I downloaded SMS Popup and Missed Call because I want to use the LED notifier to change colors and display text messages, but even after selecting those options, it still doesnt work. Has anyone figured this out? Or is there a better app that works?

Is their any way without downloading and app to Change the LED light color for different people calling and TXTing? Also, is their a way to change the color of the bubbles in the Text messaging area.

AdamZ has updated method A (now called Droid Customizer) and it now changes all notification colors. It will overwrite any other changes you have previously made to the services.jar and framework-res.apk files so the manual method is still useful for people who have already made changes and don't want to lose them.

If you are familiar with the installation process of the smoked glass themes then this is an option. Has 13 color options as well as 12 font options that you can use.
B - Manually (sorta) change everything. I did it this way because AdamZ's method in A wasn't out yet and I think the way described in method A might overwrite other changes you have made (not sure on that though)
This will probably look long with a lot of steps but it really isn't too complicated.
Prerequisits
Rooted
Android sdk installed and some familiarity with adb
adb info: Start Here | Root Your Droid
1 - Plug in your phone and don't mount the sd card.
2 - On your computer open a command prompt and navigate to the android sdk tools folder.
3 - Type these commands:

Did a quick search and found nothing. Out of the blue last week, the vibrate notification for both emails and texts has stopped working. It is still working in vibrate mode for calls though. I use Profiles app and have changed nothing on it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to change the colors of the Wif bars on the status bar at top of screen I extracted the .png files (blue bars), opened them in Paint, and manually changed the color to yellow. Zipped them back up in Metamorph format and pushed them to my Metamorph format and pushed them to my sdcard Applied theme using Metamorph, and it worked, except that the background is now white. I created a theme using the original 5 files. I created a theme using the original 5 png's with blue bars, applied the theme, and it worked and it doesn't have the white background. I think I understand what's happening, but not sure how to format the pictures correctly so just the bars show without the background. Any help appreciated, thanks

The only problem is before my events were a pleasant shade of light blue. Now they changed to a kind of ugly maroon-red color. Is there any way to change the color of the boxes?

On my Droid X, all system buttons and lists, when pressed, are a bright red color. I want to find out how I can change this color. I have one contact that has a phone link, twitter link, facebook link, and gmail link, and the display name is the twitter name. I dont like this, and I cant change it. I tried linking the phone contact name last, and it still reverts to Twitter. Where are the permissions at to say which account should bear the contact name in my phonebook? Anyway, I've been without a working device for a week now as I wait for my DX to arrive. I just check voice mail a couple times a day to make sure I'm not missing anything important. On the other hand, I have to imagine I have a serious back log of texts. A buddy of mine said he thought the DX (which my wife currently has) could be configured to retrieve texts from more than one account (phone number). Is that possible? View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently been having issues with text messaging. About half of the texts that I try to send end up in a "pending" state. If you go to the factory messaging, and long press on a message, there is an option to "View Report" and that is where it has the pending status. I can't seem to figure out a rhyme or reason to this, but they don't actually get sent to the people I'm trying to send them to. Does anyone have any ideas? I've been fine with the stock messaging program, but would Handcent fix this? I'm up for trying anything at this point, as long as I can text and be sure the people are going to get them. BTW I was hoping the 2.0.1 update would fix this, but I force loaded the update and it's still doing it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted 2.2 DX, and on 2.1 when I got a new text it would jump to the top of the list with a blue dot next to it. Now ever since I upgraded to 2.2 I still get the blue dot next to my unread text messages but it doesn't jump to the top of the list. I don't know if that is just how froyo works now or if it's an issue just on my phone.
