Can't Find Option Android Project

Android :: No Build Option In New Project Dialog Box In Eclipse IDE
Dec 22, 2009I am trying to build my first project for Android platform using the Eclipse IDE. The problem I am facing is that there is no option under the "Build Target" label in the New Android Project dialog box. And, hence I am not able to proceed beyond this dialog box (as the "Next" button is deactivated.) The online documentation says, "Under Target, select an Android target to be used as the project's Build Target. The Build Target specifies which Android platform you'd like your application built against." Could anyone tell me how to bring options under "Target" label. I am using Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo) and have installed latest Android SDK as well as all Android Platform components. Jul 2, 2012I'm following a guide for creating the android project in eclipse from the android developer site, and I've followed every step up to creating the project, and the ADT plugin has been correctly installed and configured. The problem: Under the android tab in the new project wizard there is no option for android project. There are various other android options like Android Activity, Android Application Project, Android Icon Set, etc. How I can enable the option for Android Project?

I created an empty project, set it to be a library in the properties screen, then imported some classes. Next, I created a new (non library) project and added my new library project to it. Jun 26, 2010I am trying to add an 'Android Library project' I have created to another regular Android project. The Library Project had a jar dependency and was also dependent on another java project in my workspace. I had to add both of these to the my 'regular Android project' because otherwise Eclipse could not find them (Not sure if this was the right thing to do because it would mean that I will have to manually update all projects when the library gets another jar dependency). Anyway, the errors went away and now the Regular Android Project can't find the R class, I have tried a clean but it did not work. I checked in the /gen folder and both the R classes are there - from the library and the regular project.They have the correct strings inside them.

Oct 11, 2012I like having big icons on my phone but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do that. It seems the only launcher that will let me resize the icons is Go Launcher but I find it to be bulky and cumbersome is there any other launcher out there that will let me resize or even an app which will do it for me? I've used desktop visualizer to no avail and I'm pretty sure I've gone through most of the more popular launchers but was unable to find a resize option in them.
My phone is unrooted and I'm using a Xperia Pro.

Aug 17, 2010According to this SDK guide, unit-testing a Library project can be achieved by creating a standard application project, reference the Library project and then instrument the application for unit testing. However, when I do this and launch the test application I get the message.No tests found with test runner 'JUnit 3".I'm using Eclipse and the Android ADT plugin, all latest versions.the projects compile just fine. The test project also installs fine to the emulator. But in the console I can see that it looks for <library>.apk, which of course doesn't exist since I'm compiling this as a library into the test project.

Nov 14, 2010Ok i have not been able to find any answers what so ever regarding the people that can not find the backup/restore option after entering the recovery mode. I have recently rooted using the new z4root application. I get a skull and crossbones supper user app, and was wondering if that means its different than the one with the ninja icon that everyone else gets.
Anyways, When i go to make a nandroid back up, i follow the steps to the letter, but when i get to the recovery menu, my options stop after the wipe baseband data option. there is absolutely nothing else there that says anything about backup/restore option everyone seems to be screaming about. Its not there!
Now please can someone figure out a solution to this problem?
My recovery looks like as follows: Android system recovery <3e>
Use d-pad to highlight: center to select.
reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
wipe baseband data
Android :: Project Contains Errors - Eclipse Won't Compile Project
Mar 21, 2010Somethings I'll have an? .xml file selected when I compile a project, only to have a? .out.xml generated. Deleting the file doesn't clear the error, and Eclipse won't compile the project. It just reports that your project contains errors. The solution is to go to Project/Clean. This will clear the error in the project and allow it to compile.

Aug 11, 2010I can now get our Android project to talk to our non-Android project. But there's still an issue: I are trying to have an Android class call a non Android Hello World class. I tried compiling our non-Android Hello World class in a separate Eclipse workspace. I then packaged it into a jar. I imported that jar into our Android Hello World class.
I then called one of the methods in the non-Android Hello World class. When I ran the Android Hello World class as an Android application, the following runtime error occurred. Here are the Android debug logs:

Android :: Reference Project Library From Another Project
Jun 6, 2010I have 2 android projects out of which I modified one to work as a library. I want the main project to refer to this library to perform few functions. While this scenario works just as expected, I want to introduce one more functionality. I want to link this library project with another just a java project which has code common to both Android and Blackberry applications. This second part however doesn't seem to work and throws "The application <appname> (<package name>) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" with a ForceClose button. I would greatly appreciate if someone can give a brief information on how to make this work.

But it is not working. I can see the library project is added to my application but I cannot reference anything in it because it won't build. The R.java file from the lib is NOT being added to my application project, so the lib project contains tons of errors, everywhere it tries to reference it's own R.java file.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but in the console there are messages stating that the there is "No resource identifier found for attribute 'X' in package 'Lib Package'. My library package has a a few styleable attributes defined for a custom view I made, all of which are being complained about in this console message. The library builds just fine, and I don't get those messages in the console until I hook the library to my application, so I don't know what's up with this.
