View 9 RepliesI have a Tmobile rooted Samsung Galaxy S III, I was running a nightly Cyanogenmod 10 ROM. Yesterday there was an update for that rom and I downloaded it and installed it, everything was fine and running smoothly until some people started telling me that they were not able to reach me by phone. I tried checking what was wrong and I finally realized that whenever I have my mobile data on or while I am using it I don't receive voice calls. I tried looking everywhere for a way to fix this and I came across the ##DATA# code in which I could turn off the DDTM option but unfortunately my phone doesn't recognize that code.
this is the message I get every time I try to enter ##3282# code.
I thought that maybe something was wrong with the ROM itself so i decided to browse around here for one for my Tmobile samsung galaxy S 3 and I decided to install this one [ROM][4.2.2][RC1] LiquidSmooth ROMs - d2tmo - 2|14|13
after wiping data/cache and dalvik cache I installed this ROM and this is my current phone info and still when I am using my mobile data I cant receive calls nor put the ##DATA# code to turn off DDTM.
is there any other way I could access that DDTM option?
Another thing I realized is that even tho I did the factory reset, wipe dalvik cache and data cache on recovery mode my phone still says it only has 4gb free on its internal memory, isn't it supposed to be completely free after wiping all that stuff?
I recently updated my S3 to run Jelly Bean 4.3, and now when I receive a text it both vibrates and plays the notification sound rather than just the notification sound as it used to. I can't seem to find a way to turn this off?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo the phone was working fine for a few days. All calls were clear, however today when I got home and made a call the call was not clear and had a background noise that sounds like a shower or white nose. All subsequent calls I make have this background noise and I tried rebooting the phone, putting my sim card in another phone (call was clear on other phone), and tried factory resetting the nexus. The noise still persists.
I was wondering if anyone else experienced this problem and what you would suggest I do.
So I am trying to simulate that the phone is receiving a call. I have successfully extracted the phones ring tone and played it. Now I want to simulate the vibration. While I can make the phone vibrate, I want to emulate the exact pattern that the phone vibrates with as when it receives a call. Is there some setting or class that I can use to extract this pattern, and also detect if vibration is turned on?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy SII, on O2 in the UK with their latest software release (Jelly Bean). Since the update the Jelly Bean the other month, it had been working like a dream, but starting this week, my phone seems to freeze whenever a call is recieved, or I try to dial out. The screen just goes black and the phone becomes unresponsive. Sometimes, the screen just stays black and I have to take the battery out to restart. At other times the phone will come back after between 1 and 4 minutes, after apparently rebooting itself (the Samsung welcome screen flashes up).
The phone will also now hang and fail to play media (MP3) files. Whether using the Google Player, the native Samsung app or VLC. Normally, the screen goes black for a minute or two and then the app will show the track as queued up with artwork) but it will not play and the app just freezes. Other apps, internet browsing and text messages works as usual.
I have tried removing any recently installed apps (only Dropbox was new recently) and I tried the factory reset. The problems persist after both.
having problems receiving calls. When I call the phone from another line, nothing happens except its logged as a missed call. The screen doesnt light up and no options for receiving calls. This happened before I installed Google voice. I disabled Google voice and still no joy. Everything else works. I can make calls, browse over WiFi and 3G.

How do I completely turn the phone onto silent and have it NOT vibrate?
Android doesn't seem to recognize when I am on the phone. While on a call, it still vibrates when I get a text or e-mail. It is loud and annoying. When not on vibrate, it still plays the message received tone, and it is loud too. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI LOVE my EVO, but I have all my notifications set to vibrate which I like, except when I receive an incoming phone call, instead of just vibrating every 2 seconds or so, the thing goes into bezerk crazy vibrate mode, it's quite annoying and loud.Especially if I am sitting in a meeting and I get a call, every other phone I've had in my life just vibrates every few seconds, until it either goes to voicemail, or I ignore the call to stop the vibrating. So is there anyway to keep the EVO from vibrating so ferociously?I mean it doesn't even stop to breathe just one vibrate right after another.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHow do I turn off the vibration notification while I am on a call? If I am on a phone call, and I get a text or email, the phone vibrates. I want this feature of course while I am NOT on a call, but while on a call people on the other end of the call have described it as a duck being murdered. I have tested it myself and cant disagree with them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have turned off all vibrations on my phone because I can not stand them. The only ones I can not figure out is when making a call. When dialing numbers, it has the haptic feedback for each number, and when you press send it vibrates for an outgoing call. Any one know how to turn these off?

We are using Samsung Galaxy mobile running on T-Mobile & AT&T cellular networks.
We notice during telephone calls, either dialing outgoing or incoming calls, the display turn off almost immediately when the telephone calls started.
Is there anyway to keep the display turn on all during the entire telephone calls?
I understand you can make all the hard buttons to wake up your phone by modify rhis register, HKCUControl PanelKeybd and create REG_DWORD "DefaultKeyLock" Value "0"
step by step instruction on how to modify this register inside Android?
Anyone know how to find the option to stop this vibration? It started when I upgraded to 2.1 and can't find the option to turn the it off. I know when I'm calling someone, I don't need a vibration.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI keep my phone near my head on my bed, since I use it as an alarm clock. Unfortunately the Vibrant is vibrating at the end of the charge cycle, which is distracting when I'm trying to fall asleep!
I can't find a setting to turn this off. I have haptic feedback turned off. I keep the phone in vibrate mode (ringer volume = vibrate).
Was just wondering if anyone knew how to turn of the sound and vibration when instant message calls come in?, can't find an option for this anywhere and they are too regular to leave it running whilst at work unless i can switch them off. Also a tip, although it tells you you cannot use over wifi I find it works fine if you disconect the wifi whilst signing in and then reconnect the wifi.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted T-Mobile Galaxy Note II running its stock 4.1.2 ROM (Eww, TouchWiz. I know). Whenever I text my mom through the stock messaging app, it looks like it went through on my end, but she does not receive the message. She's on an AT&T Galaxy S3 running stock 4.1.2 and also uses the default messaging app. I even get a delivery report on my end when I have the option enabled.
Here's where it gets interesting: she can send and receive texts fine to all her other contacts, and I can with mine as well. My girlfriend is on the same carrier and plan as me and has no issues texting my mom and I have no issues texting my dad who is on the same carrier and plan as my mom. There's something uniquely wrong with the way our two devices interact.
We have both rebooted our devices, cleared the app as well as system cache on both devices and deleted and re-added each other as contacts, all to no avail.
I wrote some code that mute the phone whenever an incoming call is received.
When the phone in vibrate mode I use the following code to stop the phone vibration:
Vibrator vib = (Vibrator) context.getSystemService(Context.VIBRATOR_SERVICE);
vib.cancel();
While it worked on my Nexus One with android 2.1, it seems that it doesn't stop the vibration on an HTC Desire handset with android 2.1.
Have someone encountered this issue?
Any way to stop my phone from opening the recent calls list after I receive a call? I call be listening to music take an incoming call then after the other party hangs up my phone opens the recent call list. I would like it to just got back to what ever I had open at the time of the call, like the music app.
I has a Galaxy Nexus(toro) running CM10 nighties.
For some reason my EVO has decided to stop accepting any incoming calls, texts, or voice mails. I was only able to receive these messages when I was able to get a call to connect and I got a flood of voice mails and texts as if it hadn't been connected to the network the entire time. It also does this thing where it doesn't connect the call when I dial someone. Instead of connecting and seeing the time duration for the call appear, it instead takes forever to connect and just says dialing for a really long time. It was doing it last night, and then this morning it seemed to be normal again, but now it's doing it again. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I won't have time to go to sprint until Monday and this is really irritating me.

I have noticed that when I am browsing web pages I cannot receive phone calls - they go straight to voicemail. I am using a T-Mobile G2 on the T-mobile network in the UK. Is this a standard issue and, if so, are they any ways of dealing with it?

I'm new to Android and have the Nexus 4. I have a question about a music timer. I'm playing/streaming my music through Google Play Music. Is there a way to make it stop playing after a set amount of time, say 1 hour? I can't find a way to make it do that. I bought automate it pro but setting up the rules didn't quite work like I thought.
