So on Android, when we tap on something in the menus it shows up as orange or, on Sense devices, green. Now, I've got nothing major against green. But I would definitely love to have blue or red there instead. Though, I've tried searching the market and internet for a solution to no avail.Does anyone have a solution to my oh-so-simple-but-serious-yet-still-small problem?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, my Eris has been charging for a while, and I was playing Cestos, and noticed my LED was alternating between Green and Amber. So I exited my game, thinking I probably had an E-mail. Well I didn't. I unplugged my charger, plugged it back in, and it continued this for about 15 minutes. It isn't doing it now, but I just would like to know the cause of it.

The Eris in question (isn't mine but I'm trying to help the owner out), has of course, horrible battery issues. So, first thing I wanted to do was see if there was a built-in power-manager app like on the Motorola Droid. There wasn't so I downloaded one of the many brightness toggle widgets.
The first widget, when clicked brought up a small menu to select brightness. While that menu was up the brightness would change as it should have but would immediately change back to what it was when that menu closed.
After that I looked in options, disabled auto-brightness, and installed a new widget. This one is a simple press to change brightness in increments. When I push the button the brightness changes momentarily and then resets to whatever the slider in the Settings is at. I've tried moving that slider and that setting is what it always defaults to.
Right now the only way to adjust the brightness is in the settings menu and nothing else will work even though auto-brightness is turned off. Is there any way around this? I'd really like to be able to get it so it can be easily adjusted without having to go through so many steps.
EDIT: Playing around with it further, I tapped the widget to go to 100% brightness and of course the screen dimmed back down to 0%. I then went to the settings menu and as soon as I entered the "Sound and Display" menu, the brightness jumped up to what I had set it at with the widget. After that I can hit the Home key or otherwise leave the menu and the brightness will be properly set... until the screen times out. If the screen times out and I wake it up, it's back to 0% brightness.
I just bought an Eris and wanna get ride of some of the stock apps and junk from view in the all programs menu, ive searched but maybe im not using the right search words.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone unlocked in my pocket I have a droid eris btw. I also have the lockpattern where you connect he dots set up.
In my pocket it did the wrong lock pattern five times and now it is asking me to put my email and password in to unlock it. The problEm is that the keyboard does not come up even when I hold menu.
I'd just like to know if anybody else finds their home row (home,menu,back) to be very picky about registering. I have to firmly plant my finger slightly above these keys to get them to work. I can never get away with pecking at them.
View 10 Replies View RelatedGot a HTC Droid Eris the other day and absolutely love it.However, when adding a new contact on the phone, the drop bown menu box only lists "Phone" and does NOT give a "Google" or "Exchange" option as is indicated on p. 72 of the pdf "User Guide for Droid HTC Eris" by Verizon. I have examined 3 others Droid Eris phones of friends/family, and on each of their phones when adding a new contact the drop down menu box does list the "Google" option in addition to the "Phone" option.The problem with not being able to select "Google" as the contact type is that the contact information does not "sync" with the Gmail "Contacts List" online.

Any suggestions? (Love the phones by the way!) OH!!! And, bought the Seido 3500 mah battery. it really is not that big, fits in my hand nicely. I will let you know how it lasts. charged last night and still strong today. But I will keep updated.

On my Droid X, all system buttons and lists, when pressed, are a bright red color. I want to find out how I can change this color. View 4 Replies View RelatedSo through a weird assortment of events i managed to crack the screen on my Eris. But this is the trippy part, I didnt break the glass but the touch sensors underneath. So now i am unable to use the menu or home buttons and the entire left part of my screen and more. I am unable to unlock my device in anyway that i know(menu button, the slider). Is there any other way to unlock it? I now have 11 unread texts and 4 voicemails that I desperately want to view. Oh and I know some of you won't be happy about what I'm about to say but.... I took the leap to the moto droid. I had the chance to get it on a 1 year because I didnt get insurance and I went for it. I will really miss my Eris but the keyboard lag was just killing me.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI would like to change the colors of the Wif bars on the status bar at top of screen I extracted the .png files (blue bars), opened them in Paint, and manually changed the color to yellow. Zipped them back up in Metamorph format and pushed them to my Metamorph format and pushed them to my sdcard Applied theme using Metamorph, and it worked, except that the background is now white. I created a theme using the original 5 files. I created a theme using the original 5 png's with blue bars, applied the theme, and it worked and it doesn't have the white background. I think I understand what's happening, but not sure how to format the pictures correctly so just the bars show without the background. Any help appreciated, thanks
