidity but who does one link pics to a contact on the Eris? The Eris automatically linked FACEBOOK pictures, but some of the people in my address book do not have FaceBook. I tried looking at the GMail contact, but I did not see a place to add pics. Also, how can I assign RINGTONES to individuals?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI only have about 5 contacts with assigned ringtones (for the people who call me the most) and ANY incoming call from ANYONE now rings with the default ringer.Nothing works. Just the default ringtone every time.Any ideas/thoughts? Doesn't seem to be a big enough issue to cause a stir yet, thus I haven't seen any helpful threads on the subject.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a bunch of custom ringtones in mp3 format on my sd card. When I attach a file and pic to send as mms in handscent they are all alphabetical but in 2 sections. i'll scroll down through a-z, then after that it starts a-z again with other rigntones. They are all stored in same folder. Why is there 2 sections of ringtones instead of just all in one a-z list?
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust making the move to the Eris after using the iPhone for two years. I've taken great joy from making custom ringtones and "new text message" sounds in iTunes etc. Will I still be able to do this with the Eris? If so, how?
View 49 Replies View RelatedIt seems lately when I have my eris in my upper coat pocket and it rings, it sounds like the speaker is blown. Real tint sounding but once I move it the sounds are better. Laying on my desk or in my hand it seems fine. Almost like the speaker doesn't like the upward vertical position or something.
View 2 Replies View RelatedCan you change the ring tone for text messages to a song i can't ever hear the default one
View 13 Replies View RelatedI had this problem in 2.1v2, I installed v3, and it first, all was well, then yesterday I noticed the same thing...none of my custom set ring tones are being used. phone always rings with the system default.
I can change that, and it rings that tone, but any I assign to a contact don't work.
I haven't installed any ring tone managers or anything, I can't think of what would be messing with it, but it is friggin annoying!
My battery life sucks.I use TasKiller pretty regularly and I still get less than twelve hours out of it.Also would like a free ringtone download source?I had a blackberry curve and used crackberry forums for ringtones, haven't found a good one for Eris yet.(Haven't looked exceedingly hard either though.)Anybody know how to get rid of native HTC or Android apps?Like MP3 store, stocks and Peep?Tried QuickUninstall and it didn't do the trick.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSome custom ROMs have different ringtones. I have a "Ringtones" folder on my SD with my own, but the ROMs carry theirs internally and once you change ROMs, so do the ringtones. I haven't looked yet, but would they possibly be in the ROM zip file and could I just pull them out of the zip to my computer? I guess I will look now, but let me know if this is the right way or if something else works better. Ultimately I would like to pull off all system ringtones so I can condense to my own and ones I have selected. It's overwhelming sometimes given that I don't and won't ever use 70% of the stock tones.
