HTC Droid Eris :: Way To Turn Vibration Off
May 27, 2010I just got a droid Eris, I love it. One thing I cant stand about it is the freaking vibrate that happens whenever I hit a button, please, is there way to turn this off?

When I'm in a call and get an email or text message, the phone vibrates as it normally would- causing the person on the other end of the line to hear a really annoying noise.. May 18, 2010I updated my phone to 2.1 via the OTA update. Noticed that the really annoying vibration for home, menu, back, and search is finally gone!
But allowing you to turn off all vibration would be just too uncool. So HTC invented yet another !@#$ vibration when the phone connects after you press dial.
Is there a way to turn this off? I looked everywhere but can't find any option to do this.
HTC Droid Eris : Very Weak Vibration Feature
Nov 17, 2009Wondering if there are any creative ideas/hacks/apps that can make the vibration on the Eris even a little more noticeable? I think it's fair to say this is a VERY weak vibration feature, and a lot of folks have a hard time feeling it vibrate when a call or notification comes in.
I'm assuming it's a hardware thing, but thought maybe there are some creative workarounds.
I really like most everything else about this phone, but I cannot feel it at all when it's set to vibrate, so I'll definitely be missing calls & texts when carrying it around on my belt (or even pocket) as it's usually in vibrate mode then.

May 21, 2010I know that you can make it so there is NO vibration while you are typing text messages. I had it turned off, but I wiped and now I cannot find where to go in order to turn it off again. Mar 19, 2010I have not rooted my phone, so I have stock. I don't want to root my phone either until I hear how the 2.1 update performs.
So my question is, does anyone know how to turn the vibration off for the dial pad? I got it turned off for texting and I have the noise off for the dial pad just can't seem to get the vibration off. The reason I ask is because my dial pad is realllllllyy laggy. Like it takes 2-3+ seconds for a number that you press to show up and I feel like the vibration is the reason for the lag.

Jun 9, 2010My phone no longer vibrates in vibration mode or for any other setting for which I have vibration turned on. My haptic feedback disappeared at the same time.
Haptic feedback is checked yet there is none. I have rebooted and pulled the battery to no avail. My phone is useless in vibration mode since it no longer vibrates.
Anyone have a clue why this would have happened? One minute it was working the next it wasn't.
