View 3 RepliesI want to use a Button in my android app but I want to customize how it looks. However, I want the highlight and selected colors of the button to be the same as the default colors (i.e. the dark and light orange gradients, or whatever the theme color supplies). Is there anyway to get the default highlight/selected drawables and to use that as the fill for my buttons on the selected and highlighted states?

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow do I change the original orange highlight color to something else? That is, the color I get when I click in a ListView.
I've tried to set the android:textColorHighlight of the ListView and/or the TextView for the rows, nothing work.
I've manage to remove it by setting android:listSelector="#00000000" of my ListView but I just want to change the color, but it seems impossible.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm working on an android application, and I have a drawable that I'm loading up from a source image. On this image, I'd like to convert all of the white pixels to a different color, say blue, and then cache the resultant Drawable object so I can use it later. So for example say I have a 20x20 PNG file that has a white circle in the middle, and that everything outside the circle is transparent. What's the best way to turn that white circle blue and cache the results? Does the answer change if I want to use that source image to create several new Drawables (say blue, red, green, orange, etc)?I'm guessing that I'll want to use a ColorMatrix in some way, but I'm not sure how.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy app was built on the Android 1.5 platform. I'm in the process of bumping the APIs used to 2.1 . I am still leaving minSdkVersion=3 / targetSdkVersion = 7 in order to support older platforms.
I've made the required drawbles-hdpi / -mdpi - ldpi-v4 folders. Everything is looking great across various AVDs of HVGA/WVGA shapes and sizes.
Everything, except my tabs.
In AVDs running Android 1.5 and 1.6, my tab background colors are appropriate: http://www.shelvesforandroid.com/1p6below.png
However, for platforms running 2.1 and above, something seems to have gone awry:

Notice that the unselected tab color is correct, but the selected tab looks like it's just bleeding the same color as my images.
What can I do to fix this? Enforce the background color to be the same as 1.6-era ?
What is causing this tab color change?
I have a couple of list views, one uses TextViews laid out with xml, the other uses a custom class derived from View. The default halloween color scheme is pretty ugly. How can I change the background and selection colors for the list elements. Ideally, I'd like to be able to do this in code not xml, to handle the custom view.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been searching everywhere on this issue but have not been able to find any solid answers. On my Droid X, all system buttons and lists, when pressed, are a bright red color. I want to find out how I can change this color. I'm not that familiar with android, so I don't know if this is an issue that can be solved via themes, or if I need to go deeper into the OS.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI would like to change the colors of the Wif bars on the status bar at top of screen I extracted the .png files (blue bars), opened them in Paint, and manually changed the color to yellow. Zipped them back up in Metamorph format and pushed them to my Metamorph format and pushed them to my sdcard Applied theme using Metamorph, and it worked, except that the background is now white. I created a theme using the original 5 files. I created a theme using the original 5 png's with blue bars, applied the theme, and it worked and it doesn't have the white background. I think I understand what's happening, but not sure how to format the pictures correctly so just the bars show without the background. Any help appreciated, thanks

View 14 Replies View RelatedThere are a few ways to change the color of the clock, notification bar, and pull down menu.
Standard disclaimer: I take no responsibility for anything you do or screw up on your phone.
AdamZ has updated method A (now called Droid Customizer) and it now changes all notification colors. It will overwrite any other changes you have previously made to the services.jar and framework-res.apk files so the manual method is still useful for people who have already made changes and don't want to lose them.
A - [Release] Droid Customizer v1.0 *Updated 3/02* (edit 4/7/10: fixed this link)
If you are familiar with the installation process of the smoked glass themes then this is an option. Has 13 color options as well as 12 font options that you can use.
B - Manually (sorta) change everything. I did it this way because AdamZ's method in A wasn't out yet and I think the way described in method A might overwrite other changes you have made (not sure on that though)
This will probably look long with a lot of steps but it really isn't too complicated.

So I exited my game, thinking I probably had an E-mail. Well I didn't. I unplugged my charger, plugged it back in, and it continued this for about 15 minutes. It isn't doing it now, but I just would like to know the cause of it.
