I need to change installed on Android emulator fonts. E.g. I would like to install TrueType font which covers some other locales like Arabic, Chinese or so. I just wonder is it possible or not?

View 4 Replies View RelatedHow to change the fonts on your rooted Droid Eris. I'm not sure if this works for all Android phones, so backup your phone before proceeding. This DOES change key Android files, so be careful. If you brick your phone, it's not my fault.
First of all, go to this website and find a font you like:
1001 Free Fonts - Download Free Fonts for Windows and Macintosh
The file you download should be a .zip, and when unzipped be in the format .TTF. Copy the .TTF file to your SD card. I suggest SDCard/Fonts/. After finding a nice font, download Type Fresh from the Market (free). Also, pick up AndExplorer (free) while you're there. Type Fresh will allow you to change your fonts, and Andexplorer is used as a handy file explorer.
Run Type Fresh, and it will display all the system fonts that Android uses. Touch DroidSans, and it will display a window using AndExplorer. At this point it should request superuser permissions; allow it. Find the folder with your fonts, select a font, and press okay. Press menu and select apply fonts. Allow it to reboot your phone when it asks, and afterwards you should have a nice new font to make your Eris even sexier.
I need to change the dialog's typeface to use an external font that supports some unicode characters. Unfortunately, there is no AlertDialog.setTypeFace() method available.

It is without a doubt better than any phone that I've had over the years, and that includes the iPhone, BB, etc. However, there are 2 things that I don't understand - Font size and a spell checker. It is impossible to read the small font size in emails or text messages. 1. Why has there not been an app to either change the font size or be able to zoom in? Picasy has incorporated multi-touch for zooming, so I've to assume that its doable! Why not have the same in an email client. 2. Why is there not an email client out there that allows for spell checking? There are many such apps for the BB! I am a terrible speller. I am not complaining, I just want to understand the limitations from a developers prospective, as I am sure these issues will eventually be addressed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used the search button, my question is: I want to change the fonts on my xperia arc s. but not just with a third party app, that only half of the fonts are replaced, i want it so that every single letter in every app is changed. for example i have (as i said the arc s) and my girlfriend has the sgs2. when i compare my letters with hers in whatsapp, i have the same font as her (because of a third party app), but the name of the person i'm writing with is still the stock font. on sgs2 the font from the text and the contacts name are both the same.

I'm try to change font of A50 by Fonts Changer. But mistake by rebooting it can't not finish to start up.
By it still showing word "Garmin Asus" and logo android.
- I'm try to wipe userdata. but it still show word "wipe userdata" + "Garmin Asus" + Logo adroid and it not restart like normal.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI changed the default Droid Sans font with Helvetica Neue (which looks gorgeous by the way) and rebooted, worked perfectly. I then decided to change the bold version as well, rebooted, but now I'm stuck at the red Droid eye loading screen over and over again (not the Motorola logo). It just loads for a couple seconds then flashes then repeats. I'm 100% sure I didn't misspell anything and I still have the backups of the fonts in the system folder but how can I now boot into the phone without factory resetting it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just picked up an ERIS yesterday. I'm coming from a BB Storm. If you could please answer these questions (or tell me if there is an app for it) I will be very appreciative.
1- How do I make all the fonts larger. Inlcuding the default system font for menus, SMS, calendar, etc.
2- How do I set the color of the LED for different notifications. I use to have Blue for e-mail, green for SMS and red for calls.
3- How do I set the notifications to repeat periodically. I've always used 2 mins.
4a- In the favorites screen how can I have just a list of individuals. It wants to use a photo and I do not use these. The space for the photo is just wasted.
4b- In the favorites screen how can I set up the same individual for multiple items. For instance: John - Mobile and John - SMS.
4c- If some one is familiar with Quicklaunch for the BB then I really need something like that. If this exists the 4b is not relevant.
5- Is there an app that will make the keyboard letters larger.
6- Can I speed up the accelerometer. It is woefully slow.
7- How do I delete a downloaded app that I no longer want. (I already uninstalled) but it still shows up as downloaded.
