View 1 Replies View RelatedThis may be a stupid question but can you D/L themes and apply them using MetaMorph to any ROM? I see A LOT of cool themes that I'd like to start messing around with but I'm not sure if you need to be on a certain ROM or not. Also, how do you use MM to apply the themes?

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I rebooted the phone got stuck at the boot animation (Red Rage).I can even hear the notification for the SD card being mounted, and then the screen times out.I can push the standby button to get it to turn back on again and then it turns off after a few seconds, as if it is at the lock screen. It then just sits there, still at the boot animation and the touch screen does not respond.I've left it for up to 10 minutes like that and the phone isn't frozen or anything, but it's just stuck at the boot animation.I pulled the battery, went into CW Recovery and cleared the cache.Reboot again. This time it boots up Android OS just fine, but it's still the normal Cyanogenmod theme. Also, recently whenever I've restarted the phone, the live wallpaper has reset to the Nexus wallpaper that comes with Cyanogen and the dust theme. I have to keep switching it back to Nexusmod donate with the blue theme (my fav!). Wasn't sure if that might be related.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a couple of questions about Handcent. I have been using chompSMS. I really like how much you can customize the fonts, colors, and notifications as well as other things. I also like the notification system. I use it to notify me instead of the default sms app. Once I open, reply or close the text the notification goes away. I was thinking of trying Handcent just to see how it compares. I was wondering if it has a lot of customization options and notification options as well.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow to change the fonts on your rooted Droid Eris. I'm not sure if this works for all Android phones, so backup your phone before proceeding. This DOES change key Android files, so be careful. If you brick your phone, it's not my fault.
First of all, go to this website and find a font you like:
1001 Free Fonts - Download Free Fonts for Windows and Macintosh
The file you download should be a .zip, and when unzipped be in the format .TTF. Copy the .TTF file to your SD card. I suggest SDCard/Fonts/. After finding a nice font, download Type Fresh from the Market (free). Also, pick up AndExplorer (free) while you're there. Type Fresh will allow you to change your fonts, and Andexplorer is used as a handy file explorer.
Run Type Fresh, and it will display all the system fonts that Android uses. Touch DroidSans, and it will display a window using AndExplorer. At this point it should request superuser permissions; allow it. Find the folder with your fonts, select a font, and press okay. Press menu and select apply fonts. Allow it to reboot your phone when it asks, and afterwards you should have a nice new font to make your Eris even sexier.
I've seen other themes, and I like to make a set of fonts for my own phone.I'm having a hard time finding some, so i figured I'd learn how.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI want to use colors from a Theme to apply it to HTML my app is rendering. I am wondering if I can do that? I am looking to use colors like they are specified in themes.xml: <itemname = " color Fore ground">@android:color/bright_foreground_dark
name =" colorBack ground " >@android:color/background_dark

@android: color/primary_text_dark
I get this as a result: I/System.out( 1578): tv.string=null I/System.out( 1578): tv.coerced=#ffffffff I/System.out( 1578): colorResourceId=-1 I/System.out( 1578): tv.string=res/color/primary_text_light.xml I/System.out( 1578): tv.coerced=res /color/primary_text_light.xml I/System.out( 1578): colorResourceId=-16777216 The results are different. The first one actually gives me the color "#fffffff" which would work for me, the second one only gives me an xml. Do I need to jump through a few more hoops here to resolve the actual color? Does my original intention work at all? Maybe it won't work, because colors could be arbitrary drawables? I didn't find any relevant documentation, but if you know any, just point me there please. Btw. I also tried obtainStyledAttributes(), but this had basically the same issues. ou received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group. View 5 Replies View RelatedMy query is regarding on whether we can apply dynamically themes in android, like what we do with our phones in which we can select a theme and the same theme gets applied all across the phone. Is there a way to do this in android? (I am able to change the default theme by hardcoding in the code (styles.xml),but I need to know how we can we set themes dynamically. I saw the Android phone, but there is no Setting where we can set the Theme.)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am wondering how to apply themes from xda in our galaxy. A lot of themes say that will only work on cyanogen mod rom and i am not that expert to make experiments with my phone. The way of setting a theme must be the same (update.zip or correct me if i am wrong). I think we can make a list here of the working themes on galaxy and maybe a how to install or modify themes to work with galaxy.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll the threads that I see for applying system wide, they would replace the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk and thus would require a restart of the device from the recovery mode.
However, the ROMs like MIUI and ChameleonOS does it without a restart.
Even few Old ICS devices used to come prebundeled with 2-3 Themes with different wallpapers and launcher default widgets.
I'm trying to do something on the lines of above ROMs and have started checking their code. And found that the starting point is by appending an extra path with the AssetManager, but since they also do a lot of changes to other applications,
would be great if I can get some pointers on where to start, key things to do to get the ball rolling and if there is already some solution like this which I can add to my ROM
I'm a new Moto Droid user. I was wondering if anyone has any info on the LED colors and if there is a way to control them. (I miss my blinking green LED on my BB that let me know I was connected to the Network, for example)

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've been searching everywhere on this issue but have not been able to find any solid answers. On my Droid X, all system buttons and lists, when pressed, are a bright red color. I want to find out how I can change this color. I'm not that familiar with android, so I don't know if this is an issue that can be solved via themes, or if I need to go deeper into the OS.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to change the colors of the Wif bars on the status bar at top of screen I extracted the .png files (blue bars), opened them in Paint, and manually changed the color to yellow. Zipped them back up in Metamorph format and pushed them to my Metamorph format and pushed them to my sdcard Applied theme using Metamorph, and it worked, except that the background is now white. I created a theme using the original 5 files. I created a theme using the original 5 png's with blue bars, applied the theme, and it worked and it doesn't have the white background. I think I understand what's happening, but not sure how to format the pictures correctly so just the bars show without the background. Any help appreciated, thanks

View 14 Replies View RelatedThere are a few ways to change the color of the clock, notification bar, and pull down menu.
Standard disclaimer: I take no responsibility for anything you do or screw up on your phone.
AdamZ has updated method A (now called Droid Customizer) and it now changes all notification colors. It will overwrite any other changes you have previously made to the services.jar and framework-res.apk files so the manual method is still useful for people who have already made changes and don't want to lose them.
A - [Release] Droid Customizer v1.0 *Updated 3/02* (edit 4/7/10: fixed this link)
If you are familiar with the installation process of the smoked glass themes then this is an option. Has 13 color options as well as 12 font options that you can use.
B - Manually (sorta) change everything. I did it this way because AdamZ's method in A wasn't out yet and I think the way described in method A might overwrite other changes you have made (not sure on that though)
This will probably look long with a lot of steps but it really isn't too complicated.

I just picked up an ERIS yesterday. I'm coming from a BB Storm. If you could please answer these questions (or tell me if there is an app for it) I will be very appreciative.
1- How do I make all the fonts larger. Inlcuding the default system font for menus, SMS, calendar, etc.
2- How do I set the color of the LED for different notifications. I use to have Blue for e-mail, green for SMS and red for calls.
3- How do I set the notifications to repeat periodically. I've always used 2 mins.
4a- In the favorites screen how can I have just a list of individuals. It wants to use a photo and I do not use these. The space for the photo is just wasted.
4b- In the favorites screen how can I set up the same individual for multiple items. For instance: John - Mobile and John - SMS.
4c- If some one is familiar with Quicklaunch for the BB then I really need something like that. If this exists the 4b is not relevant.
5- Is there an app that will make the keyboard letters larger.
6- Can I speed up the accelerometer. It is woefully slow.
7- How do I delete a downloaded app that I no longer want. (I already uninstalled) but it still shows up as downloaded.
So, my Eris has been charging for a while, and I was playing Cestos, and noticed my LED was alternating between Green and Amber. So I exited my game, thinking I probably had an E-mail. Well I didn't. I unplugged my charger, plugged it back in, and it continued this for about 15 minutes. It isn't doing it now, but I just would like to know the cause of it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo on Android, when we tap on something in the menus it shows up as orange or, on Sense devices, green. Now, I've got nothing major against green. But I would definitely love to have blue or red there instead. Though, I've tried searching the market and internet for a solution to no avail.Does anyone have a solution to my oh-so-simple-but-serious-yet-still-small problem?
