So this cool bookmark widget...doesn't always work. I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but sometimes when I click on one of the bookmarks i've saved (especially after browsing the internet a bit) the phone will open the browser to the last page viewed - not the bookmark I selected.

When I go to the internet it doesn't always go to my set home page. It will open with the last page I was on. Am I closing the connection wrong and have the internet still running?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have now been using the samsung galaxy for a week now and there is only one factor that is letting down the phone for me and thats the lagging. I have no complaints about the camera even though its without the flash, the internet speed is top notch and the innovative swype makes life so much easier. However what irritates me is the time it takes to access an app or returning to the home page. It must take 30 seconds or more before the screen is loaded which is annoying when you want to do something in a hurry. This also occurs when someone is ringing me and I'm trying to answer, the phone freezes for 10 seconds. I,ve only downloaded around 10 apps so surely that cannot be the problem. I've got a week left before I have to come to a decision whether or not to keep the phone or return it back to vodafone and would like some advice or reassurance about this problem. Also out of interest I would like to know if anyone has encountered the same problem on the iphone 4. The one area in which the galaxy beats the iphone 4 is the price considering what you get with both however it may be worth it to use a phone that dosent lag.

Also, it seems to save the history, even after I delete history, cookies, caches. Why? I was told to try and keep this, as well as deleted email, empty or the phone may become slow.

I tested it at work and called my phone from my work line and it took about 4 rings until my Eris started to actually ring. Is this normal or do I have an issue?

Is my battery Done? or is this a 2.1 v3 Leak? I've shut the phone of completely, and charged the phone. It still takes several hours to recharge. Anybody having this bad of battery with the Leak?

I've made sure not a lot of apps are running when i go use the camera app, but it still takes 4 seconds or so for the camera to take a picture after I press the trackball.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have seen the new HTC Droid Eris commercial a few times and it seems to fudge the truth when using the HTC people widget. You can clearly see in the commercial someone clicking on a person from the HTC people widget. However, after they click the person it brings up the person's information, as opposed to performing the default action specified for the contact. From my tinkering with this widget, it seems that you cannot actually perform the action they show in the commercial.
View 13 Replies View RelatedSo I just picked up my Eris yesterday. For the most part it is working great right now but a couple things are a little annoying.
First, pinch zoom isn't working in the Google Maps app. Should it? Works great in the browser when surfing the web but not in maps for some reason.
Second, it clicks at me. For example, I'll hit the red power/call end button when I'm done using it to turn off the display. Then I'll set it down on the table or something and it makes these little intermittent click sounds just sitting there. After 5 minutes or so it stops. It isn't constant, just a couple clicks ever 10-30 seconds for a little bit then stops.
Is there a way to increase the font size for the contact page for the Eris? Or maybe there's an app?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had my eris for a week now and noticed that it has developed a clicking noise on the right side of the battery cover. Whenever i hold it in a vertical position, you can here it click. You can actually see the batt cover move just a little bit. Is anyone else having this issue. I know that it is a small thing to complain abt, but that clicking is annoying.

I don't know if it is important, but it always seems to be connected to Edge, and not any other type of connection.
